On March 25, 2023, “Days of our Lives” alum and “All American” star Lamon Archey married girlfriend Kristen Terry to become Mr. and Mrs. Archey, nearly two months after the couple announced their engagement.

“Mr. & Mrs. Archey,” read a message on Archey’s Instagram page which included several beautiful shots of the happy couple captured by photographer Remo Fioroni.

Ironically, Archey had prior experience with weddings that helped him prepare for his own. On “Days of our Lives,” his character, Eli Grant, married Lani Price (played by Sal Stowers) in 2020, and during the current fifth season of The CW’s “All American,” his character, D’Angelo Carter, wed Grace James (played by Karimah Westbrook). In fact, in a behind-the-scenes video posted on Instagram recently, the actor revealed he learned to do the Cupid shuffle for the first time (watch the clip below).

“I love you husband,” wrote Terry on Instagram. “Who would’ve thought…his physical therapy appointment in my sports recovery clinic in August 2019 would’ve led to the most amazing day of our lives. Special thanks to our amazing live strings musicians @twotownsent, @mckennafolmar our wedding planner, and BIG thanks to my family and friends who traveled far from the East Coast, Midwest, and Canada ! And to my bff @kristina7denton for helping me make it magical.

“With a wedding, so much could go wrong and nervous systems could be activated. But somehow through the grace of God, this special day could not have been more FLAWLESS and absolute PERFECTION. I thank God and the Universe for making this one of the happiest days of my life and my husbands. I’ve never seen this man more happy.”

The event was held at The Garland in North Hollywood, CA, with guests told to wear all black to the formal event. No exceptions.

The happy couple received several congratulatory messages from Lamon’s former daytime co-stars and colleagues, including Paul Telfer, Martha Madison, Stephen Nichols, Brandon Barash, Lucas Adams, Victoria Konefal, Kristian Alfonso, Linsey Godfrey, Stacy Haiduk, Robert Scott Wilson and Tina Huang, among others. Additional congratulations came from Daniel Goddard (“The Young and the Restless”), Gregory Zarian (“General Hospital”), Gilles Marini (“Days of our Lives”), Lawrence Saint-Victor (“The Bold and the Beautiful”), Brock Kelly (“Days of our Lives”) and Redaric Williams (“The Young and the Restless”), to name a few.

Photos from the ceremony can be found below.

    • Philip, like Reva, were characters that should have remained in the 80s and never been bought back to the soap.
    • I was just going through the vault and watching some random episodes from 2001, then 2006. Sigh. What a different show it was back then. It makes me so sad that it’s barely a shell of its former self. It was always so multigenerational. There were compelling stories for all generations without having to sacrifice anything to make it work.
    • We are exactly the same. Ashland Locke at least had potential until JG decided to ruin that as he’s known to do with just about everything. It’s clear Sony and CBS don’t give a [!@#$%^&*].
    • Considering Naomi/Jacob are helping with June... and that she and Jacob have a complicated history with Hayley.. there is more soap opera potential having June and Hayley being related.    This is the downside of the show having one huge extended family... anyone not related to the family are boxed in a corner (i.e. Ashley/Derek, Tomas, Hayley/Bill).   If this were a 30 minute soap, I could understand the one family focus.. but this an hour soap so we best be getting a second family and/or characters not connected to the Duprees unless through work/romantic.. etc.
    • That guy also abused Beth (the one Lizzie killed), which the show probably should have done more with rather than just giving her a split personality and having her do whatever the plot demanded.
    • Thanks @slick jones I should mention that someone on the comments for the Ryan's Hope video with Susan Marie Snyder said the episode must have aired in July 1985. Those photos of Denise Alexander are lovely. The one with Denise, Leslie Charleson and Susan Brown got me emotional. We were so lucky to have them for so long.
    • It's just an absolute mess, and at this point, I genuinely do not know if anyone could turn the ship around. It feels like we're too far gone from what would be familiar for this soap. Genuinely.
    • It’s pretty much become the anti-soap. Bascially the show has rolled back to where it was in 2021, where absolutely zero drama occurred and actually I don’t recall anything memorable occurring at all. Substitute Dumas for Ashland Locke and it’s the same thing all over again. At least we have no strange creepy story about Abby this around I suppose?
    • It's far too much slow, smoked-flame. It's bad soap telling. SO bad.
    • And then, to finish up the story: Phillip returned to Springfield several years later to clear his good(-ish) name in some ridiculous retcon that is best left forgotten...Beth couldn't accept that Phillip had returned to his family against her wishes, so she divorced him, went wacko and hooked up with jerk whom their grade school-aged daughter later offed...Rick married and divorced Annie in Chicago, I think, and did some other stuff that I tuned out of (on account of being disgusted with the show) before he realized he couldn't get arrested in Hollywood and came back...and AFAIK, Neil Everest stayed dead, but his daughter did not; and in fact, she went on to become a trailblazing, multiple Grammy-winning artist under the name "Billie Eilish."
