  4. Unfortunately, because the website and the message boards are two different systems there is no way to limit the website comments to just board members. I could force people to register with a Disqus account before they can post on the comment section, but comments in general are down drastically on articles that it wouldn't be worth it. As it is, I recently opted to stop paying the hefty fee to Disqus ($1260/year) just to not show ads in the comment section since there weren't enough posts to justify the cost. I've tried cross-referencing the limited IP data I have from Disqus with what we have on the SON Community but the person is likely using a VPN since the IP addresses keep changing. My hope is that by sharing some of the posts that have been deleted or flagged will shed light on the language used by the person that someone might possibly recognize them.
  5. If anyone thinks they can help with this situation, please step forward. I'm getting sick of having to delete these messages. (Examples Removed) This is clearly someone who is very aware of the history of the SON Community, dating back several years as they make reference to long-forgotten posters and any issues that happened during a specific era.
  6. As expected, newcomer Sawandi Wilson (“Star Trek: Discovery”) has joined the cast of “General Hospital” as a contract player. He first appeared on the Monday, August 26 episode of the ABC drama series. According to the end credits shown on Friday, September 6, Wilson’s character’s full name is Dr. Isaiah Gannon, a last name familiar to fans of the defunct “One Life to Live,” leaving many questioning if the character has ties to Llanview. Thus far, the character had been imprisoned at the same refugee camp as Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson), but later escaped and made his way to Port Charles. Shortly after leaving the airport, Isaiah found himself hit by a car during a struggle between Linda Boyle (Amor Owens) and Ava Jerome (Maura West). He was later transported to General Hospital thanks to Jason (Steve Burton) calling for emergency services. Steve Burton, Sawandi Wilson Christine Bartolucci/Disney Since arriving in the hospital, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) has been keeping a watchful eye on Isaiah, which has caused further fan speculation that the character has connections to Port Charles beyond meeting Lucky, or the greater ABC Daytime shared universe (ABCD-U) consisting of Llanview (“One Life to Live”), Pine Valley (“All My Children”), New York City (“Ryan’s Hope”) and Corinth (“Loving”). Isaiah is the first all-new character introduced by the show’s head new writing team led by Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten, and associate head writer Cathy LePard. With the addition of Wilson, “General Hospital” had 34 actors on contract as of the September 6, 2024 closing credits. However, with Adam J. Harrington (John “Jagger” Cates) exiting the series after his character was killed off in recent episodes, that number will soon drop to 33. That said, there are also reports that Charles Messure (Brennan) has been upped to contract status, but change has yet to materialize per the show’s current credits breakdown. Last week, it was reported that Kristen Vaganos had been upped to contract status, marking the first time that her character, Molly Lansing-Davis, has appeared on screen with her portrayer credited as a regular cast member. Simultaneously, Jonathan Jackson’s name appeared in the credits for the first time since 2015, with his character said to be having a long run in Port Charles this time around, albeit when the character formally arrives in town after remaining a captive at the refugee camp. Before joining “General Hospital,” Wilson was best known for playing Captain Leto in the 10th episode of the fifth and final season of the Paramount+ original series “Star Trek: Discovery.” His other TV credits include “High Maintenance,” “Quantico,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “Date. Love. Repeat.,” “Bull,” “The House of Flowers,” “Harlem” and even the Prime Video series “Dudes,” among others. 7. I re-checked the CBS press release on CBS Mornings Plus and they do indicate the following as the headline: In the body of the PR it says: Now, although they indicate 9:00 a.m. ET in the body, the entire press release opens with it being a 9:00 a.m. hour, so it can be presumed that the show will also air at 9:00 a.m. PT, however, they don't outright say it. Therefore, I may have misunderstood it? I've sent out an inquiry and will get back to you on what I learn.
  8. Agreed. Currently, "CBS Mornings" is carried twice on KCBS (CBS2) in Los Angeles, first simulcasting the East Coast broadcast from 4:00-6:00 a.m., and then again from 7:00-9:00 a.m. with the local news airing from 5:00-6:00 a.m. I've sent an inquiry. Will update when I have more.
