Gwen frets to Iris how uncomfortable it makes her feel to have Will so close, especially when she moved in with her mother to stay away from him. Carly stops by to ask Gwen to watch the kids while she goes out of town for a day on business. After some intense interrogation, Carly finally gives in and reveals that she's actually going to Montana so she can get her head right. Gwen rolls her eyes and sarcastically giggles that Carly can't seriously be running away again. That's what got her in this position in the first place, she says. Carly takes offense and leaves, later running into Emma. The Snyder matriarch echoes the same sentiment. For years, Carly's been in this same routine: when things get to be too much or too confusing, she leaves town, and returns to find a whole new chaos. Maybe staying put is the best solution. Just like Emma recently discovered, she counsels that running away isn't always the best thing to do.

A few days later, Jack comes over to Carly's to return Sage's backpack. When he makes a joke about their fishing trip last week, Carly's reminded of the kiss and scolds Jack for kissing her in front of the children. Although he maintains that it was just an innocent peck on the cheek, Carly argues that any symbol of affection might give the kids false hope about them getting back together. Tightening his brow, Jack wonders aloud if maybe he's catching the same confusion since he thought that they had agreed on starting over. Perhaps he's running off of false hope too, he huffs. Carly quietly reminds him that they agreed to start over, not get back together.

Aaron and Casey sip cola and grab popcorn by the handfuls, shoving it into their mouths as they both spring up and yell "Touchdown!!" Alison comes in and disgustingly chuckles at what slobs they are. After Casey leaves, Alison thanks Aaron again for trying to be civil. Aaron shrugs that Casey's not as bad as he thought. He was just jealous after seeing how close Alison and Casey had become. He started wondering if maybe people who didn't know them thought that Casey was her boyfriend. That would never happen, Alison explains. Everyone in Oakdale should know by now that she's Aaron's...and only Aaron's. The next day, in Old Town, Luke catches Alison and asks if she's ready to help them expose Colin. Hesitant, Alison starts to backtrack and opt out of the original agreement. Luke begs her, explaining that she'll only have to have a drink or two with the guy; nothing too harmful. Eventually, Alison agress. Later, before Colin goes on the date with Alison, he learns from Jade that Luke is Lily's son. Intrigued, Colin heads off for his date. Soon, Holden sees Alison and Colin sharing a laugh and automatically makes assumptions. While Luke spies his dad from afar and rushes to keep him from confronting Alison in front of Colin, Colin heads off to the bathroom. Following him, Alison overhears Colin reporting to Mr. Taylor that he still hasn't found anything, but he believes Jade's cousin Luke might be helpful in his search.

Carrie still holds onto the photo of Cabot, desperately pleaing with God to help her. Noah comes in and almost catches her with the photo. She reveals that she's moving back in with Barbara. Noah's shocked and acidly, Carrie rhetorically asks if Noah really thought this living arrangement would last. Days later, Barbara welcomes Carrie back into the penthouse and makes Paul apologize for lying. Later, Paul vows to Carrie that he'll be keeping an eye on her. Fed up, Carrie asks how long Paul is going to keep his mother in the dark about the fact that she's Darryl's daughter. Walking back in to discuss designs, Barbara overhears Carrie's statement and stops dead in her tracks. Across town, Rosanna sets off to follow the lead about Cabot in Arizona. She runs into a woman named Kathy, who suggests that she might know more...if the price is right.

Margo comes home and finds out from Tom that Casey's parole officer has a meeting with him in the morning. Starting to panic, Margo wonders what the parole officer wants now. Eventually, after watching his wife in silent panic mode all day, Tom reveals that he knows Margo lied to Casey's parole officer about letting him borrow the car. Margo tries to apologize, but Tom seems more betrayed by the fact that Margo lied than the actual lie itself. After twenty-something years of marriage, he sarcastically grunts, you think they would have worked out the honesty part. Tom also huffs that he can't believe that Margo, an officer of the law, would sacrifice her job like that. Teary eyed, she screams that Tom knows he would do the same thing for Casey...or would he? Tom is hurt by Margo's fierce, emotional questioning of his parenting and storms out. Later, Casey comes home and learns that his mother and father are fighting. Upset that they're fighting over him, he seeks advice from Lisa, who promises to talk to his father for him.

Michael is released from Oakdale Memorial with a few scratches, but in good spirits. Michael asks Margo if there are any leads on his case and she informs him that the only lead that they have is that the car was red. Immediately, Michael knows Doris was the one that run him off the road.

Casey and Sofie's romantic day in is interrupted by Tom's early arrival home from a business meeting. Casey grunts that he knew moving in with his parents was a bad idea and gripes to Sofie that they'll never have time to themselves. Lisa stops by and apologizes to Sofie for her words the other day at the cookout, but Casey stops her short when he says Margo should be the one apologizing. Later, Casey recalls Gabe's harsh talk with Paul and wonders why Paul was so mad.

Noah runs into Carrie on his way to the gym. Unable to run, Carrie must face Noah's tough questions. Noah grills Carrie and wonders aloud if she had the abortion. Carrie slaps Noah after a heated exchange in which he calls her a slut. Later, Luke notices Noah's agressive nature and calls him on it, but Noah disregards his bad mood as school-related.

Rosanna and Carly suggest sending the kids with Jack for the day so they can have some sister/sister bonding time. Carly's thrilled with the idea and the two go shopping. When Rosanna and Paul run into one another, tensions is high and Rosanna cuts their talk short. But when the two sisters get the car, Carly sends Rosanna back to fetch a lost item, knowing that a second run-in with Paul is inevitable.

Lucinda calls Luke and Noah into her study at the mansion and for the first time, Noah is briefed on the fact that someone posed as him on the internet over the weekend and outed him as the mole. Noah persuades Lucinda to give him a chance to prove that he's not the mole and that Sherry is, and Lucinda agrees. Later, Noah learns he has to go to Ohio for a conference. Meanwhile, Kevin invites himself over to keep Luke company while Noah's gone.

We made it to 200, guys!

    -------------------------------------

Through a visit with Lily, Carly discovers that Carrie is now living with Noah in Lucinda's guesthouse. The two ladies discuss the fact that Carrie's past remains a mystery to pretty much everyone in Oakdale. Whatever the case, James must have been holding something pretty big over her head for her to work for him, they conclude. Lily changes the subject to Jack and Carly, and Carly reveals that she thinks Jack might want to make another go at it, but she's not sure if either of them, not to mention the kids, are ready for such a big step.

Gwen answers the door and finds Will on the other side. She bluntly asks if he's had anything to drink and Will counters that he hasn't had a drop since his run in with Jack. It was Jack that made him think about what he was doing to his family, and he apologizes. Will plays with Hallie while Gwen hears about Will getting fired from the bookstore. Iris overhears and thinks that it would be nice to have Will around to spend more time with Hallie. She explains that she needs some work done around the house and kindly offers him the job. Gwen resentfully eyeballs her mother as Will graciously accepts the generous offer.

