Members SteveFrame
I thought at one time that Nikki knew something but just didn't want to tell anyone, but after the cabin scenes and Nikki and Tess on the run, I am fully convinced that she doesn't now. Like you said it would have made more sense. Nikki's purpose after the cabin scenes seemed to be to fight to learn the secret so that she could keep Vicki hidden. She said it had to be something Vicki couldn't handle and that she would go into hiding forever and let Nikki stay in control. But Nikki had to learn the secret first in order for it to work. Well we got the one or two bar scenes where Nikki was getting close and then Clint came in and told her he loved her. Either Nikki's desire to find the truth was the plan for awhile and Higley was told to abandon it. Or Nikki's appearance at the bar was a plot point to get Clint to admit that. Either way that was several weeks ago and neither event have been revisited since. Nikki is not fighting to get at the truth anymore, while Vicki is getting closer. And Clint and Vicki have not talked about that conversation anymore.
Members SlezaksOLTL
It does get more confusing as this DID reveal goes along. Seems to be that there are so many loose ties, there is no way to connect the dots and get the whole picture. I really as a viewer need to know why Niki was out all those years ago, why she was dragging Jess along when we all know Niki would never have done that, she would have left the kid at home alone and gone off on her own. And why did Tess come out recently? Did Tico Santi or Mitch rape her? Did something else happen between Antonio and Jessica we don't know of? And why is Niki so hell bent on finding the secret? Does Niki really think she can get rid of Viki so easily? That Clint confession of his love for Viki when getting her back from Niki, why haven't they had any sort of discussion on that? It seemed such a big deal to me, something that was a huge bit of information. Did Viki hear him, does she know how she was able to fight her way back from Niki? At least at New Years when Clint kissed Viki back Viki knew of it and she got a wee bit emberrassed with also a bit of something, something about him having some sort of power over her. Why aren't we gettting any follow through with all the Clint and Viki tidbits we have gotten along the way. Even what happened with Viki and Clint at the Palace lunch when Dorian burst in rudely and asked him out on a date right in front of Viki. Where is the follow through? That is the problem with Higley's writting for me in general, there is never follow through, never mind her pacing is way too slow. But all these Viki and Clint issues need to be addressed, especially since it would be so interesting to know how Viki is feeling after all these confessions from Clint. Janet G. Members Bree
I don't know if Higley gave DID to Jess because she was Viki's daughter but if so, that's pretty lame. DID is not inherited. A person who suffers from it will not pass it on to their children. Jessica has suffered enough trauma in her life that she didn't need a new story of being molested. Baby Megan's death, Tico, Stephen, Mitch, and being forced by the writers to sleep with Antonio---that's enough to have someone create 100 alters. There was already story there. But you know new writers---they have to create their own characters and their own story instead of using history.