  9. On Monday, December 9, “Guiding Light” alum Taye Diggs (“All American,” “How Stella Got Her Groove Back”), Chris Jones (3x Super Bowl Champion, Kansas City Chiefs), Tyler Posey (“Teen Wolf”), Bruno Tonioli (“Dancing with the Stars”) and James Van Der Beek (“Dawson’s Creek,” “Varsity Blues”) will join Anthony Anderson (“black-ish”) in baring it all to help raise awareness for prostate, testicular and colorectal cancer testing and research in an all-new primetime special airing on FOX. Titled “The Real Full Monty,” which is inspired by the beloved, award-winning 1997 film, the two-hour special will see the male celebrities train and rehearse for the most revealing performance of their careers, as they seek to encourage men to get themselves checked out by stripping the stigma around prostate, testicular and colorectal cancer. Anderson, who also executive produces the special, will lead Diggs, Jones, Posey, Tonioli and Van Der Beek toward their big strip-tease dance, choreographed by Emmy Award-winner Mandy Moore (choreographer for “So You Think You Can Dance,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “La La Land,” and Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour”). According to a synopsis, “The Real Full Monty” will see the group bare all in front of a live audience. Leading up to the final disrobing, the men will expand their limits, test their modesty and strengthen their bond with a series of rehearsals and experiences, both private and public, designed to build confidence and remove them far from their comfort zone and forge a brotherhood. Along the way, each of the celebrities will share their personal stories of how cancer has impacted their lives. Based on the international unscripted format first broadcast on the U.K.’s ITV in 2017, garnering awards, massive viewership and critical praise, the special has since been broadcast in the U.K. annually, and the format has successfully expanded into Australia, France and the Netherlands. Produced by Spun Gold TV (a 53 Degrees Global company) and FOX Alternative Entertainment, “The Real Full Monty” is executive produced by Anthony Anderson, Dan Norris and Ashley Edens, who also serves as showrunner. Executive producers from Spun Gold include Nick Bullen and Daniela Neumann. “The Real Full Monty” airs Monday, December 9 at 8:00 pm. ET/PT on FOX. Adams, Michael Chiklis, Debra Winger, Mercedes Ruehl, Justin Chambers, Christine Ebersol, Danny Pino, Ken Jeong, Cobie Smulders, Vella Lovell, Dina Shihabi and Isabel Arraiza, among others. First up is the stage production of “Shunned,” a play by Larry Parr that provides audiences with a realistic portrait of Amish life and philosophy, and the problems facing the community in today’s world, including growing pressure to adapt to changing technologies and curiosity from tourists about how they live their lives. Janice Lynde Howard Wise/JPI Studios Janice Lynde (ex-Leslie Brooks, “The Young and the Restless”) takes on the poignant role of Katherine Yoder, as she brings an exceptional presence to the evocative production that lifts the veil on Amish life, highlighting the universal feeling of isolation faced by its characters. Each performance invites a dialogue about marginalized experiences, challenging societal norms and prompting reflection on the impacts of exclusion. “Shunned” performance dates are Friday, October 4 at 8:00 p.m. PT; Saturday, October 5 at 2:00 p.m. PT; Thursday, October 10 at 7:00 p.m. PT; Saturday, October 12 at 8:00 p.m. PT; and Sunday, October 13 at 2:00 p.m. PT. In “Sundew,” another play written by Larry Parr, we’re introduced to characters who strive to protect the land they believe is the real Biblical Eden from developers as they deal with the spiritual ramifications of ecology after discovering the blossoming of long-extinct plants like the maroon-speckled sundew, and animals, such as the Carolina Parakeet. The play details one’s sacrifice for the protection of the gift of earth while weaving intricate narratives that challenge societal norms, many of which align seamlessly with the themes explored in “Sundew.” The thought-provoking play premieres Saturday, October 5 at 8:00 p.m. PT, with additional performances scheduled for Sunday, October 6 at 2:00 p.m. PT; Friday, October 11 at 8:00 p.m. PT; and Saturday, October 12 at 2:00 p.m. PT. 17. Having played many characters on “Saturday Night Live” over the last three seasons, comedian Sarah Sherman is ready to tackle her biggest acting challenge to date when she makes her debut on the ABC soap opera “General Hospital.” Sherman is set to appear in at least two episodes of the series, airing Thursday, September 5 and Friday, September 6, playing the role of Robin Finch, a “spirited” etiquette teacher, or dialect theorist as the character calls herself, who’s hired to help Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) when it comes to how she speaks now that she’s become the spokeswoman for Deception. In a preview clip shared by PEOPLE, Sherman’s character can be seen in the Quartermaine mansion being critical of the heavy Brooklyn accent spoken by Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) and Lois, starting from the moment Finch criticizes Olivia for the way she pronounces the word “croissant,” to which Ned (Wally Kurth), Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and even Tracy (Jane Elliot) can only look on in horror as things go down from there. “I don’t know who you are, or what you’re doing in my living room, but I’ll pronounce my French pastries just the way I eat them,” counters Olivia. “Incorrectly?” Ms. Finch retorts, to which Ned stands up for his wife, saying, “Anyway she wants!” After naming the area in which Olivia grew up in Brooklyn down to the cross streets simply based on the way she pronounced the “ah” while saying the word croissant, with Finch saying, “The closer to Bath Beach, the more nasal the tone,” it’s then the spotlight is placed on Lois. “I’m Robin Finch. I’m a dialect theorist and tutor to the stars,” Finch finally says, introducing herself as she walks toward Lois. “And you must be Lois Cerullo! My new student,” she adds as she offers her hand to Lois for a handshake. “I had the best time of my life and I couldn’t believe I got to act in a scene with ‘TRACY QUARTERMAINE’!” said Sherman in a statement released to PEOPLE. “I was so nervous about flubbing my lines, because I was surrounded by pros who memorize like a billion pages of dialogue a day. Also I met ‘Sonny Corinthos’ [Maurice Benard] so I can die happy!” A repertory player on Saturday Night Live,” Sherman is a comedian and visual artist known for her traveling comedy show “Helltrap Nightmare.” Her credits include “The Erik Andre Show” and the Netflix film “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah,” among others. She recently completed a nationwide stand-up comedy tour, “Live and in the Flesh Tour.” To get a sneak peek at Sherman’s appearance on “General Hospital,” check out the full article at PEOPLE, which includes photos and video. 18. Netflix on Wednesday released the official first trailer for “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story,” starring “General Hospital” alum Nicholas Alexander Chavez (ex-Spencer Cassadine) as Lyle and Cooper Koch as Erik. Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevigny play their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez. Premiering Thursday, September 19 at 3:00 a.m. ET/midnight PT on the streaming platform, the second installment in the “Monsters” anthology series details the Menendez brothers in the events leading up to and following their decision to fatally shoot and kill their parents in the family’s Beverly Hills mansion on August 20, 1989. While the brothers were later convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, during their trial, they cited years of abuse at the hands of their father as the reason behind the murders, a matter that receives ample coverage in the newly released trailer. Check out the official trailer below. In addition to Chavez, Koch, Bardem and Sevigny, Nathan Lane appears as investigative journalist Dominick Dunne, who covered the trials for Vanity Fair, while Ari Graynor takes on the role of Leslie Abramson, lead counsel for Erik Menendez. “Days of our Lives” alum Tanner Stine (ex-Joey Johnson) appears in the series as Perry Berman. In addition to the trailer, Netflix also released key art for the series featuring a shirtless Chavez and Koch, along with a family photo of the actors as their characters. 19. Unfortunately, because Jacqueline was not on contract but recurring status, a petition might not work. Without getting into it, which is no fault of hers, the show decided they no longer needed the character. Nothing can stop them from doing so, particularly for a short-term character when looking at Kelly's time on the show. Like Kelly, Jacqueline was also blindsided by the news of her exit. You'll note hers was even more abrupt. At least Kelly gets to film her exit if things don't change. I don't believe Albert Alarr had anything to do with a fan campaign. There's more to the situation than just fans launching a campaign that got him ousted. Meanwhile, the specific question was about change.org petitions. The Another World example doesn't apply because the website didn't exist then, and the internet in its infamy never had that much of an impact at the time Another World was still on the air.