Barbara returns home from her businnes trip out of town and sees Carrie's room is empty. Baffled, she phones her. Confused, Carrie replies that Paul had told her that she was fired and had to move out. Barbara scoffs that she did no such thing and tells her she's welcome to return as soon as she can; they need to meet with some top names in the business tomorrow to discuss the new line. Hanging up, Barbara sets off to confront Paul, who denies he told Carrie to move out. She must be making that up, he suggests, to drive a rift between mother and son. Barbara yells that Paul is just like his father: deceitful, cunning, and ruthless. After she's left, Paul gets a call from Rosanna, requesting he come with her to meet the private investigator.

A few minutes later, Paul walks into the office of the private investigator and finds Rosanna pacing the floor. She shamefully admits that she's losing hope for Cabot's safe return day by day. The P.I. comes out of his office and thanks them for coming; he thinks he has some big news. He found a couple in Arizona that says they've seen a man around town with a child matching the picture of Cabot that Rosanna provided. Rosanna cries with excitement as Paul pulls the P.I. aside. Threatening, Paul offers to serve him his head on a platter if this lead doesn't check out and he's left to console his friend after yet another false lead. Paul asks to see the photo of Cabot that he has in his file. The P.I. hands him the photo, showing an infant Cabot shortly after birth. There's a hand holding him in the corner of the photo, which Paul assumes is Rosanna's hand.

The camera zooms in on the hand in the photo and zooms out to reveal a real life hand toting the same image of an infant Cabot. A teardrop falls and the photo gets tucked back inside a manila enevelope. The camera pans out to reveal that it was Carrie holding the photo. Wiping her tears away, she hides the envelope in her purse and gets into bed.

Lily sets up arrangements for Jade to get off on bail. Margo informs her that Luke is still being held accountable for obstruction of justice charges, but she's thinking the charges will be dropped due to the state's lack of funds to be able to prosecute both cases. In her cell, Jade promises Luke that it's not his fault that this happened, but adds that she would have liked to known that he was covering for her.

Craig goes by Lyla's with champagne, ready to celebrate Lyla's positive test results. Instead, Lyla comes in with the bad news from Michael, but tries to sugar coat her diagnosis for an emotional Katie. In private, Lyla tells Craig that she has worries about Katie living without her. He changes the subject and informs his mother that he's hired Carrie as his assistant. Lyla chuckles that he doesn't even need one, but it doesn't surprise her. It's obvious Craig's just trying to get to Paul.

Returning in a rage, Rosanna slams down her purse and muses to Paul that she wishes Craig Montgomery was just a bad dream. In an instant, the whole town would wake up and realize that he was just a figment of their mind, agitating and provoking them in a nightmare. She tells Paul about her run in with Craig at Metro, and Paul calls Tom to see what they can do. Later, Barbara arrives and sadly notes that Will's custody hearing is next week. She's surprised by Paul's adamance in not going, because it will be a precursor to the battle they're about to fight with Craig.

While Lyla stays home and gets some rest, Craig humors Katie by agreeing to by her something. In the process, the two run into Michael. Katie, still hurt over the embarassing lecture he last have her about faking her pregnancy, introduces the two very briefly before excusing herself. Craig takes kindly to the efforts Michael is taking to save his mother, but furiously forbids his late stepfather's brother from going anywhere near his mother during personal hours.

Carrie comes home and finds that Carly brought by a fruit basket from the women at WOAK. Carrie gushes about how thoughtful they are and heads upstairs. Carly stops her and asks for her to sit down on the couch. Carly can see that Carrie's hurting and gives her advice, recalling how she felt when she lost Nora. Carrie thanks her and decides to go out for some shopping, hoping her favorite hobby can ease her anxiety. In Oldtown, she runs into Noah who's there buying Luke something. They barely say two words to one another but Carrie's wounded look speaks volumes to Noah. Later, Noah pays a visit to Cheri's grave and confides that he knows what it's like to grow up without a parent. He wishes now that he had taken more initative to be a part of Carrie's baby's life...his baby's life...instead of doing what he did and persuading her to get rid of it. Meanwhile, Carrie feels someone following her as she heads into Fashions. Jack, emerging after returning a blouse for Emma, senses Carrie's fright and ushers her into the store. Little does he know that just feet away, James has ducked into an alleyway to avoid being seen.

Taking a break from work, Bob fiddles with paperwork in his office. Susan comes by to inform Bob of a problematic nurse being late once again when Kim eases her way into the office. Susan turns to take her leave, but Kim gently clutches her arm and tells Susan to stay. She needs to speak with both of them. Bob warns his wife not to make any claims that she can't support. Kim laughs, informing them both that she's come because she needs to settle something. She continues that for months now, she's been childishly jealous of Susan and Bob working together. With Chris in prison for the actions he took against his father, she felt that Susan's own bitterness towards Chris (for loving and leaving her daughters) would negatively affect Bob. Then, when it was announced that the cancer center would be built, she felt that Bob and Susan working so closely together would result in another affair. However, she finishes, now she's seen that all her hostility towards Susan has done is create a rift in her marriage. With that, Kim extends her hand to Susan. Forcing a smile, she mumbles, "Truce?" Susan and Bob exchange questioning glances before Susan finally takes her enemy's hand and shakes it vigorously. "Truce", she sighs. Kim's lips curl with a slightly devious smile.

Inching her glasses halfway down her nose, Lucinda holds out the latest copy of The Intruder. She examines the special story done on Sherry and her father's devious attempted take over of Worldwide. She thanks Emily and heads out, only to get a call from a concerned Lily. Lily recalls leaving Jade with the kids, but when she came home, Luke was watching them. He didn't say where Jade had gone; he only told her that Jade would tell her herself. Lucinda stops by and sees Lily's in distress. Lily worries that Jade has found her way back to the troublesome life she lived before. Jade comes home and eases Lily's concerns when she informs her that she got a job at Java. Lily doesn't see why since Jade should know that she can count on her aunt for financial support. Jade reasons that she's done having to rely on others; she's learned to live by her own rules and bearing her financial burdens is one of the things she's learned to accept. She explains that she plans on paying rent, but Lily refuses. Before the issue can be drug through the dirt, Luke comes home and asks Jade to accompany him to a concert.

