The annual General Hospital Fan Club Weekend, returning for what promises to be a fun-filled weekend, is scheduled to take place at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Los Angeles Glendale in Glendale, CA, from Friday, August 2 to Sunday, August 4, 2024.

This year’s festivities include a multitude of events featuring cast members from the popular ABC daytime drama series as they meet and greet some of their biggest fans.

The event lineup is expected to be the best ever, with stars such as Maurice Benard, Bradford Anderson, Kirsten Storms, Donnell Turner, Tajh Bellow, Maura West, Tabyana Ali, Evan Hofer, Cynthia Watros, Jon Lindstrom, Michael Easton, Josh Swickard and Dominic Zamaprogna, among others, hosting events. At the same time, the main cast luncheon will see additional members from the show’s current cast appearing, while the past cast event marks the return of several familiar faces.

Speaking of the past cast event, fan club weekend hostess Debbie Morris, who has overseen the fan club for more than 45 years, recently announced that this year’s gathering of actors who’ve previously appeared in Port Charles will mark the final time organizers will host the event.

“I have given this a lot of thought and have decided this will be the last time the GHFC will ever host this event due to many circumstances,” Morris said on Instagram earlier this week. “All I can say is get your ticket to this one soon, as tickets are limited.” Traditionally, the past cast event has occurred every five years, with this year’s event being a rare exception, as last year’s actor strike impacted cast attendance.

Friday, August 2

“A Stroll Down Memory Lane” (Past Cast Event) will take place on Friday, August 2 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. PT with the likes of Cari Shayne (ex-Karen Wexler), Lesli Kay (ex-Lois Cerullo), Michael Sutton (ex-Stone Cates) and Chad Brannon (Zander Smith) currently scheduled to attend, along with numerous surprise guests set to appear. Tickets can be purchased at the door if available. You can also email [email protected] for the most up-to-date ticket information.

In addition to the past cast event, at least four other events will take place on Friday, August 2, both in the morning and mid-to-late afternoon.

Current cast members Bradford Anderson and Lisa LoCicero will host an event from 8:00-10:00 a.m. PT, followed by Tabyana Ali and Evan Hofer from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. PT. Later, Tajh Bellow and Donnell Turner will host a joint event from 1:00-3:00 p.m. PT, followed by an event featuring Jon Lindstrom, Alley Mills and Jeff Kober from 3:30-6:00 p.m. PT. Tickets to each event can be purchased at the door if available. You can also email [email protected] for the most up-to-date ticket information.

Saturday, August 3

The General Hospital Main Cast Luncheon will take place on Saturday, August 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. PT. Sadly, platinum and gold tickets are sold out, but there’s still room for those who want to attend. You can also email [email protected] for the most up-to-date ticket information.

Cynthia Watros and Maura West will host a joint event from 3:30-5:30 p.m. PT. Then, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. PT, Maurice Benard will feature a conversation with Bryan Craig during a live edition of his popular YouTube series, “State of Mind with Maurice Benard.” Joshua Benard, Maurice’s real-life son, is also set to appear.

Two separate events will close out the night, one hosted by Michael Easton and Josh Swickard from 8:30-10:30 p.m. PT and the other hosted by Dominic Zamprogna from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. PT.

Tickets can be purchased at the door if available. Email [email protected] for the most up-to-date ticket information for Benard and Zamprogna’s event, and contact [email protected] for the most up-to-date ticket information for the Watros/West and Easton/Swickard events.

Sunday, August 4

After having to reschedule an event appearance due to a scheduling conflict, Josh Kelly will be joining Kirsten Storms for an early morning event on Sunday, August 4, which will take place from 8:00-10:00 a.m. PT.

Kin Shriner and Carolyn Hennesy will host a joint event from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. PT. This will be followed by an event hosted by Rena Sofer and Amanda Setton, scheduled from 1:00-3:00 p.m. PT.

Things get a little tricky starting at 3:30 p.m. PT as there are two events currently scheduled on top of each other, one with Kelly Monaco and the other with Nancy Lee Grahn. The latter is being hosted off-site at the Acapulco Restaurant & Cantina down the street from the Embassy Suites Hotel, while the former will take place within the hotel. Additionally, while Monaco’s event is set to run until 6:30 p.m. PT, Grahn’s event ends at 5:30 p.m. PT.

Closing out the weekend will be an event featuring former “General Hospital” cast member Greg Vaughan (ex-Lucky Spencer; now on “Days of our Lives”) friends, including former cast members Ignacio Serriccho (ex-) and Ted King (ex-Luis/Lorenzo Alcachar). Their event will take place from 7:00-9:00 p.m. PT.