  20. Get ready to watch Academy Award-winner Kathy Bates as she picks up the mantle left behind by the legendary Andy Griffith when CBS debuts its loosely based iteration of “Matlock” this fall. Airing Thursday nights at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, the all-new adaptation follows Madeline (“Matty”) Matlock (Bates), a brilliant septuagenarian who achieved success in her younger years and decides to rejoin the workforce at a prestigious law firm where she uses her unassuming demeanor and wily tactics to win cases. Although the series shares the same name as its predecessor, the show makes a point to note that the Matty character shares a familiar name with the original TV series, something that’s even brought up in the first episode. Highlighted by music featuring Britney Spears (“Oops!… I Did It Again”), a newly released promo gives potential viewers their first real look at how Bates’ “Matlock” differs from the original series, proclaiming that the character is not as innocent as she appears. In fact, after joining a prestigious law firm, it’s revealed that she might have ulterior motives for gaining employment at her age when she seeks out information on a case that has long plagued her. Ultimately, when it comes down to the work itself, Matty is assigned to Olympia (Skye P. Marshall), a senior attorney and key rainmaker with a thirst for justice. Meanwhile, Olympia’s ex-husband, Julian (Jason Ritter), who is the son of the head of the firm, finds himself intrigued by Matty and her clever skills. As the series continues, Matty endeavors to establish herself in her new high-stakes world while working alongside the firm’s younger associates, including the charismatic Billy (David Del Rio) and the uber-ambitious Sarah (Leah Lewis). On Sunday, September 22 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, CBS with air a special sneak peek at the premiere episode of “Matlock,” followed by an encore airing on Thursday, October 10 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. The series settles into its official timeslot with all-new episodes on Thursday, October 17 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Check out an all-new sneak peek at “Matlock” below. 21. Oh, I don't doubt it was a rewrite. It's character assassination on steroids. RJ looks like a boy in a man's body who can't get it up, while Zende gets redeemed at the expense of Luna framing him for assaulting her and at the same time making her a murderer. It's so weird.
  22. While there were several instances where “General Hospital” fans speculated that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) shooting John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington) during last week Friday’s episode would turn out to be a dream, those ideas were dashed on Tuesday when the drama series released its weekly promo indicating the mobster would seek solace from his ex-wife, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), to help him get out of his latest bind. In the promo, the Port Charles Police Department are shown casing the scene at the Quartermaine mansion boat house where John’s body is discovered, with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) pointing out the deceased FBI agent was shot as Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) takes in what’s happening on his family’s property. At the main house, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) declares, “Agent Cates is dead, and everyone here is going to need to be questioned!” Those present at the time are Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), and Sonny and Carly, among others. Speaking of Sonny, he demands Carly help him cover his tracks when he tells her, “If anybody asks, we’ve been up here for the last half hour.” In response, Carly asks “Why?” We’ll soon find out if he reveals the truth, but knowing Carly, she’ll cover for him no matter what. He’s her ride-or-die after all, at least when Jason (Steve Burton) is not in the room. Elsewhere, Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) is in for a surprise when he meets Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) face-to-face for the first time. Check out this week’s promo below. 23. The show is number one in Women 18-49, which pays the bills. This is the second week in a row in which the show has outright beaten Y&R in the important demo, when not factoring rounding. That's a win for the show. Plus, a few weeks ago the show was pulling in 0.22s and 0.23s. It's now at a 0.27 (last week 0.28) while Y&R is only at a 0.26 (last week 0.25). It's not easy to beat your lead-in, but B&B has done it for the last two weeks, partially due to Danny and Christine, and Looney Luna.
