The fact that I’m coming up with story ideas for Leo is making me kinda sad 😂😂😂

They are the first gay couple whose scenes I fast-forward..

Yes, and they weren't junk throwaway scenes for filler either. I hope that we're seeing an increase in episode presence for Kate and Philip coming up.

I don’t get why Kate can’t have both of her baby boys on canvas.

So, we finally saw that “dud” that was described in the promo. And unfortunately, it looked like that also described today as a whole 😂😂😂

Today was mostly centered around Brady/Kristen/Rachel, which I didn’t find all that interesting. The ship has still sailed for Bristen, even though I’m glad that they finally realize that their kid is awful and needs help. And as for Sophia, I guess we all know what she’s gonna try to do. And it seems very Ron-like. Sophia and Rachel teaming up seems Ron-like, in general.

I did enjoy Kristen’s scene at Peter’s bedside though. She brought up some good points today about Peter that I hope get explored in 2026. Peter’s return hasn’t been all that good, IMO, but if they continue on this path of Peter being so anti-Dimera, that might improve it a little.

And we got an update about Sydney. I wonder if her being so panicked about the kidnapping is going to mean something somewhere down the line.

I think part of the reason this Peter stuff hasn't landed is because his motives and goals are so murky. He's super anti-DiMera... so he goes and does the most typically DiMera thing (kidnapping and trying to kill his relatives in an unnecessarily convoluted manner). It's so flat and goofy.

I honestly wonder if we will ever get a reaction from Jack/Jen regarding Peter. I have a feeling that whole era might be ignored.

This is a small detail, but how are Rachel and Sophia allowed to be in the same ward? Sophia is an adult. Even if Bayview has a skeleton crew right now, you would think they'd separate the adults from the kids at least.

The biggest red flag for me was when Peter referenced EJ sleeping with Abigail and didn't acknowledge that she used to be his stepdaughter, that she's Jennifer's daughter, etc. They just breezed right by it. Even if they're not going to go there, a simple "Abigail was a good soul, so you must've manipulated her" would've been something. Not to mention that Peter is probably Jack's most significant non-familial antagonist ever -- a single line about "Thank god he's not able to hurt anyone right now" would go a long way.

They keep calling the unit that Rachel and Sophia are in "the adolescent unit," which... Rachel is 10 and Sophia is over 18, so that's not a thing! I get that they want them to interact, but it's silly. Of course, this is Bayview, which told Brady that he could hang Christmas lights in Rachel's room. Yeah, I'm sure those pose no safety threat at all in a psychiatric ward...

I had the same problem when old Rachel was revealed to be alive; she hated Stefano but was acting just like him.

But I do think Peter’s return and plan has more potential though. His motivation does make sense. It’s just the whole crypt thing wasn’t the right choice.

It would’ve been nice to at least have them say something in the episode when Chad was finally reunited with his kids.

But I do have to admit that I sometimes thought that, if Days ever did bring Peter back, Jack and Jennifer would have no involvement with him whatsoever. Which really stinks, even considering the circumstances. I guess it all goes back to whether or not Corday and Missy Reeves have an arrangement or something.

I clocked that too. I kept waiting for a line about Peter even knowing Abigail and it never happened.

Yes. I thought I was the only one confused about an adolescent wing. I wouldn't even question it much if Days didn't make a huge deal about Sophia being 18 for months.

Wasn't it very strongly rumored they did when she returned 25 years ago? It wouldn't surprise me, but you would think everyone would have moved on by now lol. Although considering Jen is very much a recurring player, I could see Days not feeling the need to even go down that road. Unfortunately, that's the biggest storyline Peter was tied to. I don't see a reason for Jack to not get a reaction to it. He could even be talking to Chad, Steve, JJ, etc. about it instead of Jen.

That’s what people have speculated about all this time: that part of the deal to get MR back in 2000 was basically to erase Peter Blake from existence, which really seems to have stuck since only the last few years. I don’t even remember him being mentioned when Eileen Davidson came back in 2012.

Maybe now, they just don’t even want to risk dredging up the past and possibly causing a problem on set, especially now that Jack and Jennifer are being used more than they were during Ron’s last few years. Which may be why MA’s Jack hasn’t had any reaction either.

Just my guess, even though I think it’s a huge missed opportunity

Right! A line from Jack to Steve would've made sense. This could also be more (semi-illogical but understandable) fuel for Jennifer and Jack with regards to the custody case. Chad was just kidnapped by someone who terrorized them for years. Why would they want Thomas and Charlotte exposed to that?

I might be dense, but I'm not understanding exactly what Peter's plan was. He wanted to eliminate the other DiMeras in order to... get revenge for being neglected? He didn't bother coming home for almost 30 years! And I know he's bitter that he did prison time for his crimes while "the other DiMeras get away with everything," but most of the people he kidnapped weren't criminals. Tony, Chad, and Theo are "good DiMeras." Kristen was LITERALLY IN PRISON for like the 15th time when he nabbed her. EJ's a bastard who has gotten away with a lot, yeah, but he was the last one abducted. Meanwhile, Stefan and Jake waltzed in out of the fog and had homes in that mansion and chances at the CEO spot within like a year. Peter could've had that if he had made a mild effort. It doesn't help that they haven't (I'm two days behind, so maybe this is a yet) explained where the hell he was for all this time.

I got the impression that he was hoping to finally put an end to that toxic Dimera legacy. He did mention Stefano was responsible for the death of his and Kristen’s biological father.

I actually was kinda hoping that Johnny would’ve tried to do something like that after he found out the truth about his conception. Not murder though lol

Yeah, it seemed like that, but the plan was so silly and muddled, and like we said above, he was... acting like a DiMera, just like his crazy mother was.

I had the same thought about Johnny. They could've fully made him an anti-DiMera.

I would’ve loved that.

They kinda dropped the ball with EJ and Johnny’s estrangement. They’re treating like it’s just the status quo, as opposed to actually getting good storyline and conflict out of it.

I still wouldn’t mind him trying to like sabotage the company or joining forces with Kate/Xander as a way of getting back at the Dimeras for everything they’ve done over the years.
