  1. YES, the ratings keep going up, up, up. I think this ep might have went down just a shade in Total Viewers from last week, but that's perfectly fine. I think they'll more than make up for that as we move along. It's getting more buzz. I know I've been selling the hell out of it to all my friends and classmates for weeks now. I think it's pretty much established that Nolan is bi. A 3 on the Kinsey scale is perfectly bisexual, and he didn't seem at all turned off by having to "do...that" to get one over on Tyler. He was totally into it.
  2. So wait, did Lydia wake up at the end? I turned away for like two minutes, and I missed that?! This episode is going to be watched a million times within the next two weeks.
  3. LOL it's just delicious how so many people on this show are secretly plotting against everyone else. You have Emily working with her associate Nolan. Victoria running sh!t with Conrad (and Frank, if he's still alive). Now we have Ashley in cahoots with Tyler. And of course, Lydia's still a wild card. The fall out is going to be epic, particularly for Daniel. Everyone he loves and cares about is keeping secrets from him, except for his sister. And of course, realEmily might be on to her own scheme, and who knows if Conrad's gonna grow some balls and turn against Victoria. TWO WEEKS?! Damn.
  4. OMG and then realEmily comes into the mix. This show is just too much. I can't deal. Two weeks wait?! Emily/Daniel are my OTP for this show. Just flawless. I hope they don't make Daniel shady. When the sh!t hits the fan, I want him to be disgusted by his family and then I want him to forgive Emily, and then they shall live happily ever after. Jack can screw the pooch. realEmily takes out Frank, then she crawls over to the center of action. Can't wait to see how she mixes it up with our Hamptonites! at her trying to be all rough with Emily in the institution and then Emily kicks her ass! Nolan plucking Tyler to get it on tape! GAH! That's the type of thing where you say, "Haha, they'd never go there," but they DID! And I love love love that they made it clear that Nolan enjoyed it. Declan/Charlotte are still blah to me, but they were better tonight than usual. Her gushing about how awesome he is, though...yeah, whatever. LYDIA! Wake the hell up and come back to the Hamptons to stir more pots, please! And even Ashley was showing a little fire there at the end with Tyler! Don't be scared to show your claws, girl! This show is like an inch away from being an embarrassment of bitches, and I'm loving every second of it. Poor Victoria Can't believe the show has me feeling sorry for her, but I am. You can tell she's starting to regret just about everything she's done in the last 20 years. The shot of her watching from the balcony as Conrad left...so sad, and so soapy. Perfection. Again. TWO WEEKS? Why??
  5. OMFG TYLER AND NOLAN?!?!?!?! This show is f!cking incredible and bold and amazing, and I love it.
  6. YES!!! I immediately thought of Taylor when Tyler hit himself. I had to pause it and just grin for a while because that [!@#$%^&*] was fantastic. This entire show is incredible. Emily and Victoria are clearly the HBICs, but Lydia could have completed the triumvirate. With her out of commission, though, Tyler better be eying that spot.
  7. The Bonkers thing is hilarious! "Bonkers admits that as long as Daisy's apartment is clad with fresh ferns..." I just can't with that
  8. Yeah, the video is awesome, but I was ready to tear some sh!t up when that dude slapped her!
  9. So heartbreaking I'm glad she was able to stay on the show up until the end and was still having fun doing it. To me, it just doesn't get better than Annie, Bet, Betty, and Hilda working in the Rovers! When was the last time she appeared?
  10. Decided to bump this up since I just read that today happens to be the tenth anniversary of our favorite little Canadian high school sudser (sorry, Edgemont!). Some of my favorite moments... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8bNq5cT7i4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsHkrIm7P0o
  11. Patricia Breslin, who played Laura, died http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/redskins/patricia-modell-actress-and-wife-of-art-modell-dies/2011/10/12/gIQAFW6ifL_story.html
  12. Fantastic news! I wish they would have canceled this show. Emily would have had to blow some sh!t up at ABC.
  13. That was AMAZING. I love how nonchalant she is about just ruining people's lives. It's incredible. I wonder what the deal is with Daniel's roommate. At the senator's party, he pulled Daniel aside and said "We have to talk" or something like that, but we never saw the conversation. Of course, I'm secretly hoping that they went and had some hot Harvard sex. Are we supposed to like Declan or hate him? He yells too much, and he seems very whiny rich boy-ish considering he's poor. It was sweet that he didn't send the video, and also smart. I'm still confused as to why Adam would have the webcam on 24/7... Nolan is awesome, and I love how he just goes with whatever flow Emily sets up. He thinks she's batshit crazy, but he's totally game for whatever she wants him to do.
  14. I still cringe whenever DH is nominated in the comedy categories at awards shows. Like WTF? Really? REALLY? Damn. They sold it as something other than what it became.
  15. Honestly, to me, the only difference between David Canary now and David Canary on Bonanza is the hair color. I'm sure if I'd ever see him in person, it'd be different, but on screen, he really does look exactly the same.
  16. YES. YES. Exactly. I've been watching via On Demand, and that's my main draw, right there. Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters, Dirty Sexy Money, even Grey's and Private Practice...no matter how dramatic they try to be, they ALWAYS have the quirky background music and random humor thrown in that stops me from calling them soaps (though I don't really think that's what they're trying for, but it's what people call them anyway). This show owns the hell out of its soapiness, and that's great.
  17. The Pine Valley Bulletin says he was born in 1986...so yeah, that's some pretty epic SORASing.
  18. To be honest, the whole 1985-1995ish time period is sketchy for me, which is weird. When I first got into the show, I read in-depth yearly summaries for all of the 70s (on SOC), so that's why I know so much about that period, and then the early 80s is a heavily-talked about period of the show, so I sort of picked up knowledge of it over the years (and now I've seen a ton of eps from then, so that helps). Thanks to most of you old people here, I have lots of secondhand knowledge of 90s stuff, but for whatever reason, it's like the late 80s never get talked about. I know so little about characters like Nico, Julie, Emily Ann, and even Jeremy and Natalie in their heyday. That one episode with Cliff in a jungle somewhere was a huge turn-off, but I know I need to complete my Pine Valley studies sooner or later
  19. Late 80s AMC might as well be an entirely different show for me. I don't think I've ever spent any time watching clips or even reading about storylines from that era at all.
  20. Paul was running for office, and his opponents wired his car to explode. Ann decided to use his car to run some errands, and well...you can guess what happened. Basically, Ann is to Paul's car as Jenny is to Greg's jetski.
  21. Steven's stories do see damaging/depressing, the worst for me being trying to murder Pat. With her gone by the end of the year and Ian not wanting anything to do with him, he'll probably never show up again, which sucks. The Beale family essentially consists of Ian and Jane. Ridiculous.
  22. So, what's the verdict on the Ben story? Let me be shallow and say that gay!boxer can do better. Where's Steven Beale when you need him?
  23. OMG I'm done at the hip hop guys in the audience gleefully clapping for Julia Barr. Damn 90s.
