Webmaster Errol Posted May 5, 2022 Webmaster Share Posted May 5, 2022 “The Bold and the Beautiful” today received eight nominations for “The 49th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” marking its 16th nomination overall in the category of Outstanding Daytime Drama Series since the series debuted on March 23, 1987. Original cast member John McCook is nominated in the category of Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series: Actor for his role as Eric Forrester on the soap. This is his fourth nomination in the category (previously nominated in 2001, 2012, and 2018). Photo by Gilles Toucas Returning to the series in 2021 as Sheila Carter, actress Kimberlin Brown received her second-ever nomination in the category of Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Daytime Drama Series: Actress. She was previously nominated for playing the same character in 1993 on “The Young and the Restless.” Receiving his first-ever Daytime Emmy Award nomination, Aaron D. Spears is nominated in the category of Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Daytime Drama Series: Actor for his role as Justin Barber. The same can be said for actor Ted King who is nominated for Outstanding Guest Performance in a Daytime Drama Series for his role as Jack Finnegan. Despite appearing on multiple soaps throughout his career, including “Another World,” “Loving” and “General Hospital,” King has never before been nominated for a Daytime Emmy. Naomi Matsuda is nominated for the first time ever for her portrayal of Dr. Li Finnegan. She’s up against Ted King in the Outstanding Guest Performance in a Daytime Drama Series category. Outstanding Multiple Camera Editing and Outstanding Hairstyling wrap up the nominations “B&B” received today. Representing the show for Drama Series are executive producer Bradley Bell (also serving as the show’s head writer); Edward Scott and Casey Kasprzyk, Supervising Producers; Cynthia J. Popp and Mark Pinciotti, Producers; and Ann Willmott, Line Producer. The Multiple Camera Editing team consists of Anthony Pascarelli, Senior Editor; Marc Beruti, Supervising Editor, and Bob Tan, Editor. This marks the 16th nomination in this category with three previous wins in 1997, 2008, and 2014. Hairstyling is represented by Lisa Long, Head Hairstylist, Danielle Spencer, Lauren Salas, and Stephanie Paugh, Hairstylists.
