So the top 20 performers were chosen last night. Did you agree? I loved that Benji and his cousin were both in there. Hawk is so amazing and I felt like crying he couldn't stay due to his citizenship. Well, he should have known and made it clear, but what a joy to see him perform. I have my favorites. Here is the list of the top 20 and my favs that I remember.

Alison

Musa

Donyelle

Jaymz

My favorites are

Probably Ashlee and Ben will be the ones with the least votes. This is my first year to watch this show so it'll be my first to see what happens to the low vote catching couple.

I have five favorites, but I don't remember their names mostly....sorry.

The first couple Benji/Donyelle

The third couple

The fifth couple

The ninth couple Musa/Natalie (maybe they were 10th)

The tenth couple

And the Pasa Doble couple I forgot their number. Ivan../Martha (third I think)

Oh Jason and Alexsandra were beyond fantastic. I think they were really my most favorite.

I'll post an accurate list after the website is updated.

Tonight was fantastic. The judges were on, the audience was super and the performers gave it their all. Wish I had taped it now.

#1

Donyelle and Benji danced Hip-hop to "Too Much Booty in the Pants." The judges loved it and surprised by Benji's ability to nail the hip-hop.

#2

Ivan Koumaev and Allison danced Salsa. The judges were hard on the couple saying Ivan is lucky to have Allison as a partner.

#3

Jason & Aleksandra performed a contemporary routine. Judges thought they pulled it off.

#4

Jaymz and Jessica try a 70's Disco. Jaymz gave it excellent Travolta moves.

#5

Stanislav and Erin perform the Paso Doble. Excellent, strong and sexy performance.

#6

Dmitri and Joy perform Hip-hop. Mary was the only judge to same a nice thing...they all thought it was flat.

#7

Ryan and Heidi strutt out a Viennese Waltz. Mediocre reviews even from Mary who gave it 50/50.

#8

Ben and Ashlee do an 80's disco. The judges believe they will be low voter getters.

#9

Travis and Martha do Broadway. They were a power couple and Nigel say they are the couple to beat.

#10

Musa and Natalee performed a Mambo in perpetual sexy motion. They got really good reviews.

Three couples meet the cutting tonight on Fox.

My low choices are:

#2 Ivan and Alison

#6 Dimitri and Joy

#8 Ben and Ashlee

From what I gathered last night, they stay as coupled for a while. I'm not sure how long that is. At some point they will be judged individually. I think this is just weeding out the bottom half now. Maybe tonight's show will shed more light on that.

The bottom three couples:

#4

Jaymz and Jessica try a 70's Disco. Jaymz gave it excellent Travolta moves.

#5

Stanislav and Erin perform the Paso Doble. Excellent, strong and sexy performance.

#8

Ben and Ashlee do an 80's disco. The judges believe they will be low voter getters.

The bottom three girls performed their solo and Erin was voted off.

The bottom three boy performed their solo and Stanislav was voted off.

I was flabbergasted. Erin I see, but Sanislave was SO MUCH BETTER than Ben. I'd love to know the real reasoning behind his being chosen to stay except maybe the didn't want to break up a couple.

I really hated it.

But, I'm looking forward to next week.

