With less soaps there’s less opportunity for soap actors because not everybody can crossover to primetime and film. Like you said, they can’t continue making a living with no acting gigs, hence why so many develop different ways to make money.

In the case of Alec Musser and many other former soap stars, perhaps he works in another industry. Just because they don’t post about it doesn’t mean they aren’t working. Hell, Judi Evans sells funeral plots between soap stints. I’m sure more than we know have a side hustle.

With RHOP, since we now see video of Michael cheating on Ashley, do y’all think she will stay with him? I feel like she will considering this was filmed last year and they’re still together. I just don’t understand how she is going to justify it now. Do they have an open relationship? It’s so embarrassing to go through this every season.

Loren Lott’s latest Tik Tok has more views than Y&R. She is regularly going viral on social media. That is a dream for any tv or film production. They actually pay people more if they have strong social media followings. This is yet another example of how embarrassing the racism in soaps is. Y&R never tried with her and she was so charismatic.

Andy has been tweeting about Salt Lake City all day and we had word the trailer was out today but nothing yet! I was looking forward to it after the RHOC announcement. On that subject, I feel it doesn’t work not because Vicki and Tamra are gone, but you have too many disposable wives to make up for their exit. Emily and Gina on a third season is insane. I feel like Shannon and Kelly will have to carry the season and Kelly certainly isn’t likable anymore. Now onto the RHOBH reunion, it was beautifully produced and it was interesting. The lack of Teddi helped it, of course until the Denise stuff. The Garcelle/Kyle feud has LEGS! How is Kyle going to wait 7 months to let Garcelle know she didn’t pay? How is that fair to the charity? She kept that in her back pocket to weaponize it. That could’ve been easily resolved, as it has been now. I found that very suspect. Garcelle has never said she hates Kyle and has been open TO HER FACE about her issues so they can get better. Garcelle has also been nice to her on social media while Kyle has always been negative. Going back to the Denise stuff, it’s all blown out of proportion. I get Denise isn’t great as explaining herself, but Erika was ridiculous. THEY kept bringing the kids and threesome up! She discussed it each time and they never stopped! What more are we supposed to expect from her? I honestly don’t get it. Don’t blame Denise because the fans hate y’all. Look at your own actions.

Looks like we’ll get an announcement, cast photo and trailer this Thursday.... I’ll admit to being very excited for this. I love that even prior to the BLM protests that they planned a diverse show in a surprising city. I always love when they launch a new city and I feel this will be surprisingly good.

Speaking of Chadwick, this speech he did about his time on All My Children was so disappointing. I always say, what we know of racism in soaps is bad, but what we don’t know was really concerns me. The more we hear of these stories, the more widespread it’s revealed to be. The one positive is that like he said, he was able to open their eyes to at least retool they role when he was replaced.

Another cut scene that should’ve been in the episode... For the most part I notice the cut scenes are extended versions of scenes we did see that add more context. There is so much filler they could’ve been cut to develop the relationships of the actual housewives.

I thought Quad would never leave so this is a good thing for me. I know many had issues with Mariah, but it was Quad who I felt needed to go YEARS ago! I also hope my girl Kari has an actual role. Maybe not full time, but heavily recurring. I still find their first season to be perfection and I don’t think they should’ve eliminated anybody. Kari is more interesting to me than Lisa Nicole or Contessa. I will say this Quad news has me excited. I was so sad when I saw Mariah was gone but now I do not give a damn! Honestly, I get why people want Ramona gone, but she is such a perfect HW I understand why they keep her. I personally don’t mind her or how she treats people. From a tv standpoint she works. Especially if Jill returns Id want Ramona to be around. Now as for Beverly Hills, that was watchable but a mess. So much was cut from the season and it was edited to be centered around Denise. Based on the Rome episode and this one, you can tell that producer Chris didn’t like Denise and was biased against her. How did Kyle know she had filmed with Camille? Why was he trying to get Garcelle to talk [!@#$%^&*] about her on camera? Also, why is it a big deal that she missed two events? The season was predicated on her “stopping filming” in December, but what they leave out is that they ALL stopped filming in December. They did a pick up in January of the girls going to see Erika because that’s when she debuted and it was to tie up her story. In the end we see she really didn’t impact filming, she simply refused to be around Brandi which is understandable. If you go back, Kyle and Rinna (and Garcelle) all missed events. Never have they been required to appear at every event. You could tell by the Rinna/Sutton/Garcelle scene that Rinna was realizing the fans likely wouldn’t be on their side and that’s where the upset came from. I’m not sure if Denise will be invited back, but she should be. Despite leaving early and missing some events, she CARRIED this season. There is no reason she had to be the focal point of everything to “earn” her diamond. Erika and Teddi were FRIENDS. If you wanna talk, let’s talk about why they still have jobs. Let’s talk about why the first 3 months of filming was condensed to 3 episodes. Let’s talk about why there were 16 episodes when New York filmed less and had 21. This ensemble needs WORK. Garcelle and Sutton were wonderful additions, but they need to get rid of the dead weight (Teddi, Erika) and give it another refresh so the show can have more than one damn storyline. Honestly I’d fire Rinna as well. Teddi/Kyle/Rinna have too much power with producers and it’s become obvious they’re controlling the narrative. That needs to stop.

