Nielsen announced on Tuesday that CBS’ broadcast of Sunday’s AFC Championship game between the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs was seen by 57.7 million viewers, making it the most-watched AFC title game since at least 1988, when the tracking service introduced its people meter system.

Among Adults 18-49, the AFC Championship game pulled in a 14.8 rating, representing 19.850 million viewers within the key sales demographic. Meanwhile, among Women 18-49, the game attracted an 11.6 rating, of which 7.772 million fell in the demo.

Overall, the game was the most-watched Conference Championship game since 2010 when 57.9 million viewers tuned into the Minnesota Vikings vs. New Orleans Saints NFC Championship game on FOX.

During the game, which concluded with the Chiefs taking home the AFC title against the Buffalo Bills (32-29), CBS aired a shortened version of the “Beyond the Gates” trailer, with viewers enticed to watch the extended cut online.

In the 15-second TV spot, the series continues to highlight the trials and tribulations of Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) as her ex-husband, Bill Hamilton (Timon Durrett), sets his future with his former mistress/fiancée Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings).

“CBS Daytime is about to get soapier,” reads the promo text, which concludes with a more confident Dani facing off with Hayley, telling her, “See you around the neighborhood.”

The series will also be available to stream Live and On Demand on Paramount+.
