A telenovela(soap opera) that will debut on January 15th on Univision. I bring this topic up because the soap will feature a gay male couple as part of its main characters.

That's great to hear! Is the telenovela world ready for two gay main characters, I wonder?

Telenovelas did have a few gay characters in minor roles. One finding love at the end of the novela but if you blinked you'd miss it. This is the first time a gay couple with be central characters to a telenovela. Part of their story will be trying to adopt a child and then raising him/her. I am not sure if there will be a love story between them or if they will already be married when the soap begins. And will they have love scenes? Will they just kiss?
