According to the network, the third hour will take viewers deeper into the most important headlines of the day, as well as pop culture, entertainment, health, wellness and financial news. “CBS Mornings” co-host Tony Dokoupil will continue in his role during the flagship broadcast while joining Adriana Diaz as co-hosts for the third hour. Dokoupil and Diaz will drive in-depth interviews and original reporting on major news stories each day during the new live hour.

I'll be interested to see how this effects programming in Los Angeles.

Most daytime shows in LA play an hour earlier than on the East Coast.  So, Y&R is at 11:30, followed by B&B at 12:30, and The Talk at 1pm.  With Let's Make a Deal at 9 (where the new 3rd hour of CBS Mornings will go) and Price is Right at 10.

Given that PIR is one of the top-rated CBS daytime shows, I doubt it will move from 10am.  But, I wonder what this means for DEAL, and in the future, for The Gates?  If it pushes everything back an hour, The Gates will go against GH at 2pm, which seems like a bad idea.

Agreed. Currently, "CBS Mornings" is carried twice on KCBS (CBS2) in Los Angeles, first simulcasting the East Coast broadcast from 4:00-6:00 a.m., and then again from 7:00-9:00 a.m. with the local news airing from 5:00-6:00 a.m.

I've sent an inquiry. Will update when I have more.