    • I really hope you’re wrong. Dani Desperate Dupree being right will make her even more insufferable than she’s already been.
    • I know this board has very strong opinions about Scheffer's reign which run the gamut from brilliant to the nadir of the series.  I'm one of the fans. 2001 - 2005 are, imo, the second best years for the series. The first being Marland.  As The World Turns won Daytime Emmy Awards for Best Drama Series in '87 and '91. However, it wasn't until Scheffer came along that it won again...in '01 and '03. Plus it won for Best Writing Team in '01, '02, '04, and '05, an award it had never managed to win before and didn't again. When Scheffer left and Passanante was the main head writer (along with various other co-head writers) the show began to seriously tank. However, it wasn't just the writing. The budget was gone. The sets were made to be smaller or destroyed. There was all that weird hand held camera directing for a while. Scenes that were obviously shot in the hallway where the series was filmed. I think '06 - '10 is a roller coaster. There are some storylines I really enjoyed and some that were eye-rolling. Looking in the rearview mirror though, I can see that the actors, writers, directors, and crew were working their best with what money they had.
    • They are idiots! It seems crazy that Leslie is inserting herself so much into this investigation but everybody is falling into her traps. I find it to be an interesting back and forth and I'm still not completely sure who will win. I have a theory but I'm going to wait for more to develop before I say more. I feel like Haley has been more on the sidelines so I'm enjoying this new desperate streak she appears to be developing. I'm curious how it'll manifest overtime. I also agree with Dani that I am not convinced she's pregnant. I think she's trying to get pregnant but really just see's herself fading into the background and wants attention and validation from Dani and her family.
    • Thanks for sharing; the set, wow. Ten times better than the "penthouse" she lives in now (is that a surprise, though?).
    • I'd be happy to!

I just read the intro and first chapter and I'm already hooked. I know she had a co-author, but I can tell Kim is a firecracker and I'd love to have wine with her and talk sh!t haha. It makes reading the book pretty easy and entertaining. Intro - I had no idea she got a DUI! She shared 3 bottles of wine with a friend at dinner one night in LA, got in her car, was pulled over and thrown in jail overnight.  She admitted it wasn't her first time drinking and driving, but learned a valuable lesson that night. Out of the gate, she's not holding back or hiding anything. Chapter 1 - the announcement that GL was being cancelled. She was driving to Peapack and got a call from Bradley Cole who told her the news. First, that's BS that as one of the faces of GL, you hear the big news from a fellow co-star on your way to work. Granted, the "suits" were traveling to Peapack that day to tell the cast and crew, but still, seems icky. Ironically the news came on April Fools Day. Apparently that was the last day the network could decide whether to cancel or renew, but to Kim's point, couldn't they just pick the day before to avoid the callousness of the 'holiday'. Obviously a sad day in GL history. I thought it was funny, she said the one thing she thought of is "what would Susan Lucci do" in this situation, post-cancellation. And of course she said she'd "find something to hawk on the Home Shopping Network"  You all would know better than me, but part of the title of her book is "seven husbands" and in her intro, she uses Reva's full name: Reva Shayne-Lewis-Lewis-Spaulding-Lewis-Winslow-Cooper-Lewis-Lewis-O'Neill.  However, in the first chapter, she said Bradley Cole was "her 8th (or was it 9th?) husband". Well, Kim, that already contradicts the title of your book and your character's name you touted.
    • He also was following Holly May 22, 2025 per update (link to post) from @JAS0N47
    • I was incredibly moved by these scenes, especially Peter's performance. It felt so tender and real, especially when you remember Bo just got out of a years-long coma and wasn't going to be able to put up a front. You're reminded of how long these legends have populated the show when you have a 70 year old man grieving men who were almost 90 or 100, but Bo's response to Victor's death was a poignant reminder of how fresh these wounds are no matter your age. Normally these types of moments don't even make it in soap episodes in recent decades as they are seen as too boring. The more somber moments being balanced by Bo meeting his grandchildren was also lovely.  And the scene where Bo forgave Shawn may be the only time I've been in lock with Brandon Beemer's take on the part.  There's a certain element of suffocation with soaps, as shown here, when you remember so many of the kids are named after long dead relatives, or when they grew up, were paired with the kids of other longtime characters. That aspect always makes me yearn for new blood (new blood that doesn't suck, anyway), but there are other moments, like those with Bo, which make me appreciate all the history the show has.
    • A funny scene, Roger and Sonni go out to eat, at that place that had a colonial theme (I love when soaps have very specific places to eat..I hated the diners on GL, ATWT and AW) and this is just after Rog came back and Sonni hit the headlines and the waitress scremes.."Oh, Roger Thorpe, and YOUR...please dont' hurt me..." and they are all like, "Hey, were just hungry!" (most soaps now have someone go on a murder spree and the rest of the cast and extras look like they havent heard about it."
