What a lousy opening scene.

And not just because I can't stand either character. Gwen tricking Leo into going off to look for Dimitri is a great opportunity to cause conflict for him and Javi, especially in the aftermath of them losing the baby. I don't get why Days isn't choosing to take it. I mean, why are they making Javi and Leo so happy? They should both be heartbroken right now, and Leo going off to search could've been the catalyst for Javi to cheat or leave him for like Mark or somebody. Javi's new haircut looks good though. And as much as I'd love to see Peter Porte again ๐Ÿ˜ it's definitely a good thing that Dimitri's (probably) not coming back.

Everything else was a little bit better. And I'm glad that Sarah is going to be ok. It was also nice to see Brady act like a parent, even though I think he needed to rage at his little demon a lot harder. Bro, your child is a monster. You don't have to be so nice ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

But now that Brady knows the truth about Rachel shooting EJ, I'm really interested in seeing what happens next. Btw, has there been any word on who was originally supposed to be EJ's shooter?

Marlena needing a temporary pacemaker seems a little random though. Like, where are they going with this? It's always good to see Marlena so front and center, but I really think they need to do a lot more in order to tie everything together under one big umbrella storyline.

The Mark Green return hasn't worked for me so far.

They're styling him like he's a Jonas Brother, and there's nothing about him that says "doctor."

He has never screamed Dr. (or potential assassin hired by Clyde lol) to me. The actor has always been a bit dopey in acting and appearance. But so is Aaron so that might be intentional.

On another note, I appreciate Marlena has something to do, but I find her being seriously ill after John's death depressing especially for her family. The show has done a good job using Marlena effectively without John and without this illness story, so I am not sure it's necessary. Obviously, I assume it's tied to a more sinister Dimera plot, but it hasn't really inched closer to things being connected yet.

-- I had to ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ when Marlena's blood pressure spiked and her heart numbers were off. Kayla ran out of the room...I mean, she RAN out of the room...to talk to the cardiologist. I was HOWLING!

-- Then she comes back in and says "You need a temporary pacemaker." HOWLING AGAIN ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

-- Javi and Leo declaring their deep love to each other means trouble is around the corner. What an anvil.

-- Brady tells Rachel she's not a bad person. Dude, yes, she is. Time to send that girl away to a sanitarium.

-- This show is still using summer time establishing shots all over the place. Talk about lazy.

It was mostly about the younger crowd today.

And, welcome to SJPR, Holly! I think Holly going to work for Stephanie is a good idea. It could lead to some interesting things happening and could also lead to her getting involved in more storylines across the canvas, instead of just being involved with Tate, Sophia and the rest of the younger crowd. It's a good use of the character.

And poor Tate is so dumb ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
I have mixed feelings about him not wanting Holly to find out that he's failing most of his classes. I don't see what could happen as a result of that. Why would Holly be upset with him? And I didn't know he was so proud either lol but I like that the younger crowd eventually came together for a Friendsgiving. They were really sweet and nerdy lol and they felt like an actual group of friends. All four actors work pretty well together. I feel like there's a natural chemistry between all of them. And I'm curious to see if Aaron asking Tate to go visit Sophia will lead to some good drama between Tate and Holly.

As for all the anvils that were dropped today about Stephanie and a baby, I'm all for it... I just hope it turns out not to be Alex's ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

And I'll always enjoy those sibling scenes between Brady and Belle, even though I thought Brady kind of ping-ponged back and forth between being intelligent and being stupid today. Belle being clued in that Rachel was the one who shot EJ could lead to something interesting happening. And I couldn't be happier that the doctor wants to send his little demon to Bayview ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

And yeah, I also think Tony is right; Rachel is better off without Kristen.

Good. They're boring ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Even if I liked them as a couple, I'd find them boring.
