Sex and the City: Good Article

I don't hear of SATC as being 'a joke'. It's still highly revered in my neighborhood as a classic, entertaining show. The only joke was the 2nd movie (which I didn't have a problem with; it was just a fluffy 2 hour episode, not an epic conclusion to the story like the 1st movie), plus the idea that some people just wouldn't let the show die. But the fact that people still like to categorize themselves as a Carrie, Samantha, etc. shows how the show has resonated and stood the test of time in terms of showing dating, relationships, break-ups, etc., whether the viewer is a straight female or a gay male.

Reruns still air all the time and people watch. It's like The Golden Girls, Roseanne, Seinfeld (never got the hype on that one) or Friends. Newer generations are finding the show and loving it, while the original viewers still love to see the same episodes play even after seeing them 10-20 times already.

"And just like that..." "In a city like Manhattan..."

Haters are gonna hate, but I just love, love, love! :)
