Members quartermainefan
They are covering Amy Winehouse's signature song and reports surfaced first Mr Winehouse trashed it and Beyonce, and then where he said he never said any such thing. I love the song and there is something catchy about this portion that is already online. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Xi5nAEKqvYA?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> But the original is such a classic <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/TJAfLE39ZZ8?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Glee had a good cover too but not very original Do you think there is any upside for Beyonce in covering this song? She will never be considered a better singer than Winehouse and this was one of her mega songs.
Members Soaplovers
I think the whole hip-hop element is a total no no.. especially in a movie that is set in the 1920s. perhaps if they had updated the movie, they could have done a hip-hop and electro-pop soundtrack. I still don't know why they couldn't have used the original Amy Whinehouse instead of this poor remake?
Members I Am A Swede
It wasn't quite as awful as I thought it would be, but it's still bad, and Beyonce lacks any kind of emotion in her voice. But maybe I'm a bit biased since I absolutely love Amy's original version.
Members JackPeyton
I love the original and i love this, I love how different it is. When artists remake a song the exact same I wonder what the point is.
