I'm just happy that the new regime at least gets a year to try and sell their vision for the show.

I was wondering, what is behind them not trying to do a little more of an adult show, is it DAYS or Peacock or both? There doesn't seem to be much nudity or cursing on any of the shows on Peacock, or at least I'm not aware of any. Is that why DAYS doesn't go there, Peacock doesn't allow that for their shows in general?

I think it's partially due to it still being on-air in [some] places, plus, when they did nudity for A Very Salem Christmas, it was removed, as NBC didn't think it would have been well-received.

They seemed to push it a little more in 2023. Ron let all his pets have oral sex 😂😂😂

Peacock’s DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been picked up for its 61st season. The latest renewal for the venerable soap will take one of television’s most iconic and trailblazing drama series through another season.

The renewal comes on the eve of “Day of Days,” the annual fan event at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles being held on Saturday, November 2, where the show’s 60th season will be celebrated.

Peacock is the exclusive home of DAYS OF OUR LIVES, making it the ultimate destination for daytime fans to access the past season and new episodes every weekday. The series has consistently been a top 10 title since its exclusive move to Peacock in 2022. On December 2, DAYS will reach its 15,000th episode.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES is produced by Corday Productions Inc. in association with Sony Pictures Television.

The complimentary event has some exciting surprises lined up in honor of the milestone season and will offer fans the opportunity to meet their favorite cast members in person, participate in autograph signings, pose in photo opps featuring backdrops from the series and much more throughout the day. For as much as I complain about Days, I would miss it if it was gone.  I'm happy for the cast and crew.

This means DAYS will at least have survived four years on streaming and considering almost everyone thought this was just a way to dump the show before cancellation that's pretty good. I'd assume the biggest danger to it being cancelled at this point is Peacock folding/merging with another streamer and it doesn't fit with the new vision.

With that said, considering how much these streamers pay for eight episode series, DAYS producing so many episodes for a fraction of that sum and drawing people into the app on a daily basis must seem pretty good.

Agreed all around. My biggest concern for Days, given this renewal, is that Peacock will go to hell and Days will disappear with it. Otherwise, it HAS to be valuable that this cheap show gets this many people to open the app every single day.

I just checked Peacock and Days is trending at #8 today.

Is it losing money, though? Everywhere I have looked, I've seen that subscriptions have gone up with recent streaming events.
