Thanks for the recaps and articles. I haven't had a chance to read the recap yet. The review is great. Rare to see soap criticism at this time and they seem to hit home about some of the aimlessness on OLTL at this time. I did laugh at them putting down her pairing with Clint. No way.

I think they'd already run out of any story for Kimberly anyway. The multiple personality story was awful.

Loved the Stacey/Vicky scenes! Was John talking about Stacey taking Mikey or was he referring to something else?

That review is interesting. I thought AMC was seen as hitting a rough patch by mid-1985.

I do wonder why they never did more with Rafe. I assume Rauch just didn't care about the character and mostly kept him on for loyalty.

Sarah was an 18 or 19 year old girl Jack met in Aremid. She went back to Salem I guess. I think she was intended to be part of a spinoff which was killed when Melissa Reeves abruptly left in late 1995. As a result she was soon written out. Jude went psycho and kidnapped Hope and was killed.

Who was this Matt? At first I thought he was the kid whom Susan befriended and then he died, but Susan was gone by this time. I wish I could see the Tina story. It doesn't sound great but I want to see Rebecca Hollen. I wish we could see the Valerie/Kate story. Did they know Valerie was being written out by this time? The Melinda story just sounds recycled. I wish they'd kept her around.

I guess I wonder if a lot of independents may vote on the economy. The true believers, who are often uninspired by Romney, might be eating this up. It's very interesting that he does this right after receiving blistering criticism for being uninspired and having no passion or ideas.

I think this might help Romney, as he will be hyped as "tough" and "standing up to those America-hating libs." However, the smile on his face sent a chill up my spine. More than once I've gotten the sociopath vibes from him but never as much as I did right now. It scares me.

I remember thinking Renee looked stylish in fur but now I can't even remember if she wore one. I think Renee #1 did. How often did AE Tina wear one?

I don't approve of furs but I would be lying if I said I didn't love seeing them on soap divas. Nothing says soap diva like a fur, at least a sleek fur, not the type Kim wore on ATWT which looked like a bear devouring her.

Ian has been a victim of horrific writing for many years, off and on and off and on. As much of a [!@#$%^&*] as he can be I do not believe he would ever say that to Kathy. That rape story was one of the best stories Eastenders ever had, by far. It was also basically a goodbye to the "real" Eastenders.

I like this scene. It feels a little more "real" than most of the usual KC Janet cartooning, as does Livia's reaction - usually when defense lawyers are berated this way on a soap they just walk around like a robot and leave the room. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVPJaSddSLY
