Leslie and Neil are having dinner and talking.

Neil: How has it been with Roxanne?

Leslie: Its been tough. As I get to know her the more I find she is like me. Tough and strong minded. I’m glad to see that.

Neil: Good. It was really messed up how all of it came out. With Avery playing that video for Victor.

Leslie: Tell me about it. I’m not sure why Avery would do this to me. But I am going to find out. So tell me how are things with you and Harmony?

Neil: So so. We see each other once in awhile. I don’t think Harmony is looking for anything serious right now. With her new job at Chancellor.

Leslie: I see. I’d make time for you.

Neil looks at her caught off guard.

“Is that so?”

Leslie: We went on a few dates remember?

Neil: I do until my brother came back to town.

Les gets noticeably tense. Neil picks up on it.

Neil: So tell me, how are you and Malcolm?

Leslie: I just don’t think there is going to be a “me and Malcolm” any more. He’s losing himself. Drinking and out of control. And very insecure. I got so much going on in my life right now I’d expect him to be adult enough to understand and not think about his insecurities all the damn time.” As she takes a drink she looks over at the bar and sees Malcolm and Devon drinking.

“ Speak of the devil”

Neil: What do you mean?

Leslie: Your brother is here now and he’s drinking. I’m not sure how he is going to react to us having dinner like this.

Tucker gets a knock on his door, He opens it to see Keemo. Tucker tells him he appreciates him coming over on such a short notice and invites him in.

Keemo: What is this all about? On the phone you said you had a great offer for me.

Tucker: I do” He says motioning Keemo to sit down and then he proceeds to make them a drink. He speaks again

“McCall Unlimited is about to acquire some huge assets in the near future. My time will be split running two other companies. Now I read your resume and did some background checks and I understand you served for Jabot Asia for the last five years but there seems to be some type of mismanagement over there?

Keemo: You are thorough. It wasn’t mismanaged, that Glo by Jabot scandal hit the Asia markets hard. Asian companies and even a few governments banned our products. That’s all politics. I had nothing to do with it. But I can tell you I’ve worked tirelessly the last few years getting Jabot products back in Asian stores and sales were beginning slowly but rise in my last year there. Americans are not well received in places like China. So while dad may think I screwed things up, he had no idea what I had to do.

Tucker: I like that. And that’s why I think you are the perfect man for a job I got in mind for you.

Keemo: A job?

Tucker: More like a partnership. I’m going to expand McCall Untl. I want to make a foot print in Asian markets especially as Jabot continues to struggle and Newman is still falling apart since Victor’s been in jail. Plus you would be able to stick it to your old dad. I understand he doesn’t support you and your relationship with Gloria.

Keemo: No he doesn’t. He doesn’t show much respect for any of my choices at all. I think you are right Tucker. This job would be perfect.

Tucker: I’m glad you agree. You will be like my number two man. Though you will never be able to replace Sophia.

Keemo: Who is Sophia sir?

Tucker pauses before he answers as he has a brief moment of silence for Sophia.

“ A great friend of mine who is no longer with us. Listen I’ll call you up when I get these contracts printed up by my lawyers.” Keemo smiles and extends his hand to shake with Tuckers. Tucker does the same.

　

　

Chancellor Estate

Esther brings Kay some tea. Katherine asks her has she seen Murphy. Esther tells her she has not. Kay then asks Esther to sit down. Esther asks her boss what is the matter.

Kay: I wanted to speak to you about this, this…

Esther: My daughters affair with a married man. I know Mrs. C

Kay: I want you to know how bad this is making me feel. This is all so terrible. I told both those damn kids to stay away from each other.

Esther: I know, my Kate should have knew better.

Kay: I’m so torn. I love you Esther Valentine. I love Kate too. But the Newman’s have been friends of mine for a very long time. This affair has divided us all. That hurts my heart. I don’t know what to do.

Esther: I’m hurt to Mrs. C. I’ve known Victoria and Billy both since they were in cradles. But I won’t let the Newman’s get away with this. A child was taken away from Chloe.

Kay: Chloe had no business sleeping with a married mad. Simple as that.

