I feel like Luann and Sonja have learned their lessons and will probably accept anything they are offered because it’s such an important stream of income for them. I also feel like Cynthia has remained on RHOA so long because she similarly just takes what is offered and doesn’t make demands.

Okay I’m glad yall see what I see. I didn’t wanna feel crazy lol. I mean she did good, but hardly the type of breakout star I can see them giving a huge raise.

What do y’all think? Personally, I feel the season was very mediocre. I do think Leah was overhyped and that people mostly liked her because she was younger and New York needs younger voices with the cast being mostly 55+. Now when it comes to a raise, I’m curious what she wants. I could see doubling her salary being fair or maybe going to $150,000, but that’s it. If they have to lose her I don’t think it would be the end of the world.

Well that would also be dependent on if there is even space to have ample enough outdoor seating with social distancing.

@DaytimeFan I believe that stuff as well. It’s no fault of her own, but those restaurants have been shut down for a long time with no return in sight. I do wonder if they couldn’t have opened them for takeaway and delivery? Is that not allowed in LA? I notice with Vanderpump Rules that the cast keeps mentioning *if* the show will even return. Like you, I hope she has her personal finances in order.

The John scene they showed was from last season, not the current one, but was also featured in the trailer last year if I’m remembering correctly. Andy confirms Denise quit and wasn’t fired and that they tried hard to keep her. I love this for Denise. The money she would’ve gotten would’ve been great but she put her family above the show. She gets major props from me for that!

This sounds like she got a pick up letter. I’m not doing another season of this mess with Erika, Kyle, Rinna and Teddi running things. I had to let OC go last season and I don’t mind letting BH go if this is what they’re bringing. If the cast stands then next season is going to be focused on taking down Garcelle and I don’t find that warranted or interesting. Dorit and Kyle just went on vacation together. Dorit ain’t about to let them plan the storyline around her while she allegedly out there laundering money. Teddi said they film in a month or so which means they’re planning the storyline right now. Maurico’s firm selling Dorit’s house and going on a trip with Kyle is 100% strategic.

Yeah the Denise announcement killed any reunion momentum for me. I’ll wait to watch it another time. She carried the season and you had people like Erika, Teddi and Rinna with no storyline. This worries me for next year. I also wonder if Garcelle will return since she said she wouldn’t without Denise.

But that’s just is, I don’t think they are truly in the industry. Martha Madison is another who is a bartender and moved to Texas. She’s only back on Days more full time bc so many people quit. With less soaps there’s less opportunity for soap actors because not everybody can crossover to primetime and film. Like you said, they can’t continue making a living with no acting gigs, hence why so many develop different ways to make money.

In the case of Alec Musser and many other former soap stars, perhaps he works in another industry. Just because they don’t post about it doesn’t mean they aren’t working. Hell, Judi Evans sells funeral plots between soap stints. I’m sure more than we know have a side hustle.

With RHOP, since we now see video of Michael cheating on Ashley, do y’all think she will stay with him? I feel like she will considering this was filmed last year and they’re still together. I just don’t understand how she is going to justify it now. Do they have an open relationship? It’s so embarrassing to go through this every season.

Loren Lott’s latest Tik Tok has more views than Y&R. She is regularly going viral on social media. That is a dream for any tv or film production. They actually pay people more if they have strong social media followings. This is yet another example of how embarrassing the racism in soaps is. Y&R never tried with her and she was so charismatic.

Andy has been tweeting about Salt Lake City all day and we had word the trailer was out today but nothing yet! I was looking forward to it after the RHOC announcement. On that subject, I feel it doesn’t work not because Vicki and Tamra are gone, but you have too many disposable wives to make up for their exit. Emily and Gina on a third season is insane. I feel like Shannon and Kelly will have to carry the season and Kelly certainly isn’t likable anymore. Now onto the RHOBH reunion, it was beautifully produced and it was interesting. The lack of Teddi helped it, of course until the Denise stuff. The Garcelle/Kyle feud has LEGS! How is Kyle going to wait 7 months to let Garcelle know she didn’t pay? How is that fair to the charity? She kept that in her back pocket to weaponize it. That could’ve been easily resolved, as it has been now. I found that very suspect. Garcelle has never said she hates Kyle and has been open TO HER FACE about her issues so they can get better. Garcelle has also been nice to her on social media while Kyle has always been negative. Going back to the Denise stuff, it’s all blown out of proportion. I get Denise isn’t great as explaining herself, but Erika was ridiculous. THEY kept bringing the kids and threesome up! She discussed it each time and they never stopped! What more are we supposed to expect from her? I honestly don’t get it. Don’t blame Denise because the fans hate y’all. Look at your own actions.

