Remember the real-life Runaway Bride?

According to People Magazine, Jennifer Wilbanks, the googly-eyed bride-to-be who ran away before her big wedding and lied about being kidnapped, isn't getting married. Fiance John Mason, who took her back after the fiasco, decided to end the relationship, saying it was better off if they didn't get married. The two even moved into a bigger home after they reunited.

Wilbanks has done her community service, and is almost done paying back the $15,000 she owed for police time spent looking for her. When asked how her life is now, she said other than her love life, "great."

I think he made a smart move!

Good God! We finally rid ourselves of this dumb, attention-craving !@#$%^&*], and now she's back in the public eye? Gross.

Good for him. I'm glad he dumped her @$$.

I'm glad to read this. However, she probably will still do her book. We all expected her to marry him and do the book deal to secure their future. Because it seemed like a hoax or publicity stunt just for the big bucks....and folks around here wondered which one of them would rat out the other.