Lyla paces in front of Tom and Margo's sofa. She can hear Sofie and Casey's argument escalating. She had come over to talk with Margo, but when she realized Margo was at work, she called her and asked her to come home so they could talk. Meanwhile, Casey and Sofie stand in Casey's room. As Casey throws a lamp against the wall, he blasts Sofie for having feelings for Gabe and leading himself on for all these months. Sofie cries that she's not guilty of anything except chasing her lifelong dream. Frustrated, she cries out, "Did you really think that I wanted to clean mansions for the rest of my life?" Sofie maintains that the only reason she signed with the modeling agency in Spain is because she wanted to, not because she wants to be closer to Gabe. Casey growls that he should have never introduced them. Sofie comes forward and clings to Casey. Tearfully, she begs Casey to let her do what she wants with her life. That, of all things, will prove to her that he loves her. Casey turns a cold shoulder and tells Sofie to leave. When she doesn't respond, he angrily screams for Sofie to leave. With that, she scurries out the door and hops into the waiting taxi cab. He watches, with anger and sorrow, as the taxi cab pulls out of the driveway. No doubt, he knows, it's taking her to the airport to catch a ride to Spain and out of his life forever.

Margo comes home and finds Lyla sitting restlessly on the couch. She apologizes, citing that a case blew up in her face at the last minute and she ended up having to stay at the station longer. She turns her head and watches as Sofie scurries down the stairs. She calls out for Casey, knowing that Sofie must have just left for Spain. He doesn't come out and Lyla suggests Margo go talk to him. Margo contemplates that she can talk to him later. Lyla breathes in deeply and spills her reason for coming. She wants Margo to head off the train before it wrecks and persuade Katie to end her engagement to Brad. Margo questions that she thought Lyla liked Brad now. Lyla admits that she has eventually warmed up to Brad, but she's worried that Katie's heart will be ripped to shreds by another faulty marriage. Sometimes, Lyla reveals, she worries that Katie only has as many moth-infested wedding dresses as she's had because she's trying to fill a hole that her father left when he died. Somehow, she reasons, Katie thinks that by marrying, she's marrying a man that will (ironically) be that father figure that she's thirsted for for so long. Margo chuckles and grabs her mother's hand. Softly, she whispers that Lyla's concerns are well founded, but she has to let Katie find out the hard truths of love on her own. She reasons that Lyla can't always be there to head off the train. Katie, meanwhile, just has to sit on the train and hope it doesn't run off the tracks. Lyla pats her daughter's hand and mutters that maybe she's right. As Lyla heads out the door, Tom comes in. Wearily, Margo suggests he go talk to his son. Tom agrees but after a failed attempt to pry him from his room, he shrugs to Margo that perhaps Casey needs time to himself.

Margo is still feeling guilty for lying to Tom when he appears downstairs headed to work. When Lyla comes by, Margo berates her mother for keeping Brad in the dark about everything. Lyla can tell something is bothering her oldest daughter, but Margo argues everything is just fine. She knows that if Lyla ever finds out that she lied to Tom about Casey, her mother and her husband will both hang her out to dry.

Lily catches Lucinda over at Worldwide and confonts her mother about all the whispering between her and Dusty last night. Lucinda denies it was anything important. That subject aside for now, Lucinda informs Lily that Carrie has moved into the guesthouse with Noah. Back at the house, Lily comes home and informs Luke that Noah and Carrie have moved into together. She's floored by Luke's cold reaction and finally realizes that her son isn't all the way over Noah just yet.

Gwen comes downstairs as Iris asks how Hallie is doing. Gwen reports that she's doing alot better now, but she still cries alot. Iris hints that maybe Hallie just misses her dad. Gwen's shocked and asks her mother if she thinks she should invite Will over, especially after all he's done to Iris; not to mention how drunk he's been. Iris shrugs that maybe seeing Hallie will put things into perspective for him. "Or give him false hope about us getting back together," Gwen irritably huffs.

Katie comes home and is shocked at the nice meal that Brad has prepared. She eyes the table, all set with candlelight and roses. Katie groans that she's tired, hoping to lie her way out of basking in the warm candlelight glow of her latest non-truth. Brad insists that Katie's eating for two now. Later, on an errand, Katie runs into Alison and her eyes light up when she learns that her old friend now works at the hospital.

Knocking incessantly, Rosanna wakes Paul in the wee hours of the morning after a horrific nightmare about finding Cabot cold and on the brink of death. She shudders that she can't go back to Fairwinds; it holds too many memories of Cabot. After calming her down, Paul insists they keep looking until they find Cabot, alive and safe. Once Paul's out the door for a meeting, Rosanna schedules a meeting with her private investigator, hoping he has some leads on Cabot.
  7. Actor87
Swinging the door open, Will confronts Barbara about her role in buying the house. She denies everything, but Will reveals that he just got off the phone with the real estate agent; she can't lie anymore. Trapped, Barbara finally grumbles that she did buy the house with the intent of Noah and Carrie moving in together. She reasons that Will has become much too attached much too soon with Carrie and she knows he's still in love with Gwen. Will scoffs that even if he was, it's his own life. Barbara has no control over who he sees or what he does. Later, an angry Will trashes Barbara's suite, but Carrie settles him down.

Aaron thanks Alison for calming him down at Al's. If she had not have come in, there's no telling what he would have done. The doorbell rings and Aaron wonders who this could be. It's Casey, coming to talk to Alison about Sofie's letter. He received another one, which tells Casey that she's happy, getting married, and never returning to Oakdale. Casey calls himself stupid for letting a guy like Gabe around Sofie. Aaron defends that there's no way he could have known that they would end up together. Both of them push for Casey to go on another date with Gwen. Casey shrugs that he likes Gwen, but he's still not all the way over Sofie.

Susan reminds Emily that it wasn't too terribly long ago when she needed forgiveness from Dusty. Now, it's her turn to repay the favor. Emily mutters that she'll sleep on it, heading upstairs for the night. Michael comes by and Susan giggles when she sees that he's brought take-out from Al's and a small candle (that he stole from Susan's foyer) for them. Susan admits that this should make up for him having to cancel last night. After dinner, Michael starts to nibble on Susan's ear but she stops him by revealing that Emily's upstairs asleep. Michael smirks that they can be quiet, but Susan suggests they get a hotel room. As they gather their things, Michael gets a page from Lyla who isn't feeling well. Although he promises the medical emergency won't last long, Susan is visibly upset. Across town, while giving her some medication to help with the pain, Michael finds out that Lyla still hasn't told her family. She promises to tell them soon. Michael warns her that the sooner they know, the lesser the fall-out.

Opening the door, Lily comments to Craig how late it is. She's glad Holden is over at Emma's helping her with a pregnant horse, or he would be livid. Craig thanks Lily for her time and assures her he won't be long. He just needs to know if he has made the right decisions since he came back to town. Lily sympathizes with Craig and gushes that he sacrificed his own life to save Cabot's and kept him out of harm's way all of this time. The least that Rosanna can do is acknowledge the bond that he's formed with Cabot and share custody of the young toddler. Craig explains that he knows it's a long shot, but he's a changed man and he feels like Cabot is his own son after spending almost a year with him. Lily fears that Craig is using Cabot as a replacement for Johnny, but Craig denies it. He still hasn't stopped looking for Lucy and Johnny. Before leaving, Craig hints that he's done something that will change his situation for the better.