Looks like we’ll get an announcement, cast photo and trailer this Thursday.... I’ll admit to being very excited for this. I love that even prior to the BLM protests that they planned a diverse show in a surprising city. I always love when they launch a new city and I feel this will be surprisingly good.

Speaking of Chadwick, this speech he did about his time on All My Children was so disappointing. I always say, what we know of racism in soaps is bad, but what we don’t know was really concerns me. The more we hear of these stories, the more widespread it’s revealed to be. The one positive is that like he said, he was able to open their eyes to at least retool they role when he was replaced.

Another cut scene that should’ve been in the episode... For the most part I notice the cut scenes are extended versions of scenes we did see that add more context. There is so much filler they could’ve been cut to develop the relationships of the actual housewives.

I thought Quad would never leave so this is a good thing for me. I know many had issues with Mariah, but it was Quad who I felt needed to go YEARS ago! I also hope my girl Kari has an actual role. Maybe not full time, but heavily recurring. I still find their first season to be perfection and I don’t think they should’ve eliminated anybody. Kari is more interesting to me than Lisa Nicole or Contessa. I will say this Quad news has me excited. I was so sad when I saw Mariah was gone but now I do not give a damn! As long as Quad is gone I will live. Alleged full time cast:

I knew Mariah was fired, but didn’t realize they finally got rid of Quad! They’re on this cast trip with Lisa Nicole and Kari, plus two new women we don’t know.

I wonder when this is premiering. We know fall, but I’m hoping October.

Honestly, I get why people want Ramona gone, but she is such a perfect HW I understand why they keep her. I personally don’t mind her or how she treats people. From a tv standpoint she works. Especially if Jill returns Id want Ramona to be around. Now as for Beverly Hills, that was watchable but a mess. So much was cut from the season and it was edited to be centered around Denise. Based on the Rome episode and this one, you can tell that producer Chris didn’t like Denise and was biased against her. How did Kyle know she had filmed with Camille? Why was he trying to get Garcelle to talk [!@#$%^&*] about her on camera? Also, why is it a big deal that she missed two events? The season was predicated on her “stopping filming” in December, but what they leave out is that they ALL stopped filming in December. They did a pick up in January of the girls going to see Erika because that’s when she debuted and it was to tie up her story. In the end we see she really didn’t impact filming, she simply refused to be around Brandi which is understandable. If you go back, Kyle and Rinna (and Garcelle) all missed events. Never have they been required to appear at every event. You could tell by the Rinna/Sutton/Garcelle scene that Rinna was realizing the fans likely wouldn’t be on their side and that’s where the upset came from. I’m not sure if Denise will be invited back, but she should be. Despite leaving early and missing some events, she CARRIED this season. There is no reason she had to be the focal point of everything to “earn” her diamond. Erika and Teddi were FRIENDS. If you wanna talk, let’s talk about why they still have jobs. Let’s talk about why the first 3 months of filming was condensed to 3 episodes. Let’s talk about why there were 16 episodes when New York filmed less and had 21. This ensemble needs WORK. Garcelle and Sutton were wonderful additions, but they need to get rid of the dead weight (Teddi, Erika) and give it another refresh so the show can have more than one damn storyline. Honestly I’d fire Rinna as well. Teddi/Kyle/Rinna have too much power with producers and it’s become obvious they’re controlling the narrative. That needs to stop.

I’m a big Carole fan, but those tweets are a bit dramatic lol. Dorinda was very real though, I’ll give her that. Insiders still say 1 more person is out. I feel like it must be Sonja.

Also, here is the full context with Garcelle and Rinna. The tweet I’m quoting is among Rinna’s likes on Twitter which shocked me. Shows she knows she fucked up. I don’t think she expected Bravo to show the full clip and now it proves her to be a liar.

I’m still stunned about Dorinda. It’s not that I disagree about the show being groundhogs day or that she’s been a total [!@#$%^&*], but even with a reboot looming I didn’t think they’d get rid of Dorinda. This gives me hope for Beverly Hills. The are in dire need of Erika, Teddi and Rinna leaving. Who knows? Maybe it will happen. IF they’re willing to lose the Berkshires and Dorinda, maybe BH will let some of their dead weight go.
