All things being equal, didn't Nicole kidnap Jude from Sloan outside the bakery in January for longer (and further) than Theresa had Victoria?

I'm just saying, kidnapping seems like the least of her crimes in comparison to the fraud she committed over the will.

Also, was the show shorter than usual today? It felt incredibly quick.

I feel like the show just kept harping on the kidnapping like it was her worst crime.  I don't know how changing the will would be prosecuted.  She didn't actually gain much from it, but I am sure it's a serious crime.

And, yes, Nicole had Jude for hours longer than Theresa's five minute jaunt with Victoria.  Eric and Sloan just didn't press charges.

Theresa also didn't change the will. She forged a letter, which wasn't a legal or legally notarized document, by changing the signature on it. It's stupid that the interpretation of Victor's will was left non-specific and up to the contents of that letter, also...

Whether or Not the Conspiracy is Successful Does Not Matter

If a prosecutor can prove that two or more persons agree to commit a crime, and they attempt at least one overt act, then these people can be charged with the crime of conspiracy. Even if the step, or overt act, taken to go forward with the conspiracy plan fails, the persons could be prosecuted for conspiracy because a conspiracy case does not depend on whether or not the persons actually complete the intended result.

Giddens back as breakdown writer as of today's episode

Ugghhhh

Hopefully, we get less stupid crap and unfunny jokes. The last episode that he worked on wasn't as bad as some of his others.

And with any luck, he followed Ron out the door.

Also, shouldn't Marlena get in trouble regarding Bobby/Everett?  Everyone thinks he committed suicide and she was the one who released him from Bayview.   That's a pretty big screw up on her part.

Yes 😂😂

I've always said they should do a storyline where Marlena's license is in jeopardy, and everyone has to band together to help her get it back

Plus, she can't be charged in Salem for anything that happened in Greece. So, they just got her on the kidnapping charges, though I guess it's possible that a good lawyer could get her off.

Didn't they already do that story?  Marlena's license was in jeopardy after the devil Possession PT.2  and she got fired and then Kayla quit in protest.  Then they hired Craig, and he was all "Marlena's fine" and she got re-hired.  It was during the Leo/Craig debacle so I understand you blocking it out.😂

Oh yeah, I did forget 😂

But now I'm remembering it as just being some stupid little plot point; I wanted to them do a full on storyline

Yes, it was one of those stories that seemed like it had potential and was going somewhere.  Alas, it didn't.  I don't know why it was wrapped up so easily because it actually was something for Marlena to do besides get kidnapped.

Probably because it was more for Leo than anyone else.

Probably.  It was one of those Ron stories that seemed okay and was a good idea and it was just dropped.  You already know, but it was just one of those lost storyline threads that happen all the time on Days.

Yeah, they rushed through that "story" real fast. Craig was so mean and evil, and poor Marlena lost her job at the hospital for two days before being reinstated. They could've made an actual interesting arc of that!

@j swift -- They addressed that the conspiracy was committed in Greece rather than on U.S. soil, and since nothing actually happened, they didn't even think Greece would extradite Theresa. So at least they paid lip service to it!

Ha! Ha! Greece is too lazy to extradite Theresa and I am not sure anyone cares enough in the US to pursue charges so basically Xander is a one man show trying to get Theresa in jail.  I feel like Alex would be much more concerned about getting an annulment at this point.

I would love to see a trial just to see a judge be like, "...and none of you got a DNA test? You just... took this handwritten letter at its word??"

Looking back, Shawn-D was never arrested for illegally traveling with a gun and shooting Bo last year.  So, I assume Greece has become lawless since Lindsay Lohan's nightclub failed.

You know, the fact that the show is spending this much time on Theresa's legal woes, even if it's off-screen, tells me that she's more than likely going to spend some time behind bars. How much time though... who knows? If she really was going to get off any legal charges, it would've happened by now. I highly doubt she's going to be tried for the fraud charges, especially with Konstantin now dead, so the prosecutor would be focusing more on the kidnapping charges. Then again, I won't be surprised if she ends up spending several years behind bars either since I don't see the writers ever bringing her back in the near future or ever.