At home, Katie paces back and forth in her bedroom. Lyla tries to reassure her; seeing the way Brad supported her has convinced Lyla he's a good husband. Katie's glad her mother finally sees through his rough exterior, but it's not Brad Katie's worried about---it's Carly's next move. Lyla tells her not to borrow trouble, Brad obviously doesn't believe anything Carly says. And there's no reason he should start now. Once a little time has passed, she and Brad can start planning their family for real. Brad appears in the bedroom doorway, startling them. Katie skittishly hustles back into bed, while Lyla pretends to fuss over her. Brad thanks Lyla for watching over Katie, especially when she must be exhausted herself. "There's nothing I wouldn't do for my baby," Lyla tells him. Somewhat detached, Brad wonders if he'll ever get to say those same words.

Barbara glides back into town and meets up with Noah at Java. He explains that he can't do this to Carrie anymore; she obviously doesn't share the same feelings as he does for her. Barbara barks that the only thing Carrie has on her mind is Will and her son has been through enough heartbreak; she can't risk sending him down the same path towards another possibility of heartbreak, no matter what a good person Carrie is. Later, Barbara stops Carrie in the midst of her designs and vaguely points out that Noah seems to have her best interests at heart. Carrie sighs that she knows, but she's too preoccupied with work and personal problems to care about Noah the way he cares about her. Taking a break from work, Carrie checks her mailbox and finds a letter from Darryl, surmising that he's clean now and wants to see her. Carrie scoffs and throws the letter in the trash. Barbara comes behind her and notices the letter. At home, Carrie learns from Barbara that she read the letter and is livid. Just because she is Jennifer's half-sister doesn't give her the right to go through Carrie's personal things like a mother. Barbara winces at Carrie's harsh words. She thinks about calling Darryl and decides that as much as she doesn't want to, maybe bringing Carrie's father to town to mend old fences would be the perfect holiday surprise.

Brad insists Lyla go home and rest. He'll "take care of" his wife. Lyla stalls, sensing Katie's guilt grow as Brad starts to pamper her. Brad stands firm, and Lyla reluctantly leaves. Katie starts to ramble, making plans for the holidays, until Brad shouts for her to stop. There won't be any big family gathering at the farm---at least not for her. Shocked speechless, Katie starts to cry as Brad tells her he knows the pregnancy was a lie. Worse, the miscarriage was too. The fact that he was blindsided by her makes him sick. Katie tries to deny it, but Brad shows her the hotel bill proving she was drinking in Chicago, instead of visiting her sister. Stuck, Katie admits it, and tries to explain. Grabbing and shaking her, Brad barks there's no excuse for her lies. It's bad enough she lied to her husband, but Lyla doesn't deserve her twisted mind games. They're over, he fumes, walking out the door and leaving Katie in shambles on the floor. Lyla comes in and explains that she heard everything and she's so sorry. She lovingly pats Katie's head as her daughter melts into tears.

Carly summons the kids downstairs upon Jack's arrival. Sitting them down on the couch, he explains he's taking a job out of the country, and he doesn't know how long it will last. Parker notes the tension between Jack and Carly, and asks if that's the only reason Jack's leaving. Jack assures him it is, and that it's an important job he needs to handle himself. J.J. and Sage accept the news reluctantly, but hug Jack and tell him to hurry back home. Parker is less trusting, but with some prompting from Jack, promises to shoulder more responsiblity around the house. With promises to keep in touch, Jack kisses the kids and ushers them outside to the waiting school bus. He tells them to enjoy their last day of class before the break. Carly invites Jack in for some tea, but he says he has to go and ventures outside to his car. Realizing it's now or never, Carly rushes after him, stopping Jack as he gets in the driver's seat. "Don't go," she pleads. Voice cracking, Jack looks her straight in the eye and repeats that he needs to go. The job's that important. Seeing he won't be swayed, Carly steps back out of his way. Jack starts the engine, as Carly wraps her arms around herself against the cold. The car starts backing out of the driveway, stops, and Jack gets back out. Taking the scarf from around his neck, he gently wraps it around Carly's . "Take care of yourself, and the kids. I'll be back as soon as it's over," he promises before returning to the car and leaving.

Alison, Aaron, Casey, and Gwen all go on a double date to Mona Lisa. Lisa comments on how lovely Gwen looks and assumes that they're on a double date. Recalling that Gwen only wanted to come because she thought they would be discussing ways to help Will get help, Alison changes the subject. Gwen reflects that the whole time she's known Will, she never thought he'd be so reckless as to drink around their daughter. Casey changes the subject, protesting that they're having too good of a time to worry about Will. After dinner, Casey confides in Aaron that he's worried Gwen might still have feelings for Will. Across the room, Gwen tells Alison that she's reluctant to start a relationship so soon after Will, especially with Casey. After all, they do have a rocky past together and Casey still has feelings for Sofie.

Rosanna and Paul arrive in Kansas working on the lead that they received from Neil. A nurse from a local clinic reveals that a toddler matching Cabot's description was brought in yesterday. After reluctantly agreeing to aid them in their search (thanks to a promising donation pledge from Rosanna), the doctor pulls the medical records for them. He explains that the toddler had a mild case of the flu, but his symptoms worsened until it developed into pneumonia. He tried to convince the father to take his son to the hospital, but the father strangely refused. The doctor hands them the medical records and asks them to please not implicate him or he could lose his license; he has a family to support and that would be the ultimate nightmare.

With the kids obviously feeling down, Carly tries to cheer them up by suggesting getting and decorating a Christmas tree. No one musters any enthusiasm for it, including Carly. The night passes quietly, and after a movie the kids don't protest going to bed on time. Later, as she locks up for the night, Parker comes downstairs and asks Carly for the real reason Jack left. Carly admits they fought, but chastises Parker for insinuating Jack lied. The job came at a convienent time, but she doesn't doubt Jack has work to do. Parker warns that he "feels" something is off, and that Jack didn't want to go. Carly assures him he's just upset and Jack promised he'd be back soon. Not mollified, Parker goes to bed, leaving Carly alone in the dark.

Clark reveals to Emma that he feels as if he has seen Lucinda some place before. Emma neglects to tell her boyfriend the mighty Lucinda Walsh's poor farm girl background, but offers up the hypothesis that maybe he did business with her once before...way back in the day. Later, Holden drops Faith and Natalie by the farm. Natalie spends time with her grandmother's new boyfriend and after he's left, starts playing with his jacket and wallet. An old timey photograph comes out of a hiden pocket within the wallet and Natalie observes it. The photo being taken way before her time, she doesn't realize that the photo she's staring at is an old photo of Clark and Lucinda when they were teenagers. Days later, Natalie asks Clark (in front of Emma) about the photo and Clark, recalling the girl he once loved, reveals that the woman in the photo is a very special woman to him. Emma seems to be a bit jealous and Clark teases her about it before heading back to his room at the Lakeview. Once in bed, he remembers Lucinda's face and thinks it odd that she and Mary Ellen have so many similarities, foregoing the thought or possibility that Lucinda and Mary Ellen are one in the same.

