ARTICLE: R.I.P. Norman Lear – Iconic TV Producer Dies at 101; Broadcast Networks to Jointly Honor Him With In Memoriam Card
Norman Lear, the comedy legend who created some of the most beloved television sitcoms of all time, has died. The producer behind such shows as “All in the Family, “The Jeffersons,” “Good Times” and “One Day at a Time, among others, was 101 years old. He died of natural causes at his home in Los Angeles on Tuesday, a spokesperson said. “Thank you for the moving outpouring of love and support in honor of our wonderful husband, father, and grandfather,” the Lear family said in a statement. “Norman lived a life of creativity, tenacity, and empathy. He deeply loved our country and spent a lifetime helping to preserve its founding ideals of justice and equality for all. Knowing and loving him has been the greatest of gifts. We ask for your understanding as we mourn privately in celebration of this remarkable human being.” In recognition of Lear’s vast accomplishments and influence across television, CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX and The CW will simulcast an on-air in memoriam card tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT honoring the late legendary TV writer and producer. Starting in 2019, ABC commissioned several “Live in Front of a Studio Audience” specials, which saw some of today’s biggest stars playing the iconic characters spearheaded by Lear. The most recent special aired in 2021 and highlighted “The Facts of Life” and “Diff’rent Strokes.” Previous specials covered “All in the Family,” “Good Times” and “The Jeffersons. In 2022, ABC aired “Norman Lear: 100 Years of Music and Laughter,” a TV special honoring the life and legacy of the remarkable storyteller, activist and philanthropist as he celebrated his 100th birthday. The special paid homage to the man behind some of television’s greatest stories and featured a lineup of celebrity guests and musical performances. Other iconic shows from Lear’s stable of hits include “Maude,” “Archie Bunker’s Place,” “Sanford and Son” and “Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman,” among countless others. Lear is survived by his wife, Lyn Davis Lear; his children Ellen, Kate, Maggie, Ben, Madeleine and Brianna; and grandchildren Daniel, Griffin, Noah and Zoe. Note: The post R.I.P. ARTICLE: Billy Miller’s Official Cause of Death Report Released by Travis County Medical Examiner
According to a Travis County Medical Examiner’s autopsy report obtained by RadarOnline.com on Monday, the official cause of death of three-time Daytime Emmy Award winner Billy Miller (“The Young and the Restless,” “General Hospital” et al.) has been ruled a suicide. The actor, who reportedly struggled with bipolar depression, was found by paramedics inside the bathtub of his Austin, Texas home on Saturday, September 16, and was pronounced dead at the scene. **TRIGGER WARNING** Miller was found deceased “with an apparent gunshot wound to the head,” the report says, adding, “Multiple letters indicating suicidal intent and instructions for others were found at the scene. A revolver chambered for .410 shotgun shells was found in the decedent’s right hand.” Before his death, a toxicology report found that Miller had consumed a cocktail of drugs and medications as demonstrated by the “presence of ethanol, cocaine, and its metabolites, diphenhydramine, and amphetamine.” Miller’s blood alcohol level registered at 0.08, RadarOnline.com reported. The 19-page autopsy report was signed off by Chief Medical Examiner J. Keith Pinckard, MD, PhD on November 14, 2023. The cause of death statement indicates Miller’s cause of death as “gunshot wound of head.” The manner of death is listed as “suicide.” Born William John Miller II, the beloved actor died just days shy of his 44th birthday. “He fought a long hard valiant battle with bipolar depression for years. He did everything he could to control the disease. He loved his family, his friends and his fans but in the end the disease won the fight and he surrendered his life,” said Miller’s mother, Patricia, in a statement released a few days after her son’s passing. In November, the University of Texas at Austin, in conjunction with the Miller family, announced a permanent scholarship endowment that would help radio/television and film undergraduate students with financial need. “We want something positive to be held in his name in perpetuity through the University he loved,” his sister Megan Hubbell said of the scholarship. “He would be honored to know that even in death, he can help someone else realize their dreams.” Click here to donate. Miller was one of just 20 students accepted into the University of Texas at Austin’s prestigious production sequence program in radio/television and film. He originally joined the school in the zoology program before switching. UT was reportedly Miller’s first choice, even though he had several options presented to him post-high school. Miller caught his big acting break in 2007 playing Richie Novak on “All My Children.” He made his television debut one year earlier appearing in an episode of “CSI: NY.” Shortly after his departure from the ABC soap in 2008, Miller went on to star as Billy Abbott on “The Young and the Restless” where he would receive five Daytime Emmy Award nominations for his portrayal, ultimately taking home three statues, including two for Supporting Actor (2010, 2013) and one for Lead Actor (2014). After concluding his time on “The Young and the Restless” in early 2014, Miller would later join “General Hospital,” first as Jason Morgan and then as Drew Cain when it was revealed that Drew was actually Jason’s (Steve Burton) twin brother. Following his exit from the soap in 2019, Miller went on to make guest appearances on such shows as “Truth Be Told,” “The Rookie” and “NCIS.” If you or someone you know is contemplating suicide or affected by issues raised in this article, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by dialing 988, texting the Crisis Text Line at 988 or going to 988lifeline.org. B&B/Y&R: Upcoming December 2023 Spoilers
Thank you for pointing that out! I was wondering how the hell I didn't have that photo with Winsor cause I thought I was going crazy for a minute when I saw you share that photo a few pages before. Yes, that photo is clearly photoshopped when you consider Heather Tom is actually in the photo and then you realize how different Winsor looks compared to the other cast members, plus the pose and outfit are from the 35th anniversary episode. Not to mention, there are currently no episodic photos available to the press of Winsor or Ashley as of this writing. Yikes!

