I'm addicted to the Nick story ... JM has really tapped into Nick's struggles - always the hero, the part that relates to Nikki, etc. The mood swing scenes have been so good.

RH has been a shockingly good scene partner for MS. Totally unexpected. It's like MS forgot all her ticks. It's been a minute since she's been able to show some nuance. The scenes where she had to play it coy and cool with Matt in the suite were intriguing. Obviously, Matt is irredeemable so this won't go anywhere.

I admit that I am bias but sometimes I do be curious about the storyline. It's just something different for Nick. And he's been overdue.

Well that's not unexpected to me. RH and MS worked together as Franco and OriginalNina on GH and from what I remember they were somewhat popular. JG would be crazy to not tap into some of that chemistry.

Irony: Jack has three women he could easily bed and, yet, he's alone. Not the Jack I grew up with. Just sayin'

This.

I remember that. They were creepy.

Phyllis and Matt definitely have chemistry and that is undeniable, but I hope they aren’t going in that direction. Matt is a rapist and a psychopath. Phyllis is a lot of things but it would be out of character and ridiculous for her to fall for him. Patty and Matt? Now that makes more sense given how unhinged and crazy they both are.

-- Matt's time on the show should be about up, but Griffith is such a terrible writer that we know Matt will be around longer than he should be. I'm already burned out on Matt Clark, so RH can go tomorrow.

-- Josh Morrow has ben doing really nice work, I agree -- his strongest in years. He's better than the writing in the addiction story, I know that.

-- Cane and Lily continue to be a highlight for me. BF and CK have really strong chemistry.

-- Shemar Moore's return kicked off a lot of story for other characters, but now we're left with not seeing Malcolm, the focus of all this story.

-- The Newman company fights with Phyllis are still a snore. I just don't care about any of it.

-- The show looks good and it feels like they're doing better with sets, but it's still not good.

BF and CK are so good together. He should have been a new character instead of Cane. The show won't even try to bring new characters anymore.

This is the whole reason I can’t connect to them when I watch. He did not need all of the Cane baggage to be a viable interest for Lily at all. And I honestly just feel insulted regularly that we’re supposed to believe Cane is now the same age as Lily and not Australian after all the years we suffered with Goddard. Like now Jill feels even dumber than before with believing Phillip was Cane as he’s like 20 years younger than real Phillip now.

Agree. They had the chance to introduce a much needed new character and went with a recast for a divisive character with years of bad back story.

Really don't see the point of making him Cane for all the reasons mentioned above. And that leaves the twins in limbo as there doesn't seem to be any interest in bringing them on due to the dumb SORAS of 2017. So the constant mentions just remind of that and their non presence.

Same for Roger Howarth. There was no reason for bringing back Matt from the dead. Mitch could have been a shady new character involved with Noah, again with no baggage, to be a threat to the Newmans.

They literally brushed off an onscreen death with a couple of nonsensical lines of dialogue.
