The dialogue is awful, but then again I suspect it's meant to be like a B horror movie so maybe that's on purpose, and the various characters/plots often feel like their in different shows. Del Toro's direction was great (it's a shame he seems to only be directing the pilot...) That Sweet Caroline scene was brilliant. So I did like it, but I'm not sold on many aspects of it yet. But it's entertaining, and it's take on an often-told story was good. My only complaint last year was the make-up for the Master was a little hokey.
