This is incredible. I'm sure this took so much time to type up. I love getting a glimpse into these characters - the dialogue is so strong and powerful, and the characterizations are sharp. No one like Althea would be on a soap now.

The only clip which is around of her, I believe, is when she testified at Rachel's murder trial (when she shot Mitch). I think she faded away right before the new black focus. I wonder how she felt, being there for years and doing nothing, then they write her out when they want to have a stronger black presence on canvas.

SOD panned that decision, saying it took away what made Myra unique. I just wish they'd moved Natalie away from Trevor. I don't get that relationship.

Well, every story has a fan. I've never known anyone who said they enjoyed this, but I'm sure someone did. The ratings crashed in this year, which may say it all.

An evil organization wanted to kill Kyle Sampson. Billy, his recent half-brother, hated him, and the organization took advantage of this by hypnotizing him into more and more of a rage towards Kyle. The climax was supposed to be at Mindy and Kurt's wedding. The music video Infinity made for Lujack and something about a ring Billy wore would make Billy open fire at the wedding. Billy shot the Infinity guy instead. Kyle's baby mama, Maeve, took a bullet in the melee.

Thanks for all this info. I wish info like stories and characters was easily available for these shows, as I'm always fascinated by these soaps, especially those which burn out quickly. You wonder if they just screwed up, or if they were fads, never to be a long term success. Why do you think Schmetterlinge im Bauch was so unpopular?

Lemay and Rauch began the process of dismantling the Matthew family and it was just about done when Courtney returned. I'm surprised they even asked her back, since her era of the show was long past. I think they should have toyed with making Alice remote, scarred from her mistakes, and with an edge, as that was basically the main way to write heroines in that age range (Felicia, Rachel) by this time. I also wonder how Alice/Carl might have been.

Thanks. "about people you'll care about" sounds awful. The main man in the ad looks scary. I wonder if people thought it was a horror show.
