GET SB ON TV!!!

(EXT: Capwell Enterprises)

---CC sits at his desk, thinking about the conversation he had with Kelly at breakfast. He vows that Edmund Lavery will not destroy his family like he did his own. Kathleen buzzes him and informs him that Elizabeth is there for their meeting. He says to send her in and Elizabeth enters the office.

"Well, Mrs. Timmons. Good morning....."

"Good morning CC. I'm so sorry about that by the way...."

"You have nothing to be sorry for- you live your own life, make your own mistakes. Doesn't affect me in any way."

Elizabeth covers her disappointment by asking for her copies of the weekly reports and the files she asked for. He hands them to her and begins crunching the numbers with her. She becomes agitated by his business-like manner and finally, can take no more.

"How can you--- How can you sit in here, with me, and act as though nothing's happened?"

"I don't know what you're talking about...."

"Like hell you don't! Our confrontation at Kelly & Ashton's reception? Ringing any bells yet?"

"Oh....that. Haven't you said about all you had to say Elizabeth?"

"Yes, but you haven't. You haven't spoken a word about it. I think we need to talk about it, CC. Don't you want some answers? It was your child too....."

"How do I know that for sure?"

"My God, you're as cold as they are. How could you even say that to me? My father and Sophia- they're one thing. But you were there, CC. I shared things with you that I hadn't shared with any man before you or any man since you. You were my whole world..."

"And your sister's world too..."

Elizabeth is angered by his selective memory and CC tells her that he doesn't appreciate all of this being dredged up years later, after Sophia has passed and while he's still mourning her. Elizabeth admits that it wasn't an ideal time for it all to come out but she stops short of apologizing for it. She says for her, it's been a bit of a relief, after carrying the burden on her own two shoulders for years. If nothing else, at least now she knows someone else is sharing that burden with her. CC cannot understand why she would go through with it. Elizabeth once again recounts how she begged her father and even Sophia not to make her do it, but her cries fell on deaf ears. CC cannot believe that Sophia would hurt her own sister in such a way.

"Really? You know your view of her has become so clouded over the years- though you never were able to see her for what she was. Don't you get it CC? SHE was pregnant with a child she knew wasn't yours, but planned on passing off as such. The last thing she needed was her own sister, pregnant with your actual child. She was shrewd and calculating in those days, each move made with more precision than the next. She was a predator CC, and you were her prey. Only you were only too happy to fall into her web. I'm sorry, but that's the truth of the matter and after 40 years of living with her lies and manipulations, I thought you'd have realized that by now. But to do that, you'd have to admit you were wrong about her. And CC Capwell would never make such an admission. I went through Hell, HELL because of her, and I lost the one thing that was holding me together at the time- you. All at the hands of my own father and yes, My SISTER Sophia. And it hurt- boy, did it hurt.... Yet I look at you now and can't help but wonder if they did me a favor. Perhaps my judgement was clouded as you because when I was a girl, I thought you were the bravest man I'd ever known. But now, as a woman, I look at you and see the biggest coward I've met in my ENTIRE LIFE!!!"

Elizabeth storms out of the office, upset. CC ponders what she said and picks up a picture of he and Sophia and stares at it, tenderly stroking her face with his finger.

---Pamela stares at Sophia in sheer amazement. Sophia looks at her confused, still fishing for a reply.

"I'm sorry, but you haven't introduced yourself yet......do I know you?"

"Oh, no, I don't believe we've met. I'm ..... Addie. Addie Lowell, an old friend of your husband's. So nice to have finally met you, Loretta. Edmund's told me so much about you over the years."

"Loretta, darling, tell Christine I'd like to have dinner at 7 PM tonight and choose the menu if you would....."

"Oh, and do tell her to set an additional place for dinner. Edmund has invited me to join you, if that's alright with you."

"Of course." She looks at them. "I'll let the two of you catch up. Oh and Edmund- I'd like to do a bit of redecorating, if that's alright with you. It needs some sprucing up, a woman's touch, something painfully missing in my absence."

"Among many thing's I missed about having you around dear. That would be just fine with me."

"Again, nice to have met you Addie."

"Likewise" Pamela says.

Once they're alone, Pamela demands some answers from Edmund. Edmund asks her if she's impressed with his work, and says it was a true test having someone that Sophia once knew all too well meet Loretta. Pamela reminds him that she's not really Loretta but Edmund insists she very much is. He says's there's even a remarkable resemblence between the two women. Pamela still doesn't understand why he did what he did.

"Oh Pamela, sometimes I wonder if you even use that brain of yours. Did you honestly think that I was just doing all of this for you without there being anything in it for me? Surely you must have wondered...."

"I thought you had the same motivation I did: Revenge. Mine on Sophia, and yours on CC...."

"My wife is dead, Pamela, DEAD thanks to that man. Nothing Sophia did to you even remotely compares to that. But revenge, after the death of my love, my sweet, revenge is too cheap a price. What I wanted and what I've gotten is retribution. He took my wife from me and now I've done the same to him. Only this time, something good has come out of it.....no, something wonderful: Loretta."

Pamela still doesn't completely understand what he's done and asks him to explain. He tells her about his manipulating Sophia into hypnosis sessions, where he then took her memories and replaced them with that of Loretta. He also explains that he treated and eliminated her aneurism, but kept her in the dark about it. Pamela asks him how he can be so sure that her memories as Sophia won't return. He admits that he can't, but the longer she remains in that environment and away from her loved ones, the chances of her memory returning decrease. Pamela remembers again why she came to see him in the first place and informs him that Kelly and Ashton are planning a trip there, and even planning on staying with him. She wanted to warn him before anything happened, so he could figure out what to do with Sophia.

"Look around you Pamela- was the exterior of the house not enough for you? If ever there were a place where many people could stay and never see one another, THIS, this castle is it!"

(EXT: West Palm Beach, Florida- Airport)

----Mary, Mason, and Pearl wait in the line to check in at the airport. Mason laments his disappointment with how everything turned out, especially for Mary.

"I didn't get my hopes up, Mason, for this reason."

"No, but we couldn't have asked for a worse case scenario, could we? Not only do we find out that the baby died, but there's a good chance that it was OUR daughter, our little girl, not yours and Mark's."

Mary bows her head. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you."

"It's alright" she says. "It isn't your fault. It isn't anyone's fault. At least we have some answers now, some certainty. We can put it behind us, at least that part of it, now."

Mason concurs, however devastating those answers might be. Pearl apologizes for how things turned out and wishes aloud that there was something more they could have done. Mary grows frustrated at the long line and wanders off to the ladies room.

Mason tells Pearl he's trying to be strong for Mary. He also tells him he wants him to do everything in his power to track down Mark for him. Pearl notes that Mary seems to want to leave it alone but Mason insists that he can't.

As Mary is walking out of the ladies room, she feels a person grab her arm. She turns around and comes face to face with THIS PERSON!!!!

"What do you want? Who are you?"

"I have some information you've been looking for...."

"Who are you?"

"Maureen........Maureen McCormick?"

"McCormick?"

"Mark's mother....."

Mary stands frozen, shocked to realize who she is.

I am so in love with CC & Sophia's story. I keep forgetting to tell you that.

I love Charles Keating as the demented villian too. You write them all so well.

I love CC & Elizabeth's relationship too.

Oh had to come back and edit. I got so excited I forgot about the Addie Lowell reference. Love it.