Tickets can be purchased at the door if available. Email  [email protected] for the most up-to-date Kelly/Storms event ticket information. You can contact [email protected] for the most up-to-date ticket information for the Sofer/Setton and Monaco events and Greg Vaughan and Friends. Meanwhile, NancyLeeGrahn.com features the most current information on her event. You can also email [email protected]. Similarly, for ticketing information for the Shriner/Hennesy event, email [email protected].

    • The Anna/Jason symbiotic relationship is the one that sticks out to me.  They went way out of their way to tell us & show us that they really think they get each other. Basically they have INSISTED that they are somehow perfect partners. Plus, in Africa they treated us to a "Are We About To Die?" kiss. Meanwhile they have worked & overworked the idea that they were  NOT going there of course because to Jason she is & always will be Robin's mother. Okay, geeze, fine, use time, space & dialog to push a variety of different messages, some of which seem to us to clash! We're just the fans, being told what to think. Don't mind us at all when we grumble. If Robin were watching this show, I can only imagine the "Letters to the Editor"!!!
    • I wish the Black male characters felt more fleshed out (and I’m not talking about gross 2000s-style man pain like with Jonathan Randall or Billy Abbott). I feel like we don’t have as much access to their interior worlds, which—fine—female genre. Right now, the balance on BTG feels off to me gender-wise, mostly because there are a lot of Dupree daughters (Chelsea, Naomi, Dani, Nicole, Kat, possibly Eva) and only one son (Martin). Feel free to disagree. I think Andre, Bill, and Martin feel closest to male “main characters” to me (Jacob had his quick moment), in that they can drive a scene from their POV and not as a supporting character. I’m waiting for the secrets to be fully revealed so that the men can show more layers. But things like having two cheating husbands stand out more in this type of environment.
    • I'll get back to you when Jordan appears on screen. Lol!
    • Don't feel bad: most do. I know it's in the "less than" category of opinions. And lunch? What's for lunch today?

Definitely am improvement overall, hah. I want someone to call him "bastard". Ha. Maybe I should sneak into Port Charles for a second.
    • A very underrated writer/director, IMO.  Of course, not all of his films were successful or memorable, but the ones that are - "Kramer," "Places in the Heart," "Nobody's Fool," etc. - are masterpieces.
    • I tend to ignore the fact you like Tanisha Harper.  She just blends in.  When she comes on screen I literally mind drift and think what I want for lunch. Melgar's Lily at least iconically blew up!!!  And once you know she's going to explode LM is tolerable in rewatch. It's coming!!  Half the young people in town call him "Uncle Sonny" or, well, "Dad" lol.  You know Emma's going to be on that bandwagon.
    • Jennifer Brooks had insisted that life go on since all her family knew that death might be eminent for her. Brock had given them a philosophy by which to live. "God grant me the serenity to accept that which I cannot change, the courage to change that which I am able and the wisdom to know the difference." Lorie asked her father to let her give a big party for the family and friends to celebrate her parents' thirtieth wedding an-niversary. He disapproved until Lorie said this was not a reminder of how little time there was, but a celebration of the life they had had together. Jennifer was pleased and looked forward to the party.  That evening, Stuart gave Jennifer her anniversary gift before the party rather than after. It was a diamond heart pendant to symbolize the heart he gave her long ago — his own. Lance and Lorie gave them a trip to Paris as a gift. Stuart had wanted to take Jennifer away, but she wouldn't leave the girls with their problems. The party was such a success that Jennifer told Stuart that this had been the most wonderful night of her life. Jennifer slipped away in Stuart's arms that night, clutching her pendant.  Stuart called Lorie who located all her sisters and asked them to meet at their parents'. He explained that their mother felt no pain and was happy as she passed peacefully away. Peggy felt she should have been home for her mother rather than visiting a friend, but Stuart said it was sudden. Lorie blamed herself for giving the party which was probably too much. Stuart told her how much that party meant to Jennifer. Brock came by to tell them that Jennifer had him draw up instructions for her burial and wanted only her family with her. He also had a letter for Stuart. She wrote him this love letter in case she didn't have the opportunity to tell him in person how much their life together had meant to her and this is why she wanted him to remarry.  Snapper visited his mother after he learned of Jennifer's death. He felt he hadn't seen enough of her recently.  After the funeral, Peggy told her sisters that she would not be going away to school. She was the only one left to care for their father because Chris and Lorie had husbands and Leslie had a career. Stuart insisted that Peggy finish packing and catch her plane to school as planned.  Chris was worried about her father after Snapper told her to keep an eye on him because grieving husbands could become ill as they didn't remember to eat. She called to insist that she was coming over to fix his dinner and found that Liz was there. Liz asked him for an extra key so that she could do the laundry and cleaning to repay him for earlier kindnesses.
    • I would assume "friends of Ripa" would come into play.

    • I'm aware of that but I was more curious about which characters were going to be included and what actors they were loooking at.
