This Flo stuff seems a little forced to me. If so much time hadn't passed, I'd find that storyline a lot more believable.

Despite everything, I still find Vinny's love for Thomas quite admirable. I've always liked the character of Vinny and I hope he sticks around after all the secrets come out.

And I am really looking forward to seeing Liam get his ass handed to him

They really haven't gone there yet in that storyline.

I’ve been banging the drum for Phyllis vs. Sally from the jump. As others have said, they feel more evenly matched than Summer vs. Sally. (Many of us wanted Courtney Hope as a Summer recast if Hunter King wasn’t open to returning.) Courtney sorta wakes MS up out of the shticky stupor too.

And anything that moves Stafford closer to the man she *actually* has chemistry with, Peter Bergman, is a good move.

It’s sad that the stories are so shallow these days, as I’d love to see how Ashley and Traci mix it up with Sally. Sally’s just a generically ambitious schemer right now. We’ve not had a scene with Sally as evocative as young Jill admiring Katherine’s things in the Chancellor mansion.

Agree with everything you said. Flo and Wyatt haven’t been given anything to do at all since the show returned aside from that Shauna/Quinn hissy fit and the dumb Y&R crossover. I almost felt that Thudley forgot that the pair even existed and they were on the way out lol.

But yeah I am still hoping that Finn knocks out Liam just like Devon did with Nate lol.

That would be fun for Ashley & Traci to mix it up with Sally. Unfortunately that would take a miracle for JG’s writing to occur.

BTW that Sharon spoiler is disgusting.

THIS.

That said...though I am still behind Sally comes across like how Amber came across when she was on Y&R...except I like Sally better. You hit it on the head...generic. And Sally was many things, but generic was not one of them. She wouldn't had needed Theo to give her bread crumbs...she would have found them herself. Or staged something. Or she really would be following her ambition more. So I just don't feel JG is living up to her potential. B&B at least had that going before they dived into Flo.

    • I'm good with the gushing, too. There aren't many soap icons like John Black, and that's important to celebrate and remember. And yes, life does go on for other characters, but as they say, timing is everything. Going sky diving the day before the funeral? And during a week of shows that were so powerful emotionally? No.
    • No. There might have been a slight pause for dramatic effect after his "death," but pretty soon after they showed him in France getting plastic surgery and getting involved with his doctor, then planning with her to bring Christina to France. (She thought he had good reason to do it; she wasn't a bad person or anything). Now that I think of it, there must have been some kind of pause before that, during the 70s, because when Rita was accused of killing a patient when she lived in Texas, part of the backstory was that Roger had been there, too. Not sure exactly when or how long that was.
    • Thank you. She’s disgusting.
    • I've already stated that I don't like Doug being written as this meek and submissive. It was so lame watching him leave her like that. Vanessa can divorce him, but she then needs to get her thot ass into therapy. She's not only having sex with every guy she runs into, but is now having  sex with a skeevy perv on a poker table. I'm going to give the BTG some credit here. For months, many on this board were delighting in the Vanessa/Joey flirting and what they saw as chemistry. I think we're now seeing what the writers always intended -- that Joey is a disgusting POS wannabe mobster.
    • John Black actually was the ultimate good guy soap hero. So I don’t mind the town gushing over him. It’s deserved.
    • Be glad it wasn't a Perry production.

    • The whole town gushing over John Black as if he was a saint is eye rolling.  I guess death really colors people's memories over his many flaws, but I guess that is normal and human nature. I'm still confused as to why Leo hasn't been written out.  The actor stank up two soaps with his sub par acting, what does he have on TPTB's to remain on these soaps.   What's the point of Cat?  I hope the new head-writers figure out her purpose and develop her character. And I much prefer scenes not focusing on John's death because life does go on for the world when someone passes.
