  1. Damn it, she's being hilarious on Idol and I'm starting to like the hot mess all over again.
  2. I'll miss Mercy. So with her and Darren gone, that leaves Jay, Ben, Abi, Lauren, Jodie, Tamwar, Afia, and Fatboy as the teen/youth set? That's awkward as hell.
  3. Am I the only one who finds dubstep absolutely hilarious? WUUUB WAPWAPWAPWAP WUUUUB WAPWAPWAPWAPWAPWAPWAP WUUUUB WAPWAPWAPWAP. I can't stop laughing
  4. LOL! McTavish can use some of those Purgatory stories on DAYS should she ever get a job there (now I have to hide from angry DAYS fans). For some reason, New England is one of the first places I think of when I think stereotypical soap location even though there haven't been a whole lot set there. I think there are probably some short-lived 50s soaps that were New England-based.
  5. Isn't DAYS set in New England? Passions and Return to Peyton Place definitely were.
  6. That's Maria? I thought that was one of Cord's lovers that I knew nothing about. Yikes.
  7. I was going to say that! Gerald's making a funny face in that picture, but that's how David Gregory's lips look all the time
  8. I'm not even gonna lie, he looks a little bit like Ford in that picture I took a little break from my HamiltonBernique'ing, but once I start back up, I have a few OLTL episodes to watch, and I think he's in a few of them. He's one of those characters that was a huge part of the show at that time that I've never really seen a lot of. I still haven't watched that 1978-1979 stuff with Viki, Tina, and the others.
  9. http://www.paleycenter.org/collection/item/?q=from+these+roots&f=all&c=all&advanced=1&p=1&item=B:02159 Looks like the Paley Center has an episode. Honestly, I would plan a trip to NYC just to visit that place, just to watch their soap stuff. I'm that much of a geek. They have (relatively) tons of episodes of ATWT from 1965-1968.
  10. Gerald Anthony always looks like he was a laugh and a half. Gone way too soon.
  11. Yeah, AMD/GH, we just like funnin' with you lol You like that screechy shrew with the ugly hair until you're blue in the face. I hates the sin, not the sinner. I defended Krystal and Babe all through the baby switch, so I know the feeling.
  12. I wish the show had brought back Carl somewhere along the way. The idea of Jake and Jesse being good friends is odd to be because of the age differences that they try to gloss over. If Carl was around, Jake would have his age-appropriate friend that he actually did grow up playing with.
  13. Aw, that seems like such a nice gathering of folks. So that's John E. Dunn. I don't think I've ever seen as much as a picture or clip of him. I wonder if he thought he'd be back at AMC as Tad.
  14. I *really* want to see some of those early 60s soaps. It seems like a lot of them were ambitious in trying to bring primetime-ish qualities (like the taped anthology shows from the 50s) to daytime. It's so unfortunate that so little of this stuff is still around because it would be great evidence of how wide the spectrum of what's considered good soap opera can be.
  15. The part that always gets me in the finale montage is where they show the boat going out to sea. That just messes me up. I'm so excited to start Roswell. I watched the first five or six episodes like a year ago, but I fell out of step with it. The last time I'd watched it before then I was like 10, so yeah, I need to get back into it.
  16. Oh my...what if they kill Darren off and make it all about Heather being without a baby daddy?
  17. I'm not sad to see Vanessa go, but I'll miss Darren. What's going to happen with Jodie?
  18. Cheap, them pictures are GREAT. Every single one of them. Erica needs her brother, AMC
  19. Thanks, Eric I'm not even gonna lie...Zarf was a gorgeous woman.
  20. It'd be weird if AMC used some of its early 80s underscores. They used background music differently then...usually just to open and close certain scenes and acts, and sometimes to enhance scenes, but not always. I can't imagine an episode opening with some whimsical music playing over a slow zoom-in on Kendall's house, fading into a shot of Ricky holding her at knife point.
  21. Watching the S1 finale.... Jen and Grams crying in church...tears all around. And damn, Joey walking in on Jen and Dawson was a great scene. That could have been the cliffhanger right there. Not enough Pacey "Say Goodnight, Not Goodbye" starts up and I'm automatically a puddle of tears even though it's Dawson and Joey. Well, I guess I'm off to Roswell for now. Back to Capeside once I done with the aliens.
  22. Fever and headache had me confined to my bed yesterday, but I was feeling crafty and made this for fun:
  23. Evelyn Champagne King
  24. Roylance
  25. Drown All My Children or a food program?