B&B/Y&R: Upcoming December 2023 Spoilers
In addition, B&B listed his return as "beginning December 5," which means multiple episodes. His appearance in multiple episodes wasn't clear from that TV Insider "exclusive." We only found out through the SOD interview and through the B&B newsletter sent to the press that it would be for more than one episode. Usually, they'll only list what day someone appears. They said "beginning" for both Ashley and Winsor. No worries. You are excellent at this. I'm in awe and have so much appreciation for what you do!

None of these pictures are new. They are all from the 35th anniversary episode aired last year when he appeared as one of Brooke's "loves."

ARTICLE: Daytime Broadcast Ratings for the Week of November 20-24, 2023
With Thanksgiving in the mix, most daytime broadcast shows were coded as specialed or were preempted altogether on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24. As a result, the weekly averages for the bulk of daytime shows are based on just three days (Monday through Wednesday). NBC’s broadcast of the “National Dog Show” was the most-watched daytime broadcast program for the week, excluding NBC’s airing of “The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade” (22.0 million). The 11.5 million viewers said to have watched the dog show include both the NBC and Peacock broadcasts*, which was an improvement of +300,000 viewers over the same week last year and +140,000 viewers compared to the program’s performance in 2021. Several regularly scheduled daytime broadcast shows hit new season highs this week, including “The Price is Right” (3.968 million / 4.640 million), “The Young and the Restless” (3.463 million), “The Bold and the Beautiful” (2.888 million), “Let’s Make a Deal” (2.297 million / 2.705 million), “General Hospital” (2.089 million), “TODAY 3rd Hour” (2.208 million), “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” (1.703 million) and “NBC News Daily” (1.395 million). “The Young and the Restless” and “General Hospital” marked their best performances among Total Viewers since the week of June 26-30, 2023. In the all-important sales demographics, “The Young and the Restless” hit new season highs in unrounded Women 18-49 (0.39 rating) and unrounded Women 25-54 (0.57 rating). Among Total Viewers, the soap added another +120,000 people over its performance one week earlier and an even more impressive +380,000 viewers compared to the same week in 2020. This marks the second week in a row in which the series has added viewers over the prior week for a combined +288,000 viewer increase compared to the week of November 6-10, 2023. “The Bold and the Beautiful” added +26,000 viewers over the week ago period and an astounding +350,000 viewers compared to the same week three years earlier. Along with “The Young and the Restless,” the CBS soaps were the only daytime broadcast shows to see improvement over 2020 among Total Viewers. “NBC News Daily” saw the largest week-to-week uptick among Total Viewers (+345,000), marking a new season high for the news hour. The show also saw significant gains over its performance during the same week last year, adding +195,000 viewers to become the show’s best performance among Total Viewers since at least the week of September 26-30, 2022, per ratings records available to Soap Opera Network. Request Header or Cookie Too Large
I knew there was something wrong! I had also been getting this message and had the main site's hosting company look into it recently. Now that it looks like it also impacted the message boards as well, this tells me it's a broader issue since the site and the message boards are handled by separate companies on separate servers. Is this issue still happening, or has happened recently for anyone, particularly on the message boards? Is it just desktop or has it been seen on mobile as well?

ARTICLE: NBC Renews ‘Found’ and ‘The Irrational’ for Second Seasons
There’s nothing irrational about it: NBC has renewed dramas “Found” and “The Irrational” for second seasons. The decision makes perfect sense with “The Irrational” topping the charts as the season’s #1 new show in Total Viewers and “Found” being the #1 new drama in Adults 18-49. In fact, both the shows are the #1 and #2 broadcast series, respectively, in Total Viewers this season among black audiences. They are NBC’s top digital launches to date across all major platforms. “These shows are a testament to the incredibly passionate work of our showrunners Nkechi Okoro Carroll (‘Found’) and Arika Lisanne Mittman (‘The Irrational’), both of whom have executed their visions flawlessly,” said Lisa Katz, President, Scripted Content, NBCUniversal Entertainment. “A huge thank you to the talented cast, producers and crews for their tireless commitment and dedication, which has clearly paid off with audiences making these series must-see television on both NBC and next day on Peacock.” Starring Shanola Hampton, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Kelli Williams, Brett Dalton, Gabrielle Walsh, Arlen Escarpeta and Karan Oberoi, “Found” is a fictional drama based on real-life situations in which in any given year, more than 600,000 people are reported missing in the U.S. More than half that number are people of color that the country seems to forget about. Public relations specialist Gabi Mosely (series star and producer Shanola Hampton) — who was once herself one of those forgotten ones — and her crisis management team now make sure there is always someone looking out for the forgotten missing people. But unbeknownst to anyone, this everyday hero is hiding a chilling secret of her own. Airing Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and available to stream the next day on Peacock, “Found” will return for its final two episodes of the season on Tuesday, January 9, following the show’s final 2023 telecast on Tuesday, December 12. Nkechi Okoro Carroll, Sonay Hoffman, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman and Lindsay Dunn executive produce. Berlanti Productions and Rock My Soul Productions produces in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group. In “The Irrational,” a world-renowned professor of behavioral science, Alec Mercer (Jesse L. Martin), lends his unique expertise on an array of high-stakes cases involving governments, law enforcement and corporations. His insight and unconventional approach to understanding human behavior lead him and the team on a series of intense, unexpected journeys to solve illogical puzzles and perplexing mysteries. The series will resume with the final four episodes of its first season beginning Monday, January 29 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and will be available to stream the next day on Peacock. In addition to Martin, the cast includes Maahra Hill, Travina Springer, Molly Kunz, and Arash DeMaxi. Executive producers are Arika Lisanne Mittman, Mark Goffman, Sam Baum and David Frankel. The show is based on best-selling author Dan Ariely’s book, “Predictably Irrational.” The show is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
