ARTICLE: ‘The Talk’ Co-Host Akbar Gbajabiamila Heads Back to ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’

Akbar Gbajabiamila is returning to CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful,” CBS announced on Thursday.

“The Talk” co-host will reprise his role as “Max,” a Forrester Creations executive. He returns to the role on the Friday, March 4 episode (originally set for Thursday, March 3 prior to today’s preemption) and will share scenes with Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester) and Krista Allen (Dr. Taylor Hayes).

Discussing his first go at acting on “The Talk” last month, Gbajabiamila said of the experience, “I came in there nervous as heck.” He added, “Thorsten came in and said we’ve got this…We went in the break room and just rehearsed it…then Lawrence [Saint-Victor; Carter] came in and they were so chill about it…then, we went into the makeup room [rehearsed more]. Before you know it, they had me comfortable. And then we just went in there, and I did that one scene, on take one, and I was like, oh my gosh, I think I can do this!”

Commenting on how excited he was at the prospect of coming back to the daytime drama series after co-host Natalie Morales asked Kaye if the show would consider bringing Gbajabiamila back as a regular, the first-time actor said, “Oh yes! Sign me up!” Earlier Kaye responded to Morales, stating, “I don’t know regular, let’s take it easy…we would like to have you back sometime.”
