I'm intrigued by Anthony Lucente, not because of their previous writing credits.. but their previous career as a casting director. They were a casting director on the RHO Dallas in the first two seasons, and other reality shows in addition to the Hulu version of AMC as a writer.

My prediction is that he's the new AMC writer. He left to do something and it likely is a soap. If he were leaving to be HW somewhere we'd know the news by now. Susan Lucci mentioned on Kelly Ripa's podcast that she knows of the writer and has heard good things. Ron is a notable name she hasn't worked with so it would line up.

• Skyy Sandifer is now a scriptwriter; she joined as a script editor (first credit as credit editor was June 27, 2025; Michele Val Jean confirmed this in her recent Soapy interview)

• Ron Carlivati has been removed from the list of breakdown writers; his final script aired on January 14, 2026.

• Lynn Martin has been removed as scriptwriter; her final script aired on January 14, 2026.

Sandifer's final episode as script editor was January 16; her first episode as scriptwriter is January 23.