Flipping through the pages of a magazine, Dusty jumps when he hears a knock at the door. Lucinda reveals that she saw Clark today and he thought he recognized her. She almost lets it slip that Emily knows about her relationship with Clark when she makes a side comment about hoping Emily hasn't spilled the beans to Clark. Dusty asks what she's talking about, but Lucinda quickly covers. Across town, Emily learns from Michael that Susan is playing hard to get. Emily reluctantly agrees to speak with her mother, but Susan won't budge against her grudge she's holding. Lucinda comes by and asks Emily if she told Clark anything and Emily denies that she did. Lucinda hisses that if she finds out that Emily told a soul about her past relationship with Clark Allan, she'll make her pay. With the toddler now whimpering, the man turns around and Paul wearily exclaims, "You!" Rosanna runs behind him and stops dead in her tracks when she comes face to face with the man. "Oh my God! It's the 4th of July in Oakdale...

Will tries to avoid his wife's questioning eyes. Quickly, he tucks his sweaty hands into his pockets and confesses that he needs to check on his mom. She got some positive readings from the doctor and he's afraid she might be too cocky by going out to Kim's. He's afraid she might overwork herself. Gwen agrees to go with him to check on his mom and the two head to the Hughes house while Iris plays with Hallie.

Nancy can sense the tense air between Kim and Lisa and approaches Lisa, grabbing the peach cobbler from her hands. Nancy suggests Lisa help her with the rest of the food and Lisa obliges. Meanwhile, Susan overhears Bob confronting Kim about the tension between her and Lisa. Susan makes her way inside and learns from Lisa that she's skeptical of Kim's peace offering. Susan stands up for Kim, but Kim comes in and tells her not to bother. Lisa's right to be skeptical.

Carly arrives at the Snyder farm in just enough time to run into Brad and Katie. The women play nice and both comment on how strange it is that Emma's in town for once. Brad worries that something's wrong with one of his cousins and Emma's making frequent trips out of town to see them. Carly assures Brad that if something was wrong, Emma would tell them. Emma approaches and she gushes about how nice it is to see everyone here....and getting along!

Meanwhile, Luke arrives with Jade. Emma puts on a happy smile, but later, she asks Holden why Jade has returned. Holden reveals Jade came back to town to visit with Lily while she sorts some things out. Emma comments how it's not like Jade to just return to town without some ulterior motive. She knows the girl is nothing but trouble and frankly, she confesses, she thought Holden did too.

Luke comes in the kitchen and sees Kevin sitting with Sage as she colors. Jack comes in and addresses both Jade and Luke before heading back outside to help Holden with the steaks. Kevin smiles as he watches Jade give the thumbs up from behind Luke. Luke wonders aloud what brought Kevin to his family gathering. Kevin chuckles and says his family went out of town for the 4th and he requested to stay in Oakdale. Luke thinks it's a bit odd his former friend is sitting in his gramdother's kitchen during a holiday and pulls Jade aside. Jade finally confesses that she invited Kevin because she wanted them to patch things up. She knows Kevin meant alot to Luke at some point and she can't stand to watch their friendship crumble because things didn't work out after Luke confessed his feelings to Kevin. Maybe, she hints, Kevin's feelings have changed. Luke raises his eyebrow.

Noah rounds the corner at Oldtown and comes across Lucinda and Lily Both have returned from their business meeting and are headed to pick up some things on the way to Emma's. Lily stares Noah up and down before finally asking him what Luke ever did to be punished the way he was. Noah promises he never meant to intentionally hurt Luke; his fling with Carrie was just something that happened. Lily calls him out and tells him how cruel it was for him to pretend to be someone he's not. Luke invested his whole heart in Kevin and Kevin turned him down. Luke was vulnerable when Noah came along, and denied his feelings for Noah because of Maddie. Lily points out that all Noah had to do was cut Luke off right then and there. But instead, Noah strung him along and played gay for a few months before he finally got drunk and got sick of playing the game. Lily's disgusted and joins her mother, who walked off minutes earlier. Noah slams a sign and watches as his hand turns bloody. As he walks he sees Carrie speaking with a man. He buries himself behind a flower pot and watches.

Carrie thanks the mystery person for meeting her. Breathlessly, she admits that she would have contacted him sooner, but she got caught up in her own drama. Just then, a dark figure slowly saunters into the light. It's James Stenbeck.

Barbara's delighted when she sees Will and Gwen enter. Gwen finds Margo on the other end of the backyard and asks how Casey is while Will pulls Barbara aside. Panting, he pulls out the note and hands it to her. Barbara's shocked when she reads the note from Stan and tells Will to burn it. She can't believe it. Will asks his mom what he's going to do when his wife finds out that he set up Iris to look like a thief so Gwen would shun her forever. Barbara tells Will that no one has asked about the tapes so far and the investiagtion seems to be over already. Will asks what he's going to do when Stan goes to trial. He'll name Will AND Barbara. Barbara smirks and tells her son not to worry about anything. She urges him to return to his wife and enjoy the barbecue and fireworks. She'll take care of Stan. Will warns her not to do anything drastic and Barbara counters, asking Will if he'd rather lose his wife and daughter to a 6x6 jail cell or if he'd like to be with them for the rest of their lives. Knowing he has no other option, Will halfway nods his head and orders his mom to do whatever's necessary.

Susan turns around upon hearing Kim say how Lisa's right to be skeptical of their newfound truce. Kim reveals that she and Susan have been at odds for years...and there's nothing better she'd like than to rip Susan to pieces. However, she knows that bitterness will only plague her for the rest of her life. She informs Susan that she will never forgive or forget what she and Bob did that one night. That's one night with her husband that she'll never get back. Susan tries to apologize, but Kim cuts her off and tells her to keep it in the past. They've started over. Lisa shakes her head.

Susan emerges from inside the house and finds Michael visiting with Bob by the grill. Michael's excited to see Susan, but remembering Bob's hesitation, plays it down. Susan asks Michael what took him so long and he informs her that his niece stopped by. Lisa brings them all lemonade as Kim calls out the fireworks are about to start.

