My first guess was either Mia or Melanie, both exes of Chad, but probably too young to have a kid F-Abby's age, given Sydney's relative age.

Although Melanie could've been kidnapped after her visit to Salem last year and given plastic surgery, Clyde could've captured Carly, and that could be why they keep bringing up Daniel's car crash.

Then I thought it could be a relative of Chad's bio-mother, Madeline.

And finally I realized how many characters related to Chad have names that begin with M.

My immediate theory is that it is a fake-out and Fiona is going to confess to drinking, rather than the accident.  But, the promo has done its job by making me anticipate next week.

I would also bet that Dr. Rolf has some cure for Sarah, that they will leverage to free Brady.  In fact, I'd bet having to watch a full episode of Body&Soul that Sarah will be walking by Thanksgiving.

Melanie hasn't been in Salem since 2016.

But yeah, Mia and Melanie are in the same age group as Chad, Will, Gabi, and Abby, so it wouldn't make sense for either to be the mysterious mother. I also don't think it would make sense for Melanie (who was on perfectly good terms with Chad last time she saw him) to do something this insane when she also has a grandmother, aunt, and sister in town. And she would be more familiar with the players involved.

I still wonder if there's a way the mother will turn out to be Konstantin's daughter, given that John was randomly connected to this whole thing by being found in the Poplar Bluff "apartment."

Yes, I was thinking of Chelsea.  I recall the actress dyed her hair, so it was confusing.

Any way, I agree that it is either Konnie's daughter, or some prior campy older female character that we haven't seen for a while, given RonC's love of nostalgia.

My newest bet is Diana.  She may have met Clyde in prison, and he has some information that could get her free.  Which would explain why Mark can't get together with Leo.  And that one day stint over the summer may have been foreshadowing a return.  She's also connected to John.  I don't know how she lived between her marriage to Leo's father and her return to Salem.  But, she could've had some other kids.

And giving Leo a family would drive the fans nuts.

    • I don't think they were the biggest factor, but I do think there's a specific style to Dano's work that wasn't helped by how pointless her character often felt (and later on the various writers clearly saw the character as a joke).
    • I think Evie came in mid 1976 after Rita broke up with Tim because she realized she was leading him on.  And Evie became upset with Rita because she didn't tell her that she had previously dated Tim before she came to town.
    • Please stop, you were wrong, and you know it, now you're trying to back pedal. You even got called out by the DAYS actors/actresses on Twitter for that sh*t. It was disgusting and vile and IMO the family should have taken action against you It was clear the general public did not know about his illness and it was NOT your place to "spill the beans" just because you run a Facebook group, period! TBH IMO @Errol should have banned you ages ago Donna
    • Who went bowling? JFP & Anna? Is there any more to this?
    • Another character driven show with interconnecting plots that make sense. I like that we go from one character, like Sarah, learning that EJ wants to buy the hospital, casually mentioning it to Xander who now has that intel. The only down today was not seeing Steve and Shawn breaking into the lab. I wonder if Dr Poofy Hair will inform EJ about Xander's call. I loved Abe talking to Chanel about losing Isaac and giving her comfort. And helping her voice her fears about Johnny. Kayla standing up to EJ is great. Kayla, freed from Ron, has been great. I am loving all her air time. And Sarah telling her that EJ must be up to something if he wants the hospital is very smart. She would probably clue in to the sepsis research being the big thing if she wasn't choking to death. I assume Felicity messed up the scones and dropped in cleaning fluid or something. Sarah said it tasted weird. They are never getting that honeymoon, are they? Xander has no clue what job Johnny can do. Johnny knows this too. Xander wants to legitimize his takeover by hiring a Dimera. Johnny wants to stick it to EJ. The honesty is refreshing. I want to like Cat and Chad but they are just so awkward. And none of their scenes work for me. Marlena and EJ was very good. I like her wanting to help him but also scared to death for Belle. Makes perfect sense that she is conflicted. I also liked her softly asking Johnny if he needed her to stay once EJ walked in. Ron never cared about this relationship either, but now she is acting like his granny.
    • Sorry, catching up, and the bolded part, yes! Should have been sued by DH's family for that nasty sh*t too   Anywho, back to the show, Kristina is freaking nuts, she needs to be committed ASAP
    • Angry Dante was hot; sorry, but I'm not going to pretend it wasn't awesome seeing Dominic Zamprogna act his ass off in a way that was not crying.
    • Thanks, interesting and so believable (no Lonatrat or Clones...)Instead of the Lewis family he should have made the Oil family Granger...even if the audience didn't remember that one off character it would have been interesting to tie it into the fictional GL world.
    • Dante needs stick removed from his butt
