June 27, 20232 yr Author Administrator Rachel was my choice for Lois, so I'm happy with that. Never seen David act but he looks the part.
November 21, 20232 yr Member I'm not into superhero films, but Nicholas Hoult can do no wrong. One of the best of his generation.
December 18, 20241 yr Member From Rachel Brosnahan's IG story https://www.instagram.com/stories/rachelbrosnahan/3525819277157885791/ Teaser Trailer tomorrow!!!
December 19, 20241 yr Member Look, I'll admit: DC/Marvel and that whole world is not for me, but I grew up with Christopher Reeve's Superman, so this definitely is giving me those vibes, even though the CGI is a bit too much for me. David Corenswet feels right for the role to me, and I am actually semi-excited about this film's debut. It may just get me back into the comic universe of film. And I appreciate the trailer being in 4K!
December 20, 20241 yr Author Administrator Can't wait to see more of David and Rachel together. Praying this is good because Superman has always been my #1 along with Batman. Batman has been very successful while Superman has been crapped on for decades by critics and most people. I personally loved Superman Returns and enjoyed Man Of Steel.
December 20, 20241 yr Member Toups I think Gunn nailed all of it! I saw Nathan Fillion in there as Green Lantern/Guy Garnder too! and Krytpo OMG he's so cute! Nicholas is gonna be a perfect Lex, he's giving shades of Rosenbaum in the trailer SUPERMAN IS BACK! The boy scout, nerdy awkward Clark is back in movies! The TV Shows got it right for decades, but the movies never could and it looks like they finally did! Rachel and David's chemistry seems to be on point too!
December 20, 20241 yr Member It was largely DC/WB’s own fault as to why the Superman IP was devalued and the character lost relevance with a whole generation of consumers. Even in the comics, which no one buys anymore, a Batman title is almost always guaranteed to sell and top the sales charts, but Superman hasn’t had a successful comic run in like over a decade. That’s in contrast to Marvel where their marquee Spider-Man, X-Men, and Avengers titles remain consistent enough sellers and have never fallen as drastically. This is a start of a new cinematic universe for DC, a lot is riding on getting this right and not only resuscitating this character to masses, but their entire canon outside of Batman.

Interesting, is it because they were always basically sh*tting on the character? Cause from what I've read over the years the comic writers don't seem to like him or Lois at all
