Réal Andrews, Marcus Taggert, General Hospital, GH, #GH, GH ABC

After being forced to take time off due to a bout with COVID, actor Réal Andrews announced this morning that he’ll soon be back on “General Hospital” as Marcus Taggert.

“Taggert is Back…” wrote Andrews, indicating that fans will be able to see the actor back in the role in the near future. He posted a short clip with the character’s name appearing on a heavily covered piece of paper but did not reveal a return airdate.

During his absence, the role of Taggert had been played by Asante Jones, including an appearance on the Friday, February 11 episode.

Prior to joining “General Hospital” in 1996, Andrews made his daytime debut playing Danny Guerra on “Santa Barbara.” He later joined the cast of the short-lived syndicated action series “Soldier of Fortune, Inc.” The actor also played roles in “As The World Turns,” “All My Children,” “Days of our Lives” and “The Bay.”

From 1998-1999, Andrews appeared as Taggert in the “General Hospital” spinoff series, “Port Charles.”
