  1. I thought they were a huge bore, but then, I have felt that way about most of Neil's relationships.
  2. Thanks for showing us this. It's nice to see more of the 70's - there are a few clips I don't remember seeing. The section which focuses on the 90's is beautifully done. I guess they composed their own versions of the themes?
  3. She has an incredible monologue in this clip. I'm impressed AMC remembered some of this about Noah's mother when they brought her in a few years later. I miss Lynne. This clip is also the best example of what (IMO) destroyed the Maria character. The baby obsession is just off the charts here. And the flashbacks of the self-abortion...I'm still surprised that story even made it on the air. I guess because she was punished for her sins. I remember a fan told me that they hated Maria after this, as the story was just so disgusting.

  5. I don't care for Noah, and never have, in part because I think he's a prime example of the "LOOK MA, I'M ACTING!!!!!!" type of performance, but I love the scenes with Noah and Grace. They go beyond cliched dialogue and add some real punch, especially Lynne Thigpen. Superb. Winsor Harmon's not too bad here - better than I thought, anyway. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1dCuld5-sE&feature=autoplay&list=ULAdxVdxcvLrA&lf=mfu_in_order&playnext=1

  8. Would you say the 1994 episode I posted earlier is representative of that time? I really did not care for most of the expository dialogue with Opal/Dixie/Tad about Seabone and Palmer (although at least the show was trying to mine the past for current story). It's so weird seeing the Palmer/Janet thing I'd heard so much about. The show ignored that in later years, didn't they? Janet is in the strangest safe sex PSA ever. Only in the 90's. I did like her "here a buck, there a buck..." line. I kind of liked Edmund's press person (is she in the opening credits after Corvina?). That story didn't do anything for me. It's nice to see Brooke being written with more strength. By the time I started watching (mid 1995) she was so needy. I liked how she fired right back at Adam that she at least had a child who loved her.
  9. I often wish that had been the end of her involvement with Roger. I know storywise, there was still drama to be mined, but, at least after Beverlee left, it just didn't work as well. I felt like Marj's Alex just acted like a harpy around Roger.
  10. Ugh that scene with Ben and Fletcher and the silly glasses really upsets me. I feel so very silly for letting Ben's death story bother me so much... Maureen Julie and Dylan were such a bad match - they look so awkward together. I wonder if the show always planned to break them up or if they realized it didn't work.
  11. I posted that in hopes you'd get to read it. I wish there was a little more - that's all, aside from one or two other photos (this is from the Daytime TV Library on AW). It's fascinating to contrast this with some of the issues between Coster and Beverlee.

  14. Natalie Zea is mentioned on Go Fug Yourself, but it seems to be mostly photos of her feet. http://gofugyourself.com/fug-and-fab-the-accessories-11-12-2011/the-hollywood-foreign-press-association-hfpa-and-instyle-presents-a-night-of-firsts-3 http://gofugyourself.com/fug-and-fab-the-accessories-5-06-2011/critics-choice-television-awards-red-carpet-4
  15. Michelle Hurd. She was also on the first season of SVU. Cassandra Creech played that role for a while too. Alicia Coppola was luminous and so sexy. I'm not sure why they bothered to recast.
  16. Her moll days (one of these has the shot of him twirling her hair that is on AWHP's site...don't remember which though...) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDqUNTdtDK8
  17. Felicia was dropping in to try to help Rachel, as she was afraid for her, with Carl going off the rails. When Lorna first came on the show, she was a music producer, with Carl financing the work of Matt Cory (Matt didn't know this). Lorna was basically his moll and they had been lovers for some time before this. Once they began redeeming both Lorna and Carl, this was dropped, so I was shocked that Felicia threw it in his face. You can see some of this in the 1991 AW episodes P&G put on Youtube. 1993. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QI_qbfbDVZU
  18. Jon Lindstrom was recurring on GH (as Ryan Chamberlin) when he auditioned to play Damian on ATWT. He got very far, and apparently this was enough for GH to sign him to a contract.
