  1. No comment on the final season premiere? LOL Remember when this show was allowed to be on all season and brought in big numbers every time it came back from hiatus?
  2. I appreciate all these promos, Carl!! I'm still waiting for a DVD release, but I'm starting to lose hope
  3. Damn, girl! But I totally agree. The disco ep was great, and a funk ep would cover another side of the same era. I'm still holding out for Betty Wright, though.
  4. I can't with this sad has-been ass queen trying to start these AARP-endorsed reads.
  5. Maybe the Nostalgia Channel? Eventually turned into the Goodlife TV Network, and then later I believe the AmericanLife TV Network. I think they're FamilyNet now or something or other. That channel had some good stuff on it when we had it, lots of random short-lived series like The New Dick Van Dyke Show, Down to Earth, One Big Family (Danny Thomas's 80s sitcom), Apple's Way, The Jimmy Stewart Show, The Courtship of Eddie's Father, then later they had Flamingo Road and Homefront.
  6. I personally don't give dos cacas about Bill Cosby's money, and fortunately, what you think has nothing to do with me lol if I lived a millionaire's lifestyle, then maybe I'd be jealous of a millionaire's money, but that's not the case, toots, so plant ya ass in a seat. Or better yet, find a sleeping bag and take a goddamn nap.
  7. I'm glad you replied, because I wouldn't be as nice. There's so much I could do since we're talking about sh!tty drawers, but I'm just gonna leave it right there.
  8. They probably will. They started on Antenna, bounced to Me, and now they're on Cozi. A lot of these shows seem to make the rounds a lot. Leave it to Beaver was on Retro, then Antenna, then Me, now it's on Antenna again. In a perfect world, Antenna would be the go-to place for 60s-80s and Me would be for 50s-70s, with a little overlap but not too much.
  9. It's cool to hate Rita??? She's one of my all-time favorite characters! I'd love a link to the special as well. Barbara Knox is really an underrated legend of the UK soap scene, IMO.
  10. Oh, my baby Agnes! I accept that she may have been feeling particularly rough during that interview and that she's been well on the mend since. I'm still so inspired by her passion for storytelling.
  11. Damn 90s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-qDXRdoCH0
  12. Why do I sometimes see December 20 as KL's anniversary, but then other places say December 27? I always thought it was the 27th because episode lists always put the Pilot as airing on the 27th. Those YouTube episodes probably won't last. The same episodes were uploaded a few months ago and removed shortly afterward. I'm just glad to see that stunning opening sequence to the season 4 premiere again.
  13. Still pushing my way through whenever I get a chance to watch. The Ruth stuff is probably my favorite storyline as of now, and there was an episode that began with a tight close-up of her as she attempts to pour a drink then walks across her living room, the theme music swelling and the title card appearing over her face. AMAZING intro. Mel Brandt almost announces the show's title and tagline in a whisper as so not to disturb the scene. Great stuff. Nathan Bunker...idk. I hate him, but he's so bold in his !@#$%^&*] ways, it's almost funny. Pollimeriwevuh and the Little Boy Doctor are making me sad Karen is still such a desperate, disgusting shrew. Her obsession with Matt is so bizarre and tiresome.
  14. I can't with some of the crazy, ignorant ass sh!t going on in this thread. I am truly sick and tired of people who have the nerve to even THINK they know how other people should respond to issues in their lives. SIT THE !@#$%^&*] DOWN.
  15. Run for Your Life is one of those "man-on-the-run" type shows, similar to The Fugitive and Route 66. On Run, the guy only has a short time to live, so he travels the US, meeting different people in different places and getting involved in different situations. Our Bounce affiliate used to air Gimme a Break! and they've been airing The Jeffersons and The Cosby Show but I don't know if they still do. They sometimes do classic Soul Train episodes, but they filter them through that hideous filmizing process. All this talk of classic TV networks makes me want to lay across my bed and plot a "dream schedule" like I used to do when I was 12.
  16. They had me up until three straight hours of Fantasy Island. It's a show I love, but 3 hours? When you then have a rotating block of five different series (meaning FOUR hours of Magnum on Thursdays?)? Run For Your Life is one I've always wanted to see.
  17. That is SO not enough change for me! I love that these channels are relatively stable with scheduling, and I get that they had a big shake-up for the fall, but the Comedy Conundrum block needed to either be overhauled or gotten rid of period. I can't believe there's absolutely no change in primetime. I figured Carol would be leading it off. The few changes they made make little sense, like getting rid of Dragnet and Adam-12 even though they are both constantly promo'd. Instead of double-exposing shows that are already in visible time slots (Superman, Love Boat, Gilligan's Island), how about trying Route 66 during the week or That Girl in primetime again?
  18. Yeah, I used to watch the USA reruns before school each morning. TV Land later picked it up. They've also announced Quincy ME and the return of Mod Squad today.
  19. Carol Burnett is joining the lineup next year! I hope it's the full hourlong shows!
  20. MeTV isn't commercial-free, but that's par for the course. The only truly annoying thing they do as a network is they do employ the "speed-up" technique of cutting runtimes without editing anything out. But yeah, I've been obsessed with both networks since I first got them, and I watch them basically on a daily basis. My job requires me to sit in front of a laptop for hours at a time (after actually leaving "work," mind you), so I might as well have Me and Antenna on as I work. Right now, there's a great mix of shows I used to watch as a kid on Nick-at-Nite and TV Land along with stuff that wasn't as visible then that I'm glad to get to see regularly now. There's also a good bit of shows that I've ALWAYS ignored for at least 10-15 years that I've finally given in and tried that I've really, really liked, like Gunsmoke and Andy Griffith. Maybe it's because I'm older, I don't know Definitely looking forward to Antenna's new stuff in 2015, and I'm hoping ME has some announcements for the new year. I want one of them to give one of the 80s primetime soaps a try.
  21. When I saw this thread bumped up, I got really excited thinking we were finally getting DVDs!
  22. I watched the Dobie/Family Affair night, and I really enjoyed both eps. The Family Affair episode was DEPRESSING. Eve Plumb as a terminally ill classmate of Buffy's who thinks she'll live to see Christmas, so Uncle Bill arranges for everyone to have a Christmas party at the girl's house. There was no miracle cure or last-minute recovery. It's understood that she freaking died after the episode was over, and I assume she was never mentioned again. And can we talk about how tired/bored Brian Keith always seemed to be on this show? I mean, it kinda worked for the character, but at the same time, knowing his fate, it's very awkward to watch at times.
  23. Yesssssss.
  24. Tomorrow night is Dobie Gillis and Family Affair, and I'm more excited than I thought I'd be! This feeling takes me back to the old days when N@N and TVLand used to constantly have me looking forward to something. Dobie, especially, is a show I've always wanted to see more of. Someone marathoned it at one point a few years ago, and I really enjoyed it. It doesn't get good timeslots, though
  25. It depresses me to know that Little Boy Doctor is going to be away for so long
