During the week of November 13-17, 2023, the most current week in which daytime broadcast ratings were available at press time, CBS’ “The Talk” hit a new season high among Total Viewers, averaging 1.373 million viewers, according to Live+Same Day figures released by Nielsen. The show was up +22,000 viewers compared to the previous week.

For the week, “The Talk” tied ABC’s “GMA3: What You Need to Know” among viewers to rank 11th among all 13 daytime broadcast shows tracked by Nielsen. So far this season, “The Talk” ranks as the third most-watched daytime talk show across broadcast and syndicated television programming, only behind number one “The View” on ABC and number two ranked syndicated talker “Live with Kelly and Mark.”

Among Women 18-49, “The Talk” tied its season high with a 0.20 rating, while in Women 25-54, the show averaged a 0.27 rating, marking its second-best performance this season in the demographic. The show beat “GMA3” and “NBC News Daily” in both ratings categories. In fact, “The Talk” averaged 130,000 viewers among Women 18-49 compared to 102,000 for “GMA3” and 87,000 for “NBC News Daily.” Among Women 25-54 Viewers, “The Talk” averaged 165,000 compared with 153,000 for “GMA3” and 138,000 for “NBC News Daily.”

The Monday, November 13 telecast of “The Talk”  was the show’s most-watched single episode for the week, with 1.42 million viewers tuning in, and featured CBS News contributor Lisa Ling as a guest to discuss “Psychedelic Renaissance,” her three-part series that was to be shown on “CBS Mornings.” The episode was also the show’s most-watched overall since the Tuesday, May 2 telecast, which featured actress Patricia Clarkson and actor Cristo Fernandez.

“The Talk” is hosted by Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell and Sheryl Underwood.

Starting with Season 14, Rob Crabbe took over as executive producer/showrunner. He served in a similar capacity while at “The Late Late Show with James Corden” which ended its eight-season run in April.

Ed Horwitz and Ianthe Jones are co-executive producers for “The Talk.”

    • I honestly don't care if Laura is friends with Sonny.  She's been friends with him for decades.  The way she goes about the friendship is stupid.   She has no sense of self-preservation or awareness about the optics of parading her friendship with Sonny around town.  She practically celebrates it.  There's no reason in the world she can't just keep the friendship low key and explain they share a grandchild and frame the relationship that way.  A lot of Laura's choices, like getting into a public fight with Dalton, just make her look silly and like a fairly incompetent mayor. Carly is another PC lady that's starting to look silly.  I know she's explained her plan a lot, but it's still stupid and moving at a glacial pace.  If Joss is 45 by the time her revenge plot unfolds, what's the point?  Just dump Brennen and move on please.
    • On that same note, it's astounding to have mobster Sonny in the same office with Mayor Laura chatting it up about their mutual grandson. Think about the reaction if John Gotti and Mayor Eric Adams had a friendship

?? I guess the Logic behind Sonny & Jason acceptance is like when i saw a documentary where FBI agents said they'd rather deal with the mafia than terrorists or cartels---they're the "lesser of 3 evils". Anyway I'm about 30 years late on this convo.
    • Im confused. Does Jessica know anything about June's relation to Tyrell? At the start of the episode, it seemed like June was gonna slip that he was her son but she caught herself but later in the episode she referred to him as "my boy" and Jessica had no reaction like that wasnt a surprise to her No, Anita was putting money in the account every 6 months but we werent told how much was in it when Leslie became a beneficiary. The show has set it up that it was multiplying based off the interest so that its really worth quite alot now. I dont buy it but thats what they've told us
    • What was the point in Lori's return as Mrs. Max Hollister? That little story never made much sense to me.  Were there plans for a permanent return? Or even a new family with her as the matriarch?
    • I guess it depends on your device.  I can watch CW shows via their website on my Windows PC.
    • Ooooo A Liam episode? I'll watch it later today. They sure are churning the daily episodes out early.

    • Welcome back, Shawn Douglas! It's been a while. It really is too bad that the writers don't really have an interest in the character because there are still a lot of ways that he can be used effectively on the canvas. He should have been a part of the 60th anniversary celebrations as well. If anything, just to represent Bo and Hope. And I'd much rather see Jada paired with him than possibly with Theo. But I enjoyed him getting caught up with Belle, and comforting her. I'm sure they'll find their way back to each other at some point but I do like them as divorced friends. I just hope we see it play out onscreen. Belle being a dick about Sami again was unnecessary though. And we finally saw Liam again!  I'm curious to see how this storyline is going to play out, and who's going to be weaved into it. He and Abe do work well together too. And we learned that he has a kid. Hopefully, we'll learn more about his character in the future. But I'm not really sure about Johnny and Chanel suddenly having problems with raising Trey. They've wanted a baby for so long, so I don't understand why this is even an issue. They should know by now what it's like to raise a baby. But I did enjoy Johnny's scenes with EJ, and that Johnny still hasn't refused to forgive him. This storyline was/is very clunky, but having the two of them be at odds is the right decision. There's so much story potential that can be drawn from that. As for Chad... there was no time for us to see his reunion with Will, but there's time for us to see him talking BS with Leo? I don't get it. And I don't get all this random dating app stuff either. Leo and Javi were boring af too. If we're forced to endure them, can they at least have some real conflict? The two of them losing the baby was the perfect opportunity for it.
