  1. This is from a February 1975 TV Guide. Sadly the photo obscured Beverlee McKinsey, who is sitting with Doug Watsson. Even if you buy the issue you just see her hair and clothes, basically.
  2. Paulina, he's married! Tsk tsk. Wasn't expecting Jake to start getting his memory back. Great to see more of Cindy. Grant is still her weak spot. I hate when he's mean to her. You write them so well.
  3. 1997 episode. The second part is at the channel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUfnMXib17U
  4. Tons of Kate Mulgrew as Mary clips available here. http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCd3HjQC_glLasruR9IqDONg
  5. That's true. They may have been phasing her out by that time. That seems like a little of a grey period for the show.
  6. It's very old school. You don't even hear sounds when the zombies bite it (no pun intended). I guess this isn't by the people who did the games that got such acclaim.
  7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCDsb2TrPb4
  8. A look at the upcoming game centered on the Dixon brothers, with Michael Rooker and Norman Reedus being involved. The footage looks like something I played 15 years ago, but it's just a glimpse. http://www.comicsalliance.com/2013/01/02/the-walking-dead-survival-instinct-gameplay-footage-video/
  9. Thanks. I wonder if they lost any viewers when she left.
  10. Les Fiscal Miserables. (a commenter at Politico was outraged and thought these were actual Obama quotes) http://lesfiscalmiserables.tumblr.com/
  11. Many in the GOP hate the VAWA and see it as an assault against men. The story with this act is that men are unfairly persecuted and women just use it as a weapon. I doubt we will ever see this law again. I believe Peter King's outrage over Sandy, as he's always been a loose cannon. Christie's feels fake, as everything about him does. Most likely they will pass the relief bill in a month or two, and the media, along with most of the GOP, will blame Obama. And the people suffering and dying in the meanntime - who cares, they aren't in red states anyway.
  12. August 1990 Update
  13. What a bizarre article. I do think Hillary has misled in the past and at times it seriously ticked me off (mostly in 2008), but somehow spinning this into saying it was perfectly understandable for people to claim she invented a head injury is kind of disgusting. The Washington Post has some bottom of the barrel hack journalists; quite a few, actually. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/she-the-people/wp/2013/01/01/questioning-hillary-clintons-concussion-and-other-outrages/?tid=pm_politics_pop
  14. I think you're right. Well, never let it be said that 40 year old magazines don't teach us new things.
  15. Me, Natalie is on Youtube, if anyone wants to look for Susan in her unbilled cheerleader role. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eJdvhMKzw4 I don't know anything about that other movie (Daddy You Kill Me). The magazine says it was unreleased. I'm surprised it wasn't pushed out somewhere once Susan became famous in the 80s.
  16. A behind the scenes look at this mess. Just reading the start I'm reminded of how classless and powerless our speaker is. With media darling Eric Cantor puffing and posturing over the vote, I think Boehner's days as speaker are very numbered. If the role wasn't so poisoned he'd likely be long gone. http://www.politico.com/story/2013/01/the-fiscal-cliff-deal-that-almost-wasnt-85663.html?ml=po_r
  17. Helmut is her husband as well as a demonic feature of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I notice that Me, Natalie, and this role where she played a daughter of a prostitute are not in her IMDB credits. Have any of you seen these roles?
  18. Great twist with Reginald. I wasn't expecting that. You know how to twist stories. The makeup scene with Charlie/Frankie and the talk with Greg and Lindsay also had good dialogue and moments.
  19. Gloria Hoye was an actress on Love is a Many Splendored Thing, and later, Somerset. saynotoursoap has an episode of the former with her in it.
  20. Thanks so much for reading. I wish I could see it. I'm always a little surprised they got away with having a cult leader who looked so much like Charles Manson.
  21. In 1990, SOU asked Tracey Bregman what her biggest career regret was. She said that when Genie Francis left GH (in 1981), Gloria Monty asked her to take over - I'm not sure if she meant as Laura or as a lead female (probably the latter). She said she was doing a movie, and she also knew Genie and knew how she'd been worked too hard, so she declined. She said that while it worked out for her, career-wise, she wished she could go back and take the offer.
  22. While I can see that they were likely trying to make viewers hate Max in the 90s (as JDP said JFP told him, I believe), he was front to mid-burner for the entire decade. I would say his airtime didn't drop off until about a year before his exit.
  23. I had the same thought, although I wondered if it was the lighting, or maybe a vacation tan.
  24. I haven't either. I barely watch any of them now. I sort of feel like I'm in one of those stories where in the past I saw a great destruction and knew it would happen again in the future, powerless to stop it. That's what happened with the American soaps and now the British ones. The decline in quality has been staggering, for me.