I’m a big Carole fan, but those tweets are a bit dramatic lol. Dorinda was very real though, I’ll give her that. Insiders still say 1 more person is out. I feel like it must be Sonja.

I’m still stunned about Dorinda. It’s not that I disagree about the show being groundhogs day or that she’s been a total [!@#$%^&*], but even with a reboot looming I didn’t think they’d get rid of Dorinda. This gives me hope for Beverly Hills. The are in dire need of Erika, Teddi and Rinna leaving. Who knows? Maybe it will happen. IF they’re willing to lose the Berkshires and Dorinda, maybe BH will let some of their dead weight go.

I believe they got a multi year renewal. I hadn’t heard they were in danger. I expected changes, but I thought for sure Dorinda was safe! I expected Ramona and Sonja out. Insiders say to expect more similar announcements soon.

Why are they trying to make Garcelle look bad? This whole “body shaming” thing with Rinna’s daughter is BS. This scene should’ve been included for full context. By not showing this they allowed Rinna to run with the narrative of Garcelle shaming her as a mom. This is outrageous to me!

With all the episodes that have popped up, I’m amazed we still haven’t seen when Judith Chapman played Jill. Unless I’m fantasizing, but I could’ve sworn she said she was a temp Jill in the 90s.

I’ve been watching LA Law on Amazon Prime and Renee Jones has a recurring role as a law clerk and love interest for Blair Underwood’s character. This would’ve been 89-90 I believe. She’s great in the show! I’m honestly surprised they didn’t put her on full time because as the episodes continue they keep developing her more and more. I don’t see how she will leave at this point. Of course it’s good she did because we got her on DAYS as Lexie!

So Candiace is all over the news. Here she is trying to address the backlash from her homophobic tweets! I have to say, as someone who loved Monique, I expected the reaction to be more mixed with this fight. So far everybody seems Pro Monique and now with these homophobic tweets, Cadiance ain’t having a good season at all. She gonna have to slow down with all her [!@#$%^&*] talking on Twitter. I can’t wait til she’s on WWHL!

I’ve finally gotten a handle on this app, which I still think is awful. I have a fire stick and the app isn’t available so I either have to watch on my phone or tablet or cast it. I prefer to watch on my tv, but if you cast there is a time delay so the lips don’t match. It’s been so long they need to have this fixed by now! Storywise I’ve binged about 6 months and I’m in December 1971. The second half of the year has definitely picked up the pace. The only thing I don’t like is the heavy reliance on flashbacks which we never had before. I’m enjoying most of the stories and looking forward to the Dan story ending and seeing what they have in store for 1972. Very curious how things will go with John who just got a phone call from a woman he cheated on Althea with. I also am enjoying the flirtation with Nick and Cathy. I’m disappointed i know the role will be recast again. Hopefully the last Cathy is good and gives the story a good resolution. Im going to try and keep my binge going. I want to get to some of the stuff y’all are talking about. It seems like y’all are watching a completely different show! I’m curious for these changes and new cast members. I especially wanna see Penny return!

He’s been more bold in these at home episodes and he makes it very obvious who he likes and doesn’t like. Both times Sutton was on her gushed so much about her and both times made sure to mention she was only a Friend due to issues with her ex and he even asked advice from Garcelle on how to get her ex on board for next season. They usually don’t admit when people are coming back. Similarly when Ramona was on a couple weeks ago he ate her up lol. I think Ramona could be in some danger. Kyle will be safe because she’s the last OG, but Teddi I think is going to be on her way out.

Personally I think Teddi is lying about the attacks. Every thing she posts on twitter gets ratioed and she knows that and purposely posts things to get a response. I’m sure some people said bad things (every celeb gets that), but I highly doubt everybody was talking about her family. I think she’s using it for sympathy and to maintain her diamond. Teddi and Kyle were on WWHL and Andy let both of them have it. He called Kyle out on her previous comments about Brandi being a liar, called Teddi out on her lies last season, accused them of being bi-phobic. It was a bad night and you could tell Andy wasn’t feeling them. Contrast that with the love fest for Garcelle and Sutton the previous week and him tweeting how their episode was the highest rated in 3 years. I think Kyle and Teddi are simply doing damage control because they aren’t well liked right now. I’m really curious how a season 11 will look if Denise, Garcelle and Sutton return as fan faves. Will Kyle and others play nice?

I wanna say Brenda only appeared in two episodes and she was the only Jill we saw other than Jess. I was surprised how many episodes they found from the 80s that just so happened to omit Jill. My favorites were the 1981 episode, the second episode and in general the heavy focus on the Barber-Winters family throughout the episodes. I also loved seeing them highlight Christine and Phyllis’ feud via the honeymoon and also the scenes with Phyllis/Cricket in the 2003 episode where Danny returned and Victor visited his dad. That was a powerful episode in general, but these episodes highlighted what a valuable character Cricket is and how much the show needs her in a leading role. Nobody has chemistry with Michelle Stafford like Lauralee Bell. They should be treated like the super couple they are, always in each other’s orbits like a Kay/Jill or Dorian/Viki.