Paul makes his way through Fairwinds, screaming Rosanna's name. Surely, he thinks aloud, she didn't lie to him. Just then, a maid emerges and tells him that Mrs. Cabot headed out on business a little while ago. Business, he angrily screams. Out the door he goes and rushes to the airport. He almost misses Rosanna's blonde hair wrapped in a colorful scarf. She turns around and warns Paul not to try and persuade her to cancel the trip. She knows Cabot's in danger and she's going to make sure he's alright. Tears stream below her sunglasses as she confesses she can't sleep at night when she doesn't even know if he's safe or not. Paul begs her to drop it, but Rosanna replies by marching down the terminal. He calls out for her, but she's already boarded the plane. Defeated, he heads back out. This all wrong, he says. Over and over, he paces before finally shoving the stewardess aside and boarding the plane. Rosanna flinches when she sees a gasping Paul beside her. If you're going, he pants, then I'm coming with you. Rosanna shyly grins and orders the pilot of her private jet to cancel his call for security. "That'll be two for Canada. I have a guest," she informs him.

Carly can see Jack in pain and giggles that she'd be hurting too if she swallowed a steak whole like he did. Jack replies that he never gets a good home cooked meal anymore, so when he gets the chance to eat real food, he lunges at it. Carly's wounded stare makes Jack retract his words, but he knows he's hurt her feelings. To make up for it, he calls the kids together and grabs Carly by the waist, practically hurrying them outside. Both parents laugh in glee as they watch the kids playing with the fireworks.

Meanwhile, back in Oldtown, Noah watches as Carrie meets with a mystery man. He can't make out the face, but he remembers that voice. James tells Carrie that he thought he could trust her with an important misson, but as the days go by, she disappoints him more and more. Carrie apologizes and trembling, tells James that she was banking that she had more time. James grumbles that he gave her plenty of time. She's failed to fulfill her part of the agreement, so he's failing to meet his part. "No!" Carrie screams. She beats her fists against James's chest, crying for another chance. Finally, he prys her hands away and barks at her that she has one more week to get the information. After that, she can kiss her past and her future goodbye. Noah calls out for James, still not knowing it's him but James races off into the night. Still crying, Carrie runs from Noah. He finally catches up to her and asks what's the matter. Who was that, he wonders. Carrie does nothing but cry and hold tight to Noah as fireworks explode above them.

The gray airy residue from the fireworks falls into the night sky above Luke, Kevin, and Jade as they all watch the fireworks from Emma's porch. Jade agrees to help Sage with a sparkler, leaving Luke and Kevin behind. Kevin holds his hand out, but Luke doesn't see it. Kevin sinks back in his seat. Jade, watching them, falls down and calls for help. As both young men rush to help her, they both bend down and raise their heads at the same time. While Sage runs off with her sparkler and Jade crawls away, Luke and Kevin are still exchanging a longing glance. Kevin lunges forward, entangling his lips with Luke's. As they kiss, Luke pulls away violently and dashes inside. Jade comforts a wounded Kevin as he watches an emotional Luke through the kitchen window.

Meanwhile, Susan and Michael, Kim and Bob, Nancy and Lisa, Barbara, Will and Gwen, and Margo and Tom all look up at the night sky illuminated with colors.

Jack and Carly laugh as Lily comes up behind Holden and surprises him. They watch as Holden and Lily kiss. Jack inches his hand towards Carly's and she eventually clasps her fingers around his hand. They exchange a look as Holden and Lily look on hopefully.

Emma sits and watches the night sky with a distress in her eyes. Brad sits beside her as she forces a smile and pats his hand. Katie loops her arms around Brad and they all three watch the children gallop through the yard playing while fireworks glow in the humid night air above them. Meanwhile, Henry and Vienna pack boxes as the color lights up their bedroom curtains.

Paul watches as Rosanna sleeps and turns to look down at the world from the jet's window. Rosanna stirs in her sleep as Paul sees a tiny flicker of red, white, and blue dancing thousands, perhaps millions, of feet below.

The World Of Oakdale is making way for 2007. Cast changes have been coming left and right. New characters, old characters recast, departures, and maternity leaves have left the casting department with one of the busiest weeks this year.

For starters, fans of the classic NBC sitcom "Wings" will be pleased to learn that Crystal Bernard has landed the role of "Dana Hamilton". Dana comes to town right after learning of her father's impending engagement to Oakdale socialite Lisa Grimaldi. According to Executive Producer and Headwriter Dusty Alford, fans will be surprised with what he has planned for Dana. "There's more to her than meets the eye. I won't go into detail, but Dana certainly has a very deep, dark secret that will present itself in an explosive way come February Sweeps."

Also joining the cast is Brennan Elliott. Elliott is probably best known for his role on "Strong Medicine" where he played a doctor. In a surprising twist, he will also be playing a doctor on The World of Oakdale as well. Dr. Chris Hughes, that is. That's right. The World of Oakdale has cast the young stud as Bob and Kim Hughes's son, Chris. Fans may remember seeing him making a brief appearance as the same character during the Thanksgiving holiday a month ago. And according to Alford, fans can definitely expect Chris to put a kink in Andy and Emily's ever-so-complicated romance.

Sadly, The World of Oakdale has chosen to dismiss Guiding Light alum Marty West, as well as his on-screen sister portrayed by InTurn finalist Geneva. Their last airdate is scheduled for sometime in early January. "We wish them both the best," says Alford.

And lastly, Maura West will be going on maternity leave sometime in mid-January. Details of West's exit aren't known quite yet, because of Alford's inability to decide whether or not to recast the role of Carly during Ms. West's maternity leave. Alford supposedly had a big storyline planned for Jack and Carly to begin sometime in the early months of 2007, but due to West's upcoming maternity leave, he isn't so sure he wants to pursue the dramatic storyline without West.

So he's calling on the fans to make a decision for him. You may write to him either though commenting this blog entry or provate messaging him. Like in any case, feedback is greatly appreciated.

'THE WORLD OF OAKDALE' STOPS TURNING!
    by Jack Rabette

After almost 16 months of being on SONBC, The World Of Oakdale will no longer be turning come Friday, March 2nd. The day will not only be the show's final episode, but will also be their 300th episode.

"I'm just tired. And as much as I hate to end it, it's just something that has to be done", says Executive Producer/Headwriter Dusty Alford. "I'm ecstatic that we've gotten to be on the 'air' so long. I just want to thank the fans for all their support."

So where will Alford go now? And what exactly can we look for in the cliffhanger. Well, Alford isn't exactly sure of what he's doing next. "I've actually been throwing around a couple of fan fics in my head," says Alford. "One option would be to do a soap revolving around all the kids in Oakdale right now all grown up...amd set it in like 2021 or something. And the next option would be just to start over fom an episode that the show airs like I did with 'The World of Oakdale' ".

As for the finale, Alford says you can expect plenty of bone chilling, edge of your seats scenes with a handful of romance and comedy and good ole fashioned soap opera drama. "Lots of reveals, explanations, and an explosive confrontation that will end with death", promises Alford. "It's going to be good. 'The World' might be coming to an end. But I'm going to make damn sure the fans are on the edges of their seats when it does."

