“Beyond the Gates” star Maurice P. Kerry (Randy Parker) will appear as a guest on the “We’re Out of Time” podcast hosted by Richard Taite, in an episode dropping Tuesday, March 31.
In the exclusive clip provided to Soap Opera Network, Kerry reveals that he has taped his first love scene on the daytime drama series, though he didn’t reveal who it was with. “There is something coming that we have shot, and I’m proud of it. I got to see the edit, and I’m proud of it. It’s still daytime, so it’s relatively clean, but I’m very happy.”
In a separate exclusive clip, Kerry discusses his desire for a “new girl” love interest on the show, saying, “I want them to write a new character for Randy’s love interest to be honest with you, because everybody on the show is sleeping with everybody, so I’m like, ‘Nah. Let’s get Randy a new girl.”
Considering the show’s tape-to-air schedule is roughly five months, while writing is just about six months from script to air, it was unclear at press time when the love scene would air, or when it was taped.
Kerry, who is a recurring player on the series, joined “Beyond the Gates” early in the show’s run, debuting in the third episode. The Atlanta native’s character is Hayley Lawson’s (Marquita Goings) cousin and an enforcer for mobster Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom).
