Famous for his dance steps on “Dancing with the Stars,” Maksim Chmerkovskiy is making his microdrama debut on Friday, February 27, with the release of “Wild Silence.”

The drama tells the story of Camilla (Alexandria Watts), a woman who attempts to make the ultimate life decision before she is saved by a wild, quiet man who keeps her in his remote forest cabin to teach her hard survival rules. As they face the wild and violent hunters, their intense bond is tested by his dark secrets and the choice to accept death or truly start a new life.

Chmerkovskiy plays the ruggedly handsome Jack, a silent loner hiding from his past. Unsure whether he is saving her or holding her captive, Camilla struggles to escape both the forest and the emotional darkness she carries within, shattered by loss and an abusive marriage. Meanwhile, Jack is a man who withdrew from the world after his wife’s death. Forced together by chance, they learn to survive — and slowly begin to heal. As trust turns into tension and passion, Camilla finds her strength, while Jack learns to feel again.

A HOLYWATER TECH IP–based series, “Wild Silence” is produced in collaboration with Alexander Kane, co-founder of Skyframe Films, and directed by Mila Pohrebynska, and can be viewed exclusively on the My Drama app beginning February 27.

“We’re genuinely excited about the release of ‘Wild Silence’ and proud to welcome Maksim Chmerkovskiy to My Drama,” said Bogdan Nesvit and Anatolii Kasianov, Co-Founders and Co-CEOs of HOLYWATER TECH. “His participation sends a clear signal that established talent can start building acting careers in vertical storytelling and see it as a serious, long-term format. Projects like this help us move vertical series into the mainstream — bringing premium content to audiences where they stream the most: on their phones. We’re excited to continue building My Drama as a home for high-profile creators and ambitious new stories.”

“’Wild Silence’ was an opportunity to step into a completely different kind of storytelling that is intimate, emotionally raw, and built for the way the majority of audiences are watching shows today,” said Chmerkovskiy. “This role challenged me in new ways as an actor, and I was drawn to the honesty of the story and the creative ambition behind My Drama. Vertical series are an exciting new frontier, and I’m proud to be part of a project that’s helping redefine what premium, mobile-first entertainment can be.”

“It’s different from most of the verticals I’ve done,” says Watts, who previously starred in the microdramas “Frozen Hearts and Fiery Love,” “The Love War Between My CEOs,” “The Reborn Wife’s Redemption” and “Alpha King’s Mistakes.” She adds, “This one was really nice… It ends up very sweet.”