Luke invites her in and asks for more information about her sudden hesitance regarding Colin; remember that this was a guy she was head over heels for just a week ago, he scoffs. Unsettled, she turns the subject to Luke and Kevin. Luke explains that they slept in the same bed after the grand opening of Donovan's but never had sex; they were way too drunk. Jade's happy for Luke and surmises that it won't be long before Noah is a thing of the past and Luke and Kevin can finally be together.

Just then, Aaron appears and angrily berates Jade for getting Alison to do her dirty work for her. Luke takes all the blame, forcing Aaron to keep his cool. Frustrated, he dares Jade to come near him or Alison again before stomping away.

As he eats his lunch at Al's, Dusty comes face to face with a less than happy Emily. She wants answers, she demands, and she's not leaving until he gives them to her. They're engaged, she reminds him, so there's no reason to be keeping secrets. Dusty fumes that Emily needs to keep her nose out of his business. Emily hisses that she is his business, she's his future wife. After licking her wounds, Emily attempts to get answers from Clark over at Java, but he seems confused by the name Lucinda Walsh. He's never heard of her before, he concludes. Emily isn't done yet, though, and returns to her office at the paper. She picks up her cell phone and calls a long-time source, demanding they dig up every piece of dirt that can be found on Lucinda.

Carly ruffles through an old drawer, looking for some old sketches she had tucked away. She pauses for a moment when she catches a glimmer in the corner of the drawer. Pulling out her old compass, she reflects back on the first time she and Jack had the "true north" discussion. Jack knocks at the door, interrupting her nostalgic trance and he reminds her that she promised she'd pick up the kids from Emma's; he has some important errands to run. Arriving at the farm, Carly disrupts Emma's infamous chuckle as Brad proposes they name the baby Emma if it's a girl. Carly asks what they're talking about, but Sage's jubilant shriek at seeing her mother startles her. Carly giggles and rounds up the kids before heading out. Later, Brad mentions Carly coming by the farm and Katie nervously asks Brad if he told Carly about the pregnancy. Brad says no, but seems curious as to why his wife is so fidgety. Sensing her tension, Brad pulls out the ring he bought her while she was away. While he gushes at how it's a symbol of his love, devotion, and trust, Katie forces a hesitant smile.

Rosanna waits on pins and needles as her P.I. friend Neil ties up some loose ends on the phone. It appears that Kathy has agreed to come to Oakdale, but only under the terms that only Neil speak with her. Paul grumbles for him to speak with this Kathy woman, snatching the phone away and angrily yelling into the other end. Startled, Kathy hangs up. Paul apologizes, but a teary eyed Rosanna hisses that she wants Paul to stay away from her; she can do this on her own. She doesn't need his help anymore. Angry, he ventures to B.R.O. hoping work will get his mind off another failed attempt to persuade Rosanna to let him help and eventually heal the wound he inflicted upon her all those months ago. He should have never believed Meg over her, he says. Once he arrives, he tries to get work done, but he ends up trashing his office out of pure anger. Their voices grow louder until Kim clears her throat and gives them one of her iciest stares, shutting them up. When she's ready to address them, she shows them unedited footage of the fight and asks them if they know how ridiculous they look. When they start accusing each other, Kim slaps her desk; startling them into silence. Eyes blazing, she informs them that if there is another incident between them that wastes station time and resources, their paychecks will be docked accordingly. For everything from the crew's salaries to the ink used in getting statements to put in their permanent files---she is done playing den mother to a pair of spoiled brats.

Margo arrives at the Holden and Lily's and tells them that Colin's body is being autospied as they speak; they suspect foul play, no doubt. Lily pleads for Margo to go easy on Jade since she just got walking papers from the hospital. Inside her room, all that Jade can recall is walking through the park after work. After that, everything goes blank, she cries. After some earnest pleading from Lily that the questioning has gone on long enough, Margo relents. She promises to get back to them soon. Later, Luke worries that Jade is responsible. He flashes back to finding the bloody knife in Jade's bag after the ambulance picked her up. Protecting his cousin, he remembers throwing the knife in the woods at Lincoln Park and realizes that the police might find it there. Meanwhile, Kim confides in Lisa that she made nice with Susan. Lisa questions her, citing that Kim's not one to go down without a fight. Kim grins and replies that by burying the hatchet with Lisa, she's not only regained Bob's trust, but now, she can also keep a closer eye on Susan without being accused of being jealous. As Luke and Jade drive to the concert, Jade voices her happiness with being able to hang out with her cousin again. She explains that when she went back to repair things with the Taylors, all she did was sulk around in misery; she wasn't happy. Now that she's home, she beams, she can hang out with people that love her for her, not some misunderstood girl from an orphanage like the Taylors think of her. When they pull up to the concert, they can see cars lined up for miles. Luke isn't sure he's ready to be seen in public. He suggests that all his friends from Oakdale U will be looking for answers about Noah and he doesn't feel like saying that name ever again. Jade pats him on the back and assures him that he doesn't have to.

Alison and Aaron take a seat inside the concert. Alison tells Aaron that she invited Casey, but he didn't feel like coming. Aaron says how hard it must be for him to have the one girl in his life walk out on him. Alison takes it the wrong way, thinking he's talking about her leaving him in Seattle, and starts to leave. Suddenly, Casey appears down at the bottom of the rafters. Alison motions him up and suggests that he have a good time; tonight is going to be fun. Casey denies he's ready for fun since Sofie just walked out on him for one of his good friends. Aaron promises that he'll be fine; just sit back and enjoy the music.

Jade and Luke find an empty section towards the top and sit down as the band starts to play their first song. Luke talks about how great it is that Oakdale U supports this teen summer concert tour. Not only do students get to hear great music, but the funds raised go towards his computer systems program along with others. Jade finds someone staring out of the corner of her eye and sees Kevin start to approach. Almost a warning, Jade mumbles Kevin's proximity to Luke, who surprisingly invites Kevin over. Later, Noah comes by and requests to speak with Carrie. At first, Carly almost closes the door on him, but Carrie stops her and welcome him in. Shamefully, he admits that he treated her wrong. He should have never led her on like he did that night. He was drunk and upset and his head was somewhere else. Carrie smiles that he doesn't owe her anything, but Noah puts his hand on hers and mumbles that he does. They were having a child together and he acted like she didn't exist. He mutters that he knows what it feels like to feel abandoned and he would have changed alot if he could. After Noah leaves, Carly applauds Carrie on her gracious acceptance of Noah's apology. Carrie sighs that she knows Noah's mindset is a bit jumbled; she's been there, but he'll have to live with his pain for a long time if he doesn't learn to forgive himself first. As Carrie takes off her robe, she receives a text..."We need to talk. And don't bring the cop. Or you know what will happen".

