I'm new to this so I'm not entirely sure but I'm guessing if I watch from my smart tv and hook up my dvd recorder to the tv it should be able to record as I watch, right? I hope so. I haven't signed up for Hulu yet. I'm waiting until it gets closer to April 29th before I sign up.

I don't know. I have appletv, and I'm not very savvy about that stuff. I don't know if I even have a dvd recorder anymore. I have a Samsung blue ray player, that is internet capable, but I don't think it records.

You don't need to record the shows. The shows will be posted on Hulu at noon each day starting April 29th, for viewing whenever you so please. All you have to do is hit play when you want to watch the shows.

If you are planning on using iTunes to watch the shows, you can use your Apple TV. You will have to pay though, although PP/Apple has not announced pricing/subscription details for iTunes yet.

Your Samsung Blu-Ray player may (and probably does) have the Hulu Plus app on it. You can check by reading the manual or by just going onto the player and seeing if it's there. Hulu Plus has a $7.99/month subscription, I would only get it if you are planning on using Hulu Plus to watch more than just AMC and/or OLTL.

Right, but I was thinking about about making dvds to send to Eric in Canada if need be. Do you know? Will it record hulu+ off the tv if the recorder is hooked up to the tv?

Hmmm...I don't know about that. Usually when you watch something via an app (especially a subscription-based one), recording is disabled so people can't get around getting a subscription. Again, there may be a way, I'd suggest checking the manual or maybe someone else knows how to do it.

EDIT TO ADD: I know that with iTunes, you actually own the episodes as if you were buying a DVD from a store. It may be possible from that, but I don't know.

I really don't think we're all going to have to resort to smuggling Eric DVDs or Betamax tapes like the Underground [!@#$%^&*] Railroad. I believe they'll work out a deal for Canada.

The AppleTV has both iTunes and Hulu and Netflix. I love it! The Samsung only has Hulu and Netflix.

I agree. Sounds like it's already in the works. But Salem was just being nice. I still want to know about recording them somehow. Mainly out of curiousity. It's just all so different. No more fan produced videos. Sigh. (just kidding. i hate them)

I'm sure they will make it available in Canada. I was just trying to help. dry.png I still would like to know if we are able to record though. Just out of curiosity.

I completely forgot that Hulu and Netflix were on Apple TV. I was just connecting Apple products together.

I'm quite sure that PP will make it available in Canada, and that they have been working on a deal all this time, but can't talk about it because nothing is in place.

However, they had to say something because the Bitch/Moan/Whine club AKA Facebook wouldn't stop asking about it.
