Especially when you consider that Taylor has now played Roman the longest. (Look, I have nothing against the man, but if he had to come back, it should have been as his former Chris Kositchek character! Even almost 30 years on, I still don't think of him as Roman Brady.)

Oh, same. He's never worked as Roman. Seems like a nice guy and all, but I would have replaced Taylor when they got Wayne back to play the hideous role of Alex North instead. And used old Roman and Marlena flashbacks!!!!!

Oh, that disaster was epic. Yeah, Wayne should have just returned as Roman. Maybe explain JT's Roman as Chris Kositchek with a mind-altering brain chip. (On this show, it would work. But then, how to explain the Bradys having been so dumb? LOL!)

Northrop's Roman should have moved into story with the Laura/Bill/Kate/Victor/Vivian crowd. They never played that group, especially Kate/Bill/Laura, to their full potential and it still grinds my gears.

Emmerdale Farm: Both after the fact, but the first I'll mention is the plane crash episodes, which work so beautifully as a separate piece of work all to itself. I'll always mourn of how much more mature and daring shows could be then. And then Jack Sugden's funeral, which I strongly believe is the absolute best funeral/memorial episode of a long time a character ever to be done on any soap opera.

I'd buy it. Drake was significantly taller than Wayne and Marlena never noticed Roman was an entire different man even though, um, they were married lol.

Very easily could have moved into the Laura/Kate/Victor crowd since he ended up with Kate anyway. You still could have used him in the Kristen/Tony/John/Marlena story too.

I also could have seen him, ego bruised, move onto a younger woman temporarily. Maybe Roman/Billie could have happened earlier if Lisa Rinna hadn't left. Would have been much more pliable with them two and potentially could have been more honest drama for Bo and Hope than the bottle storylines they got for the rest of JER's tenure.

You can't mention iconic moments and Emmerdale (Farm) without mentioning the moment when Kim stood over her dying husband Frank, took out her mirror and freshened up her makeup.