Esther: We all make mistakes. I know they are your friends Mrs. C but I am going to protect my daughter even if that means from the Newman family.

Kay: I can understand that but I just wish this would die down and everyone would keep a cool head. This all needs to go away.

“I have an idea that might make that come true they” hear. They turn around and see Billy.

Victoria arrives at The Jail to meet with Avery and Victor.

Victor looks at Victoria as she walks up to the cell. He tells her how beautiful she is and that the doctors did a great job on her plastic surgery. Victoria thanks him. She tells him she is sorry that she could not be there for his trial but doesn’t know what kind of a difference she could have made.

Victor: Now you stop that. I’m going to be ok. This is only temporary. I got things rolling that will see me out of here soon. You just wait.

Victoria: So your getting out soon?

Victor: You just never mind that darling.

Avery arrives. Victoria asks her has she slept because it looks like she has not. Avery down plays that fact. She says she’s just been really busy.

Avery tells her that indeed Spencer Walsh has stepped down as the district attorney.

Victor: Well what the hell does that mean?

Avery: Spencer who had it out for the Newman’s wont be on this case. We will get a temporary replacement and then I know I can get these charges reduced to just assault.

So this will be all over with very soon.

Victor looks at Avery.

“Avery are you sure you’re ok? Something seems very off today about you.”

Avery: Yea, no I’m fine. I just been working from home a lot and things are so scattered, I’m scattered.

Victoria: Can you add a divorce to all of that?

Victor: Now I can die a happy man. Finally Billy Boy will no longer be a part of this family.

Avery: You’re ready to divorce Billy?

Victoria: Yes. Its time. I can’t do this any more.

　

Jack sits in his office and thinks about his son Keemo. He remembers learning Gloria was revealed to be his fiancée. Then he thinks about all the things Gloria did at Jabot namely Glo by Jabot incident. Jack is hurt by all the memories this is brining up for him about what happened with his dad and Gloria. Jack still kind of assigns blame to Gloria for his father’s heart attack. Now she’s engaged to his son and Jack vows to stop that union. He picks up the phone and calls him up. Keemo answers

Jack: Son I think we need to talk. You haven’t been to work in days. What’s going on?

Keemo: You don’t respect me or my choices. Why should I work for a man like that?

Jack: Because I’m your father and you got Abbott blood in you. This is your destiny.

Keemo: I don’t think that is going to happen.

Jack: What does that mean?

Keemo hesitates before he tells Jack he’s quit Jabot and joined forces with Tucker McCall.

　

　

The Club. Malcolm and Devon continues to talk and drink. Malcolm is getting woozy as he just begins to babble.

“ As I think of all the b.s. in my life it always go back to my punk ass brother Neil. The good guy. The Harvard Guy. He got everything growing up. What I get? Hand me downs from him. I lived in his shadow all my life Devon.

Devon: Malcolm I think you should get some help man. You been through a lot. It seems you haven’t properly healed after Sophia’s death.

Malcolm: Naw man. I don’t need no damn help. I feel like James Brown. I want some pay back. I’m mad. He’s taken everything from me and I’m tried of it. He took Sophia from me, my son Moses turned out to be his son. He kept Lily away from for over twenty years. He’s taken everything. I hate him Devon. I hate my brother!” Malcolm takes a sip of his drink as Devon says

“Neil loves you man. He has no ill feelings towards you.”

Malcolm: ‘Kuz Neil is so perfect huh? I’m just a drunken bum” He looks at Devon but out the corner of his eye something catches his attention. He focuses his eye on Leslie and Neil having dinner. Malcolm smiles

“You see what I mean? Now his bitch ass moving in on Leslie. He thinks he can always get what he wants.” Malcolm takes another drink.

Devon: Malcolm be cool man.

Malcolm gets up and walks over towards Neil.

Leslie looks up and sees an angry Malcolm walking over towards them

“Oh no!”

Neil looks at her.

“What’s the matter?” He turns around to see what she is looking at and he only sees a fist going to the side of his face. Then Malcolm towers over Neil as he chokes him hollering

“I’ll kill you Neil!!” Over and over again. Everyone is stunned.
