Beginning Thursday, April 30, Crave will become the exclusive streaming home for all CTV programming in Canada, including “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Rookie,” among others.
According to an announcement on the network’s official website, CTV.ca, all shows will continue to air as scheduled across the various CTV-branded networks, but streaming access will now require a free Bell Media account to watch them online, exclusively via Crave. Bell Media is the parent company of CTV and Crave.
“As of April 30, ctv.ca content will only be available on Crave. Visit crave.ca today to continue watching for free,” read the important notice.
Current programming available to watch over-the-air on CTV-branded networks include “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Beyond the Gates,” “Will Trent,” “RJ Decker,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Tracker,” “9-1-1: Nashville,” “Sullivan’s Crossing,” “Boston Blue,” “The View,” “TMZ,” “TMZ Live,” “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” “Shark Tank,” “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” “The Floor” and “Live with Kelly and Mark,” among others.
Before announcing the change, viewers could stream CTV programming on CTV.ca or Crave after signing in with their Bell Media account. Now the shows will only be available to stream through Crave.
Earlier this year, Bell Media-owned E! landed broadcast rights to “Beyond the Gates” for viewers in the north, just a few months after the show was moved to another Bell property, CTV Drama Channel, with Crave landing the exclusive streaming rights. Fresh episodes of the daytime drama drop daily on E! beginning at 3:00 p.m.
