To me it is a career mistake for Jimmy Fallon to try to make nice with Jay Leno. When Jimmy Fallon takes over, it will actually boost his publicity if it looks like he backstabbed Leno. This isn't Matt Lauer/Ann Curry at all. Jay Leno has it coming so bad and the bloodier Jimmy Fallon's hands, the more I will like him.
