Didn't EJ know Owen Kent? I thought he had hired him to infiltrate the Kiriakis estate back in the day or something. The way he just said, "You must be the night watchman. I'm EJ DiMera" and went about his business confused me.

(I mean, everything on this show confuses me, but that struck me as a possible continuity error? But maybe they never actually met face-to-face.)

I don’t think EJ saw his face. Then Owen left the lab pretty quickly

Today was mostly a kidnapping day again.

But I’m not gonna lie, Stephanie was a little stupid with Owen. She should’ve tried to knock him unconscious or kicked him in the balls or something before she called the police 😂😂

I’m not really sure about Owen just deciding to give up and leave though. I mean, that’s it? If that’s how this whole thing is gonna end, then that feels like a letdown. He could’ve at least set it up for Jeremy and Stephanie to slowly die or something.

But I did like the way that the idea of finding Stephanie and Jeremy was built up throughout the episode, with Kayla, Steve, Rafe, Cat, etc. For the first time, I actually wasn’t against the idea of the kidnapping storyline being tied to the lab storyline. And I am interested in seeing what happens tomorrow, especially with the way that today ended.

Btw, where the hell is Alex?

As for Paulina, the acting was a little… ehhh today, but I do appreciate the fact that Jackee at least tried to not play it like such a campy clown. I like that Theo was there for her too.

Thanks for answering! I was listening more than watching tbh. It's still pretty stupid -- what is Owen's plan if the GUY WHO OWNS THIS LAB ever happens to drop by while he's on duty?!

One of the reasons why I thought that tying Owen and the kidnapping to the lab was a stupid choice 😂😂

But I admit, I did like the way it was all built up today. EJ’s plan is close to being exposed (even though I’m sure that it isn’t going to happen yet lol)

Bless her heart but Jackee has been mostly terrible since she joined, but has gotten worse.

Jackee makes the most OTT facial expressions. I mean, I lived through 90's John/Marlena. Days acting doesn't need to be subtle or even great, but I have no idea why JH makes such ridiculous faces when people are talking to her. Sometimes they are Susan level weird faces when everyone else in her scenes are acting relatively normal.

It's just Jackée being Jackée, and that's my issue with her. She is such a limited actor. I've always wanted to see Paulina written as a character and not Jackée living in Salem and to see someone else play the role.

It seems like she thinks Days is a comedy. Which, fair, girl, fair. It is sometimes. She makes the most exaggerated facial expressions when she was literally talking to HERSELF today about Abe and their marriage. There isn't a studio audience here Jackee!

I know. I wonder if it's a denture issue and it will work itself out once they settle or whatever. But acting with Theo in scenes, who makes fairly subdued character choices, was not a great look for her today.

Yesterday even Raven Bowens appeared to be confused by Jackee's choices.

I think it's because she excels in comedy series. But this is not a comedy. I'm honestly surprised she's stayed on the cast as long as she has. She always felt like a six-month type of hire.

I saw Jackee's interview with Greg/Rebecca Budig and it's the dentures. Maybe they're new and not a good fit just like Nancy Pelosi. I'm amazed at the number of actors (not just from daytime but some famous movie stars) who can't talk because they're teeth rotted and they have dentures. Get a cleaning every six months, water pic twice a day and brush and floss frequently! PS: I loved JH on Another World and as Mary in night time but the combo of those two character is really all she ever knew how to play.
