Brooke taking the high road is a contrived plot point:

  • Steffy will determine Hope was behind this - just like the coup - at least in rewritten version since they can't blame Ridge's brother Carter.

  • Steffy axes HFTF

  • Hope joins LOGAN and Brooke will have to be OK with it.

  • Brooke realizes she's been deluding herself that she's a Forrester equal, even though she's mother to two Forresters Rick/Bridget. Rick needs to be back to support his mother.

  • Brooke plots to dump Ridge Marone for Eric to lay claim to Forrester matriarch. Donna should be with Justin anyway.

I hope I'm seeing signs of early 90s Brooke. Plotting, conniving... playing the long game. If they rewrite this or forget about it in couple of weeks... it will be a huge disappointment. What (I think) Brooke is doing right now is manipulating Ridge into thinking that she's the good person versus Steffy as the evil b-tch. Now that she's pretending that she's okay with his decision... when Ridge asks Steffy to give Hope another chance and she disagrees... Brooke will be there to remind Ridge how he chose Steffy and gave her everything and how she is not giving him anything in return. In other ways - she's trying to turn Ridge against Steffy by making him believe that Steffy wants all of the control - even over Ridge... That's when she will strip to her underwear again and try it ONE MORE TIME to seduce him into giving her that position. IT'S classic Brooke Logan. We'll see.

I wish you were right, but I really have my doubts. I'm not seeing any sign that Brooke is doing anything but take Xanax by the handful and disrobe for Ridge. Her reaction to being rejected as co-Ceo was pitiful.

-- This show seems averse to juicy story. Every time it gets close to that with the fashion houses, Brad Bell pulls the rug and gives us a lame left turn.

-- Should we judge Hope For The Future by Hope's wardrobe? Because she looks like Hope From The Prairie.

-- As usual, the intro of new couture was hilarious. Eric's designs are nothing.

-- Was co-Ceo Steffy at the intro of new couture? No, she was having coffee with her mother. OK then.

-- Is Charlie back to play a role in some story, or is this a lame attempt at comic relief? Because watching him interrupt a meeting isn't funny at all.

-- LOGAN should close its doors. Katie hasn't had a designer in over a month, and now she's sitting in front of a laptop reading resumes. This woman is running a fashion house? 😂🤣

Hope saying Brooke chooses Ridge over anything and anyone? Has she lived under a rock? Brooke will always choose a man over herself and her daughters (Hope is the result of said choice..and even had a boyfriend sleep with her mom).

Does this soap have any other stories? I only see this Brooke/Ridge situation being focused on the few times I've checked out B & B.

Maybe Bradley should log into Tubi since season 1 of this soap is on there...maybe if he sees how his dad structured episodes, it might rub off on him.

Brooke is so goofy. Death, taxes and Brooke being Ridge’s doormat. Like you, I don’t think any of this is a fake out. No co-CEO for you!

And yeah, Hope should know how this goes by now. Your mom only cares about Ridge and throwing it around.

Good to know the first season of Bold is on Tubi. Brad should definitely get a refresher.

Anyway, where are Deacon/Sheila/Taylor?

The inconsistencies of the past two episodes, supposedly all meant to be on the same day. Steffy's hair yesterday was parted to the right. Today, it went from left to the middle and back to the right. And Hope's hair is less styled. It's lazy and a major continuity error.

Today's episode is likely pre-empted on the east coast, due to a CBS News Special Report.

Back on, but it's likely to be interrupted again.

Well, it was fun while it lasted.

My big worry was that at some point that Brad Bell would get bored of the awesome momentum he managed to get over the past several months. There was so much good going on. He even made the Logan vs Forrester stuff feel fresh...an issue I had a few months ago when after temp shifting the focus to the Spencers only to get back to the Forresters with stale plot. So Hope using Brooke to get Ridge to give her Steffy's job...been there, done that. Went nowhere. I was not here for even with the great acting from JMW's Steffy calling Ridge out.

I tried to overlook the repetitive dialogue being back. It happened a few times during the refreshed storylines, but the story kept moving. Now...it seems to be back in story build-up mode. So Electra and Dylan going in circles. Hope and Liam going in circles. Brooke and Hope going in circles. It made me get the uh oh.

The only thing that saved the week for me...besides shirtless Finn starting the week...was Steffy verbally going off on Ridge. JMW always, always, ALWAYS gives good bitca. This was no different, but I was on her side even though last week I was shaking my head at her for laughing in Hope's face. And also saving the week...Ridge telling Brooke NO. I was just as surprised as Brooke.

And of course...the Friday cliffhanger with Remy. I want to see where the story goes and see Deke so BRING IT.

Zende going off will always seem meta to me given how this show chooses to write its black characters.

Overall, I hope this current week was better, but it feels like my prediction of Brad Bell getting tired mid-May might be true.
