ARTICLE: NBC Renews ‘Found’ and ‘The Irrational’ for Second Seasons

There’s nothing irrational about it: NBC has renewed dramas “Found” and “The Irrational” for second seasons. The decision makes perfect sense with “The Irrational” topping the charts as the season’s #1 new show in Total Viewers and “Found” being the #1 new drama in Adults 18-49. In fact, both the shows are the #1 and #2 broadcast series, respectively, in Total Viewers this season among black audiences. They are NBC’s top digital launches to date across all major platforms.

Starring Shanola Hampton, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Kelli Williams, Brett Dalton, Gabrielle Walsh, Arlen Escarpeta and Karan Oberoi, “Found” is a fictional drama based on real-life situations in which in any given year, more than 600,000 people are reported missing in the U.S. More than half that number are people of color that the country seems to forget about. Public relations specialist Gabi Mosely (series star and producer Shanola Hampton) — who was once herself one of those forgotten ones — and her crisis management team now make sure there is always someone looking out for the forgotten missing people. But unbeknownst to anyone, this everyday hero is hiding a chilling secret of her own.

Airing Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and available to stream the next day on Peacock, “Found” will return for its final two episodes of the season on Tuesday, January 9, following the show’s final 2023 telecast on Tuesday, December 12.

In “The Irrational,” a world-renowned professor of behavioral science, Alec Mercer (Jesse L. Martin), lends his unique expertise on an array of high-stakes cases involving governments, law enforcement and corporations. His insight and unconventional approach to understanding human behavior lead him and the team on a series of intense, unexpected journeys to solve illogical puzzles and perplexing mysteries. 

The series will resume with the final four episodes of its first season beginning Monday, January 29 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.  

In addition to Martin, the cast includes Maahra Hill, Travina Springer, Molly Kunz, and Arash DeMaxi. Executive producers are Arika Lisanne Mittman, Mark Goffman, Sam Baum and David Frankel. The show is based on best-selling author Dan Ariely’s book, “Predictably Irrational.”

The show is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
