I didnt have much hopes coming back from the break but this episode has been so messy in the best ways

Thoughts:

• Be careful, Tomas. Do not overstep your bounds with Bill. Slip-ups will not be tolerated, nor will entitlement.

• Ms Vanessa is sneaky and I love it. I adore her investigating things herself, especially where her housing inventory is concerned.

• So, Joey is involved in the plasma ring and is connected to Lia in some kind of way. How interesting.

• Uh-oh, Nicole... not who you were expecting, was it?

• I do hope that Ashley listens to Naomi in this case where Grayson is concerned.

• Okay now Grayson... standing up to Lia. But I would be careful. I doubt she is one that is to be messed with or threatened.

• It is sweet that Carlton remembered details, but it is also coming off as slightly concerning, because it comes off less genuine and more obsessive.

• That was a steely cold warning from Lia. And if it goes beyond her and now Joey, it does make me wonder who the impaler actually is.

• Once again, Katherine's mouth is going off where it really should not be going off. And not Bill making reference to Only Murders in the [Damn] Building.

• Oh, we have got a breakup letter for Joey. Interesting. I wonder who the mystery woman happens to be... and yes, Vanessa, you should be concerned. And Heather, huh? I wonder if Heather might pop up at some point in the not-so-distant future...?

• Ashley, I highly doubt you stealing meds is going to be the most important topic of things that the hospital has on its hands. Its chief of staff is the main issue. And leaving town?! Grayson, Lia has you shaken. Might be time to tell Ashley and Naomi a bit of what is going on... because this is just too much.

• Not Vanessa handing out chips to guests at the casino. 🤣 How hilarious. I love her so much.

• OH SH*T! NOT GRAYSON JUST DROPPING THE BOMB ABOUT JACOB'S UNDERCOVER MISSION! This is insane.

• Not Hayley being drunk off of her backside and Bill not being impressed by it. Yup. That is the child you married.

• Nice to see Katherine coming around to her mother dating. It is about damn time, too.

• Ashley, the hospital is the very last place you should be going to, especially if your boss is there.

• Grayson loves slamming his fists on doors! That, if anything, draws attention, instead of detracting from it.

Notes:

• Well, we hit the hiccup day, and, of course, Sandifer has to be saddled with the unfortunate breakdown. However, I would prefer it be them over someone else. Overall, the breakdown was not too bad today but there was a lot of room for improvement, despite some amazing movement in the story that happened.

• Post-production is amazing. The lighting is right where it should be and I hope they do not change it. This is how this soap should have looked since day one.

• Jen Jacob (Ashley) and Jordi Vilasuso (Grayson) did incredible work in their confrontation scenes today. Incredible.

Hayley really cracked me up today.

Carlton's obsession with Nicole and her family is concerning...

Agreed, today actually had movement and was entertaining.

-- I love Kat playing Nancy Drew. She's entertaining and just about always on the mark.

-- I have to laugh at Bill always letting Tomas know he's doing a terrible job or taking too much credit.

-- I did not buy Kat getting so gooey over seeing Nicole with Carlton. It's like they skipped over a dozen scenes where Nicole started to treat Kat (and not Eva) like her daughter and scenes where Kat was pleased her mother was dating again.

-- I'm glad this plasma story is finally moving, because MY GOD it is a mess.

-- Jacob and Grayson were beaten and stabbed and are so important to the plasma operation that they can "never gt out," yet we've seen them only exchanging a sandwich bag of blood on an elevator.

-- And why are Jacob and Grayson hobbling around? 😂🤣

-- I assume Randy followed Smitty and Jacob on Joey's orders. But why? To check on that sandwich bag exchange?

-- NOW Jacob wants to call is father for help?

-- Seems like Derek was right all along about Grayson.

-- It was HILARIOUS that Grayson showed up at Ashley's and just expected her to jump at going on the run with him.

-- Is Heather being added as a way to soften Joey as a character? No thanks. I really don't mind new characters, but there are SO many characters and storylines on BTG that are just hanging there, suspended in space. Maybe Heather can appear once a month like Donnell and Deanna and Tyrell and Samantha. I can think of a half dozen characters and families I want to know more about than I do about Joey.

Naomi can be sanctimonious (Like DOOL Horton level) sometimes so I was glad that Grayson shut her down with that comment about Jacob.

Carlton knows a little bit too much about Nicole. It's almost like he's been stalking her for years, but if plain sight.

Vanessa is too clingy and nosy. Asking Joey what the letter from his sister said was asking for too much.

Is it me or was Joey's phone call a clear misdirect re: Lia's boss? He calls someone and they cut to Lia on the phone, but we never see or hear either of them actually speaking to each other. The Impaler is someone else (I still bet Carlton).

I also do not care about Heather Armstrong unless she is prepared to drop a real dime on Joey.

Grayson's "I've been stabbed" walk is hilarious.

I'm really hoping Carlton is not the Impaler, but if he is, that would be a great twist and it would totally clear Nicole up for Kial.

I dont think Carlton is the Impaler based on his interactions with Lia. She is clearly his superior. I dont think she'd be talking down on him like she does if he were her boss in criminal activity. Kial likely makes more sense
