I thought Hayley and Alec were together for a while before Arlene came back. Eric did you get to see some of the episodes I posted that are early in Arlene's return? I love the one where they actually did flashbacks with Hayley in the black wig. I never understood Hayley/Charlie either - who thought that was a great idea? It's just a shame her most famous pairing consisted of someone who spent 5 years grabbing her arm and hissing at her.

What did you think of Hayley/Alec? That pairing always seems odd to me, especially after Alec and Gloria and Adam. I don't get the feeling that the show had a lot of idea what to do with Hayley as she got older. Then she just ended up being Mateo's property.

That's one of the reasons I haven't watched the Revealed yet. I just don't care that much about Pat/Peggy, I always thought Pat was an afterthought in that friendship (and I don't believe Peggy would care about going to the funeral). Frank/Pat were legendary but I've already seen enough about them - that funeral episode for Frank was enough of a big self-reverential end. I've even heard people say Pat's last scene should have been a flashback of the bow tie - why? Morgan's father and the new Lucy. I think a lot of people will hate the new Lucy, especially if she doesn't go around all the time raising an eyebrow and woodenly shouting her lines, like Melissa Suffield. The gorgeous Matthew Wolfenden, perpetually underused by Emmerdale, is going to be on Dancing on Ice. Hopefully he will stay long enough to show off his nice ass in a variety of costumes. As for the rest, I don't care, although it has to improve now that Jason Gardiner is gone.

1. Romney - as always, default. He hates the right people, and he and his family know how to appeal to the extremes (witness the recent birther comments) while pretending to be mainstream conservative. He also has a lot of money, the media adores him, and he is seen as electable. Most of all, the more blatant movement conservatives have canceled each other out. 2. Paul - good organization and most who support him will not be dissuaded. 3. Santorum - the last gasp of a flirtatious base, one that in the end will probably go with Santorum as a protest vote against their party leaders. He is too dull and process-like to move beyond that. 4. Perry - all cattle no hat 5. Gingrich - never a good fit for Iowa, and a deeply unpleasant personality all around 6.