As the concert comes to a close, Aaron spots Jade, Kevin, and Kevin's female friend waiting for Luke in the parking lot. Jade excuses herself, and the girl too, but Jade stays in ear range as Aaron and Kevin talk. Aaron chastises Kevin for bringing a girl when he knows Luke already thinks of him as a homophobic womanizer. Kevin laughs that the mystery girl is his niece of one year age difference and he brought her to the concert to meet up with her boyfriend who never showed. Aaron apologizes, but Kevin barks that Aaron should mind his own business. He'll tell Luke in his own time, Kevin says. Meanwhile, Luke approaches and asks Jade what's going on. Jade lies and says she doesn't know, almost daring Luke to go find out why his brother and his ex-best friend seem to be in a heated talk. Across the parking lot, Alison drags a drunk Casey to her car and orders him to stay there. She scolds him for getting too drunk and promises he'll regret it in the morning. As Alison goes to find Aaron, Casey unpacks a bottle of sleeping pills he smuggled from an old college friend. He chases two down with a swig of beer and sighs that if drunkenness won't rid his mind of Sofie, perhaps sleep will. Casey passes out moments before Alison and Aaron get in the car. They blame his passing out on all the beer he's had, but when they pull up to his house, they can't wake him up. Frantically, Alison rushes in and wakes up Tom. Alison nervously pants for Tom to come quick....Casey's stopped breathing. While Tom performs CPR, the ambulance arrives to take Casey to the hospital.

As tiresome as Katie is, she chuckles, she needs to keep Katie close to keep a watchful eye on her. Margo protests that now with all the lies surrounding both of them, Katie's going to need a life preserver to keep her from drowning in them. Later, when Margo returns home, Tom asks about how Casey's probation meeting went last week. Margo makes up a story and once Tom makes his way up to bed, she grimaces at the fact that telling the truth is alot easier said than done. She hates the irony of the situation and soon follows Tom to bed, hoping sleep will clear her mind of the fact that she, Lyla, and Katie are all liars.

Luke goes into Java and sees Jade getting off work. Exhausted from her shift, she sighs that he couldn't have come at a better time; she was just about to call him. Dusty tells Lucinda not to worry; he didn't tell Lily anything. Out of sight, Lily eavesdrops from the doorway.

Jack catches Carly staring at the water and asks her what's on her mind. Carly shrugs nothing, but Jack finally gets her to talk. Her eyes water as she recalls Parker jumping into this very same pond, hellbent on finding him all those years ago. Jack remembers and thinks back to how happy they were before it all went downhill. They were talking about having more kids, Jack smiles. Both look at J.J. and agree that they will always think of him as "theirs". At the door, Carly sends the kids inside to wash up. They plead for Jack to stay, but he protests that he has errands to run. Carly turns to close the door, but Jack holds the door and plants a simple kiss on her cheek. It's New Year's Eve in Oakdale. Usually, Metro would be throwing a big bash, but due to some legal matters, the club won't be open anytime soon. And as far as Ice, the newest nightclub in Oakdale...well, all the employees are going home to watch the Hal Munson Memorial Telethon on Channel 9, also widely known as WOAK. Barbara Ryan is co-hosting alongside her aunt, Kim Hughes, and the beloved Nancy Hughes. The event almost exactly coincides with the half year anniversary of Hal's death. And strangely, nobody had planned it that way. In any case, the money raised would be donated to one of Hal's favorite causes, the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Will and Gwen enter hand in hand, followed by Luke and Maddie. "Wow, they really have the place set up nice", says Gwen. Will hardly recognizes it, and stops dead in his tracks at the picture of his father in the backgorund of the calling center. "He would have been so pr...", Will struggles to finish but he just can't. Barbara greets them and asks who has volunteered to take calls, as Luke and Maddie take their seats by a phone. Will goes to get a drink of water, leaving Barbara and Gwen alone. Barbara tries to bring up matters of business, but Gwen doesn't care. Soon, Will returns and he and Gwen take their seats in the screening room.

Holden and Lily arrive and are thrilled to see Luke and Maddie. "I had to drag your father along. He kept trying to come up with exucses", taunted Lily. "No I didn't. I simply said that I think we should take it easy, ya know", Holden replied. "Well, if you think I'm going to just sit on my rump all day at the house watching soaps just because the doctor told me not to overwork myself, then you're wrong, Mr. Snyder. After all, I am singing tonight". Luke heard the frist part of that and thought after thought started racing through his mind. Maddie could notice he was worried. But that's when it was finally said. "Luke doesn't even know I'm pregnant. Do you, honey?" Luke stood in awe. His family had been through so many twists and turns over the past year. He felt as though this was the best thing that could happen....and the worst.

Lucinda grabs her coat and begins to walk out the door until Matthew comes rushing in, perhaps to warn Ms. Walsh of an intruder approaching. Indeed, he was. "Some gangly man outside. Said he has some news to deliver to you, Ms. Walsh. Quite a rude young man, I might add. Kept on..." Lucinda stopped him. This was twice in a week and she couldn't handle it anymore! "Craig" she muttered.

Chris was making some last minute changes to the equipment at the station. His mother had give him a little side project to keep him busy during the telethon. "Chris? Chris Hughes?" It was a voice that Chris knew all too well. Susan ran up to Chris and though hesitant for a moment after recalling the way Chris seemed to have chewed upand spit out both her daughters, Susan shook his hand anyway. After a brief catching up session, Chris felt the need to apologize just one last time. "You know, Susan, I just wanted to say that I'm sor..." Susan stopped him by raising her right hand high in the air, aimed at his face. "Hush, hush. No time for apologies. So I assume you're going to be rejoining us at Memorial?" But what she didn't know was the reason beind Chris's move to Oakdale was the absence of a job he once had. He had, sadly, come close to losing his medical license, but he had yet to find the courage to tell anyone...not even his family. So he just lied.

Andy isn't one for big parties, but he feels he has to go. He ows it to Hal. However, he isn't so sure how Emily will handle him being at the telethon being held in her ex-husband's memory. Either way, he doesn't seem to care. He pulls into a parking spot and notices a young blonde in a red car, the same car Emily drives. She has her head rested in between her hands and seems to be draining her tear ducts of all available moisture. Maybe she's upset about the break-up. I knew she'd finally realize the truth. I didn't sleep with Roxie. Maybe if I just tap on this window and offer her some sort of condolence, she'll listen..he thought. Tap. Tap. "Hey, you seemed upset. I was just gonna check. See if you're okay.," said Andy. No reply. Just crying. Tap. Tap. Tap. "Hey..are you okay? I mean, we can talk if you want. Or not. I can just go on about my business". Right as the "s" escapes his mouth, the blonde turns amd looks with eyes full of tears. "Roxie? What the hell's the matter?" Or does he even want to know, he inwardly chuckled.
