  4. She wears the cuffs well. I think she could have taken the makeup down a little bit.
  5. There was also the Shane cancer story. I wish I could just have those forgotten. Just wipe them from existence.
  6. Laurie Holden interview (poor Laurie - she knew that hate was coming). http://www.tvguide.com/News/Walking-Dead-Laurie-Holden-Spoilers-1061473.aspx Kirkman talks about current and upcoming story. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/walking-dead-spoilers-andrea-kill-governor-423816 http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/02/24/walking-dead-robert-kirkman-12/
  7. I see Merle and Daryl having a showdown and Merle leaving in some dramatic fashion, possibly to return working with the Govrnor. Or in some other capacity. I don't think he'll ever be able to be in their group (probably wouldn't want to either). I do like seeing him try to adjust, because I find this more believable than the beginning where he was this hardcore bigot, beating on people. I guess Daryl calmed him down a little back at camp but it's tough for me to imagine him in day to day life with that group. I think Shane would have shot him in the head.
  8. Disney took over in 1996, yes. Early or spring 1996 I think. AMC was where their hand was first seen because Noah and Julia had a very Disney wedding, complete with Grace (RIP Lynne Thigpen...) as the fairy godmother. So the real problems Cobb would have had would have started not long before Disney. I think the problem was that AMC began to see Noah as too big a character for certain stories. McTavish gave Noah relatively - I won't say "gritty" because I hate that word in how it's used for daytime - tough stories. As soon as she left, you saw more and more stuff like Noah the supermodel, which was a little silly, because overnight he was this huge press sensation, with the press all but knocking down Julia's door, obsessing over her life and past, all because of Noah. It was just too much. They clearly had no idea how to write for Noah as a traditional leading man.
  9. It's all a little vague for me at the moment because there are so many nebulous forces in the group. Michonne still isn't close to anyone, and I doubt Merle ever will be aside from Daryl, Daryl is torn, so that leaves Maggie/Rick/Hershel/Beth/Carol/Glenn/Carl, and I'm not sure where Glenn is going to be mentally. The main core group is full of cannon fodder (I'm always half-expecting Hershel, Beth, and Carol to die, every episode), so I end up wondering if they're going to try to build them all up a little more. Andrea would be an outsider if she returns. I don't think Tyreese would be, I think he'd have fit in perfectly if Rick had been sane, but now he might be seen as being with the Governor. I kind of wish they were bringing one or two Woodbury people in, although the Woodbury people seem to be dumb assholes. I miss the dynamic they had at the start of the season where everyone was tight and close.
  10. I guess Tyreese may have just been happy to have shelter and food, since they'd been on the run for ages, then Rick went nuts. You could tell Allen and Ben were going to be shady, but I do wonder about whether they should make other characters a little more sympathetic, as the group seems to be fairly thin at the moment, even if Tyreese and Sasha return to the prison. I know Milton is probably going to die, but I wouldn't mind seeing Andrea take him to the prison with her - I like the actor, and the character is someone that would bounce off different people in different ways (I can imagine Carol patiently dealing with his babbling, while some of the others would tell him to just shut up and learn to shoot). He's always been sheltered from the worst so that would be a big culture shock.
  11. I wonder if this is the reason for Ben and Allen, who have no real role thus far. Are they going to stay in Woodbury even if Tyreese and Sasha leave? Will they secretly work for the Governor and infiltrate the prison?
  12. I'd almost forgotten she even had relationships with any of them.

  14. She had a few funny moments but mostly it was drama/yelling/hoarse crying. I wasn't a fan.
  15. At this time they regretted not having more crossovers in PC's first few years (I think most of them stopped after early '98), so they were trying to make up for it. PC had the slowest credit updates ever - Audrey was in there for years even though she only appeared in the pilot. Scott was in there several years after he left.
  16. Thanks. I agree with much of his view. I actually think there were a number of relevant stories AMC could have given him, but I guess he was seen as too valuable a property for those, so instead he got the more typical leading man stories, which were by and large terrible. His ego probably played a part as well, but he's not wrong about his material.
  17. The main issue i had with these episodes, then and now, is all the time spent with Lucy yelling and crying. I don't think that ever suited the character.
  18. You're right, it does have that German soap flavor. Very strongly. I think the casting of some key roles was just a little too off. I still wonder what that Azure might have been.
  19. More plausible than Trevor/Janet
  20. No, not a fling, just that, I think there was a story there to develop feelings (I could easily see Trevor slowly falling for Michael). It never happened, obviously, but that's just the vibe I got off of the relationship at that time.
  21. I remember that Welcome Home slogan (not the song). I guess it did suit CBS more, although most of the programs still sucked (I forgot Scott Bakula even had a show with CBS at this time). Sometimes I forget just how long Murphy Brown hung on and on and on and on. Other than a few episodes here and there, I stopped watching not long after she gave birth.
  22. Thanks. I thought there was another version that was guitar heavy, which I wasn't a big fan of.
  23. It's weird how, when I watch these again, my opinions are about the same as they were at the time - I still think Noah is a self-righteous bore who had one crap story after another. Still think Maria is a crybaby bore. Still like Trevor (when he's not shouting). Still can't quite shake the feeling - completely unimplied by the writing, but there you go - that Michael and Trevor had some sort of unspoken...thing at this time. Still like Kelsey no matter what. Still pissed off about the arm-grabbing and threats against women that permeated this era, with the constant implication that the women deserved it. Tad is like everyone's least favorite bitchy gay uncle. Bleh.
  24. This was an annoying period of AMC for me but I enjoyed the scenes with Michael and Dr. Brad, short as they were (I think that was Dr. Brad). I think Eric will too, when he's around again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npUXB2r43lY
  25. He did a whole lot worse than that. I just wish I could erase all those stories.
