I’ve made sign in required for the poll, and made it so people can only vote once. Since apparently there’s been some controversy about spamming on the polls. I myself have noticed it from mainly the Steffy and Hope fandom🙃

Thank you for that link!! This is the GH website I use to catch myself up with characters and their relationships/family ties. Also LOL that they even track these characters astrological signs.
Gosh, so Bailey Lu is the granddaughter of AMC's own Alex Devane! Interesting. I then went down the rabbit hole on that site and am realizing GH turned Alex into a villain and she's dead, which kind of upsets me, but I'll get over it haha.

Yes, it’s commonly referred to as the Hughes Family theme or Nancy & Chris’s theme, which is how it’s labeled on Charles Paul’s album of his themes and character themes from various soaps. It originated on the organ in the 50s and was still heard, in orchestrated form, as late as 1979. I would imagine it was scrapped when the show was “modernized.”

I'm so terribly sorry, I really am. I never understood the whole "white guilt" thing, but the fact that Tyler Perry succeeds and a lot of other African-American talent don't - that are undoubtedly more creative, imaginative and possibly David Lynchian - makes me feel a bit guilty. Yet I can't stop watching this absolute trash garbage piece of [!@#$%^&*] show.
It's awful and I feel ashamed. Like my mom loves to say - it is what it is.

LOL at your 1999 review. I've got to say, I'm in March and so far I'm not loving it. Not F territory yet, but maybe C- for me... but there is more to go.

The early days of FOX, UPN and The WB are perfect examples of Hollywood's relationship with "urban" audiences. They always need us in the beginning to help establish their brands. Then, once they're financially solvent, they can't WAIT to ankle us and chase after more upscale, white audiences.

Sisters Discussion Thread

Watching a rerun of "Alice" this morning, it struck me: Diane Ladd, who played Belle Adderley #2 on "Sisters," also played Belle Dupree on "Alice" (after originally playing Flo in the movie "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore," upon which the sitcom was based). Furthermore, both "Sisters" and "Alice" were/are WB-produced shows (and maybe taped on the same lot?). Coincidence? Probably, lol.

I absolutely agree. Plus, let's be honest, had Valarie Pettiford come on as a new role, there would have been backlash, and some would even say, "She should have been cast in X role". And I agree; she turned the role into much more of an ongoing recurrence, which I like.
